ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

PIP: The vaginal smears of 500 women were investigated by fluorescence and vaginal trichomoniasis was found in 6.8% of the cases. The fluorescence staining was successful. The incidence of infection was higher, 9.1%, in women wearing IUDs, in 9.1% of the subjects with normal menstrual cycles, and in the 10.5% of women who were pregnant. Various causes are discussed.
