ABSTRACT
Introduction:
In adolescence, concepts such as identity, body image, self esteem, are put to the test in social interactions, and the sense of group belonging is of utmost relevance.Objective:
To describe changes in mood, school performance, social interactions, communication with teachers and family, in six adolescents with disability, at risk for school desertion, as a result of a therapeutic group intervention in the school environment.Methodology:
A therapeutic group intervention in the school environment was performed, with a one year follow-up, with six adolescents whom attended the Work Unit at the Teletón Rehabilitation Institute, in Santiago, during the year 2010. Patients went through a previous brief psychological intervention, based on past and present biographic introspective analysis, signifying their identity and life story.Results:
Improvements in school performance, depressive and anxious mood, communication to peers and teachers were observed. While responding directly to the patients initial consultation motive, the intervention had a positive impact on psychosocial well- being, and thus enhanced inclusion.Conclusion:
Therapeutic group intervention in the school environment for adolescents with disability results in improvements in several psychosocial well-being indicators.RESUMEN

En la adolescencia, conceptos como identidad, imagen corporal, autoestima, se ponen a prueba socialmente y el sentido de pertenencia al grupo cobra relevancia significativa.Objetivo:
Describir cambios en el estado anímico, desempeño escolar, interacción con pares, comunicación con profesores y familias de seis adolescentes en condición de discapacidad y en riesgo de deserción escolar como resultado de intervención terapéutica grupal en ambiente escolar.Metodología:
Intervención terapéutica grupal en el contexto escolar con seguimiento de un año, en seis adolescentes que asistieron a la unidad laboral del Instituto Teletón de Santiago, durante el año 2010. Previamente se realiza intervención psicológica individual breve, con base en el análisis introspectivo sobre el pasado y presente biográfico, significando la identidad y la historia vital.Resultados:
Se observa mejoría en el rendimiento escolar, en el estado de ánimo depresivo y ansioso, en la comunicación con pares y profesores, impactando positivamente en el bienestar psicosocial, favoreciendo directamente los procesos inclusivos, respondiendo asía las necesidades del motivo de consulta inicial.Conclusiones:
La intervención terapéutica grupal del entorno educativo de adolescentes en condición de discapacidad, resulta en mejoras del desempeño de éste en diversas áreas.Palavras-chave
