RESUMO
O autor propõe considerar que todos os funcionamentos psíquicos desenvolvem uma função com relação ao limite. Nas problemáticas do tipo neurótica onde a questão do limite não é uma questão central a função limite é garantida no curso do próprio funcionamento psíquico. Por outro lado, nas problemáticas narcísicas identitárias nas quais esta função se apresenta com dificuldades a questão do limite e do que pode lhe garantir a manutenção passa ao primeiro plano do funcionamento psíquico(AU)
ABSTRACT
The author suggest that all the psychic functionings develop a function related to limit. In the neurotic conflicts, where the issue of limit is not a core problem, the limit function is guaranteed during the evolution of the psychic functioning. On the other hand, in the narcissistic conflicts of identity, in which the limit function presents some difficulties, the issues of limit and of what can assure its maintenance appear as central aspects of the psychic functioning(AU)
