Lymphopoiesis stimulating drugs were injected into the blood of rabbits bearing Brown-Pearce transplantable tumor. It was found that treatment with mannitol targeted on osmoregulation mechanisms and terrilytin--on blood and lymph coagulation intensified the lymphogenic migration of tumor cells. When used in an experimental series involving endolymphic transplantation of tumor cells, the said drugs promoted tumor cell passage from lymph to blood, which resulted in an increased number of metastasis-bearing animals. It was also found that the promoting effect may be counteracted by preliminary endolymphic injection of a fat-soluble antitumor preparation. Lymphopoiesis and lymph flow stimulation in conjunction with thoracic duct draining may be used for removal of tumor cells from the lymphatics.

In spontaneous regression of rat sarcoma 45, Walker carcinosarcoma in rats and Brown-Pearce carcinoma in rabbits there was found biochemically and histochemically the enhancement of oxidation processes in the organism of animals, which was associated with the reduction of the ATP content, the increased rate of the coupling of oxidation to phosphorylation. Not only the normalization of all steps of the energetic provision chain in observed but also the exceeding of separate parameters of the energy homeostasis with relation to normal values.

It is noted that rats with Heren carcinoma show alkalization of blood, decreased pH levels of the urine, hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesiemia, sodium and water retention, increased kalium level in the liver. Analogous changes are observed in rabbits with Brown-Pearce carcinoma. The organism of tumor-bearing rats responds to stress effects otherwise than the organism of normal animals.

In rabbits transplanted Brown-Pearce carcinoma the content of nitrous compounds in tissues is changed in a different way: in the liver and kidneys -- nitrous compounds are accumulated, while in cardiac and skeletal muscles their concentration is diminished. It is found that tumor cells in mice with Ehrlich carcinoma accumulate radioactive aminoacid considerably faster than adjacent tissues not involved by neoplasma. A continuous glucose administration in tumor-bearing rabbits renders a marked nitrogen-saving effect by means of attenuation of catabolism of myoproteins, as a result of it the balance between the processes of synthesis and catabolism in host tissues is shifted toward synthesis.
