A search for Y. enterocolitica in fresh foods of animal origin has been carried out. Isolations were obtained from [quot ]chorizos[quot ] (thick fresh sausages), [quot ]salchichas[quot ] (slender fresh sausages), bovine and pigs tongues and caecum (Tables 1, 2).
