ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of complete mesocolic excision in the treatment of colon cancer. Methods From January 2011 to September 2016,60 patients with colon cancer in Jiexiu People's Hospital were selected in the research and randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received the traditional radical surgery, the observation group was treated with complete mesocolic excision. The intraoperative and postoperative conditions were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss, number of resected lymph nodes, hospitalization time in the observation group were (93. 11 ± 15. 27) mL, (26. 55 ± 5. 64),(11. 82 ± 4. 01)d,respectively,which in the control group were (121. 96 ± 24. 59)mL,(14. 52 ± 3. 21),(16. 54 ± 4. 95) d,respectively, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups( t =5. 459,10. 153,4. 058,all P < 0. 05). The incidence rate of complication of the observation group was 3. 33% ,which was significantly lower than 20. 00% of the control group (χ2 = 4. 043,P < 0. 05). Conclusion Complete mesocolic excision in the treatment of colon cancer has advantages of less surgical trauma, less complications and low recurrence rate.
