ABSTRACT
A pospective study of day-care surgery on 82 patients at the University Hospital of the West Indies over a seventeen-month period is reported. The efficacy and safety of the procedure, particularly in children, is confirmed. The increase in patient turnover and the reduced incidence of infection are further advantages.
