RESUMEN
El presente trabajo hace un recorrido por la evolución histórica de la Gastroenterología en nuestro país; entre los aspectos que se abordan se encuentran el surgimiento de la fibra óptica, su revolución en el tiempo, hasta llegar al siglo XXI, donde existe un equipo muy desarrollado, con una fibra óptica flexible, de calibre milimétrico, que permite dar un diagnóstico muy eficaz, con alta positividad y especificidad diagnóstica(AU)
ABSTRACT
The present work makes a journey through the historical evolution of Gastroenterology in our country. Among the aspects taken into account are the emergence of the optical fiber and its revolution in time until the 21st century, in which there is highly developed equipment, with a flexible optical fiber with pinpoint caliber that allows a very effective diagnosis, with a high level of diagnostic positivity and specificity(AU)
