ABSTRACT Objective: To determine the correlation between the organizational climate, job satisfaction and burnout in the administrative staff of the Daniel Alcides Carrión National University. Methodology: The research was designed as a quantitative study applied with a correlational approach. A cross-sectional non-experimental design was used, since the measurements of the variables were made at a single time. The study population corresponded to a total of430 employees of the Daniel Alcides Carrión National University, which is why a simple random sampling was applied, with a confidence level of 95 % and a margin of error of 5 %, which allowed to determine a sample of 157 employees. For data collection, the survey technique was applied, therefore, three questionnaires were designed as instruments, one for each variable, with a Likert-type response scale. In the case of the Organizational Climate variable, this was based on three dimensions, namely: a) Recognition, b) Teamwork and c) Innovation, which helped to configure a total of 15 items to be evaluated. For the Job Satisfaction variable, it was based on three dimensions, which were: a) Job satisfaction, b) Satisfaction with remuneration and c) Satisfaction with the physical environment, constituting in turn 15 items to be evaluated, while for the Burnout variable, three dimensions were considered: a) Personal exhaustion, b) Depersonalization and c) Demotivation, for a total of 15 items to be evaluated. The questionnaires were subjected to a validity process according to the opinion of experts, who considered that they were suitable in their construction for application, in addition a pilot test was applied with a sample of 85participants, who were not part of the one included in the study, which allowed to determine that these instruments had an internal consistency of Cronbachs Alpha of0.97, 0.95 and 0.89 for the organizational climate, job satisfaction and burnout variables respectively. The data were systematized in an Excel spreadsheet to perform the descriptive statistical analysis, using measures of central tendency to check the frequency and behavior of the variables. Then, the SPSS version 22 program was used to perform inferential statistical calculations. the distribution of the normality of the data was statistically verified using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, since the number of the sample was greater than fifty. For the determination of the correlation between the variables, the Spearman rank correlation coefficient was used, because the sample presented a non-normal distribution. The significance of the correlation was established by a level of p<0.05 for hypothesis testing. Results: The results showed that between the Organizational climate variable and the Recognition dimension there is an average level of satisfaction (61.14 %), 35.67 % showed a high level of satisfaction and 3.19 % a very high level of satisfaction. Between the Organizational climate and the Teamwork dimension, a result of 2.23 was obtained, which indicates a perception that there is good teamwork. Regarding the Organizational climate and Innovation, it was found that 52.23 % of employees almost alwaysfeel stimulated to innovate, 33.12 % always feel motivated to innovate and 14.6 5 % sometimes feel that motivation. With respect to the variable Job Satisfaction and the dimension satisfaction with work, it was obtained that 60.5 % feel indifferent with respect to job satisfaction and 39.5 % are satisfied. For the Satisfaction with Remuneration dimension, 36.4 % of employees feel indifferent about their remuneration, 39.8 % feel satisfied and 13.1 % feel very satisfied with their remuneration. Regarding the dimension Satisfaction with the physical environment, 38.8 % declared themselves indifferent with respect to this dimension, 23.2 %o feel satisfied and 0.8 % of the samplefeel very satisfied with the physical environment. With respect to the Burnout variable and the Personal exhaustion dimension, 47.13 % of the employees presented a high level of personal burnout, 33.12 % revealed to have an average level of burnout and 19.75% showed a very high level of burnout. As for the aspect of Depersonalization, the results showed that the majority represented by 85.35% has a very high level of depersonalization, only 0.64 % presented a high level of depersonalization and 14.01 % presented an average level of depersonalization. As for the Demotivation dimension, it was obtained that 30.57 % of employees showed an average level of demotivation, while 69.43 % of workers showed a high level. Finally, the results revealed a positive and significant correlation (Spearman's Rho = 0.299) between organizational climate and job satisfaction. Likewise, a weak negative correlation (-0.153) was observed between organizational climate and burnout. In relation to the organizational climate and burnout variables, a weak negative correlation was observed with a coefficient of-0.153. While for the variables job satisfaction and burnout, a correlation coefficient of-0.024 was observed very close to zero. Conclusion: There is a positive and significant correlation between organizational climate and job satisfaction, and a negative and significant correlation between organizational climate and burnout, suggesting that a better organizational climate is associated with higher satisfaction and lower burnout in workers. This relationship highlights the importance of promoting a positive and conducive work environment to improve the job satisfaction of administrative staff. The need to focus on recognition as an essential component to promote greater job satisfaction is highlighted, it is also observed that teamwork and innovation are key aspects that contribute to the favorable organizational climate at the university. These conclusions emphasize the importance of implementing policies and practices that promote recognition, teamwork and the promotion of innovation as strategies to improve job satisfaction and prevent burnout in administrative staff. It is also highlighted that at higher levels of organizational climate, lower levels of administrative staff are observed, which is why it is important to create a healthy work environment and support the emotional well-being of employees to prevent job burnout. Ultimately, the relationship between organizational climate, job satisfaction and burnout are a multidimensional dynamic that requires a holistic approach. By continuing to research and apply effective approaches to improving the work climate, organizations can cultivate an environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and able to contribute meaningfully. Doingso will not only benefit the workers and the organization, but also set a higher standardfor well-being in the overall work environment.

Abstract Background: Working memory-based spatial cognition has attracted the attention of the scientific community in navigation and reorientation projects. The dominant approach considers that spontaneous spatial navigation behavior is based merely on environmental geometry (built and natural environmental objects). In this domain, DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder) motor skill orientation problems have been frequently associated with poor visuospatial cognition, while immersive VR environments encourage more repetition, allowing for faster motor skill development and recovery. Objective: This pilot study tested the functionality of an immersive VR environment with environmental geometry (rectangular arena rich in symmetry) and featural landmark cues (striped wall, flora) as a route-learning tool for children with motor skill disorders. Methods: Forty DCD children aged 5 to 8 years (20 boys and 20 girls); five (5) 3D reality modeling setups with orthogonality, symmetry, and striped walls as design parameters; and trial walk-through coordination exercises using a predefined visual pathway with different motor control conditions (daylight, darkness). Participants' path completion rate, path completion time, and walk-through satisfaction were recorded as route-learning performance variables and analyzed statistically. Results/findings: DCD children's spatial orientation was statistically shown to be more stable and robust (in path completion rates, termination time, and walk-through level of satisfaction) in a virtual 3D environment rich in orthogonality, symmetry, and featural cues as landmarks. In this compound environmental geometry setup, training functionality and immersive learning performance enjoyed an 8.16% better path completion rate, a 12.37% reduction in path completion time, and 32.10% more walk-through satisfaction than reality modeling setups poor in geometry and landmarks. The effectiveness and robustness were validated statistically. Conclusion: Children with motor skill difficulties train and learn better in virtual 3D environments that are rich in orthogonality, symmetry, and featural landmark cues.


Resumen Antecedentes: La cognición espacial basada en la memoria de trabajo ha atraído la atención de la comunidad científica en proyectos de navegación y reorientación. El enfoque dominante considera que el comportamiento espontáneo de navegación espacial se basa meramente en la geometría ambiental (objetos ambientales construidos y naturales). En este ámbito, los problemas de orientación de las habilidades motoras del TDC (Trastorno del Desarrollo de la Coordinación) se han asociado con frecuencia a una cognición visoespacial deficiente, mientras que los entornos de RV (Realidad Virtual) inmersivos fomentan una mayor repetición, lo que permite un desarrollo y una recuperación más rápidos de las habilidades motoras. Objetivo: Este estudio piloto probó la funcionalidad de un entorno de RV inmersiva con geometría ambiental (arena rectangular rica en simetría) y señales de puntos de referencia característicos (pared rayada, flora) como herramienta de aprendizaje de rutas para niños con trastornos de la habilidad motora. Métodos: Cuarenta niños con TDC de entre 5 y 8 años (20 niños y 20 niñas); cinco (5) configuraciones de modelado de realidad 3D con ortogonalidad, simetría y paredes rayadas como parámetros de diseño; y ejercicios de coordinación de recorrido de prueba utilizando una ruta visual predefinida con diferentes condiciones de control motor (luz diurna, oscuridad). Se registraron la tasa de finalización del recorrido, el tiempo de finalización del recorrido y el grado de satisfacción de los participantes como variables de rendimiento del aprendizaje de recorridos y se analizaron estadísticamente. Resultados: Se demostró estadísticamente que la orientación espacial de los niños con TDC era más estable y robusta (en tasas de finalización del camino, tiempo de finalización y nivel de satisfacción del recorrido) en un entorno 3D virtual rico en ortogonalidad, simetría y señales de características como puntos de referencia. En esta configuración de geometría ambiental compuesta, la funcionalidad del entrenamiento y el rendimiento del aprendizaje inmersivo disfrutaron de un 8,16% más de tasa de finalización de ruta, una reducción del 12,37% en el tiempo de finalización de ruta y un 32,10% más de satisfacción de recorrido que las configuraciones de modelado de realidad pobres en geometría y puntos de referencia. La eficacia y la solidez se validaron estadísticamente. Conclusiones: Los niños con dificultades motrices entrenan y aprenden mejor en entornos virtuales 3D ricos en ortogonalidad, simetría y puntos de referencia característicos.

Abstract Objective: Body image is a predictor of physical, psychological, and social health. Therefore, it can be an indicator for detecting health problems, to be used in the context of higher education. The aim of this study was to assess body image satisfaction in higher education students and to determine whether body image dissatisfaction is related to lifestyle behaviours and life satisfaction. Methodology: This study included 166 Portuguese higher education students. Body image was assessed using the Figure Rating Scale. Active choices during everyday life were assessed using the Active Choice Index. The questionnaire also included questions about sleep behaviour and tobacco and alcohol consumption. Satisfaction with Life was assessed using a five-item scale previously adapted for the Portuguese population. Results: There was a predominance of boys dissatisfied with thinness (26.10%), while the majority of girls revealed that they were dissatisfied due to being overweight (55.70%). The results indicate statistically significant differences between boys and girls in terms of body image categories (p<0.001). However, when we analysed the behaviours separately according to gender, there were no differences. Active behaviours, as well as the other health behaviours analysed (hours of sleep per week and alcohol and tobacco consumption) did not differ between the different levels of body image satisfaction (p>0.05). Conclusion: Most of the students are dissatisfied with their body image, with the majority of girls showing dissatisfaction due to being overweight. Lifestyles and life satisfaction do not differ between students who are satisfied and those who are dissatisfied with their body image.


Resumen Objetivo: La imagen corporal es un factor predictivo de la salud psicológica, física y social. Por lo tanto, puede ser un indicador para detectar problemas de salud, para utilizar en el contexto de la educación superior. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la satisfacción con la imagen corporal en estudiantes de enseñanza superior y determinar si la insatisfacción con la imagen corporal está relacionada con los comportamientos de estilo de vida y la satisfacción con la vida. Metodología: En este estudio participaron 166 estudiantes portugueses de enseñanza superior. La imagen corporal se evaluó mediante la escala Figure Rating Scale. Las elecciones activas durante la vida cotidiana se evaluaron mediante el Active Choice Index. El cuestionario también incluía preguntas sobre el comportamiento durante el sueño y el consumo de tabaco y alcohol. La satisfacción con la vida se evaluó mediante una escala de cinco ítems previamente adaptada a la población portuguesa. Resultados: Predominaron los chicos insatisfechos por delgadez (26.10%), mientras que la mayoría de las chicas revelaron estar insatisfechas por sobrepeso (55.70%). Los resultados indican diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre chicos y chicas en cuanto a las categorías de imagen corporal (p<0.001). Sin embargo, al analizar los comportamientos por separado en función del sexo, no se observaron diferencias. Las conductas activas, así como las demás conductas de salud analizadas (horas de sueño semanales y consumo de alcohol y tabaco) no difirieron entre los distintos niveles de satisfacción con la imagen corporal (p>0.05). Conclusiones: La mayoría de los estudiantes están insatisfechos con su imagen corporal, siendo mayoritaria la insatisfacción de las chicas por sobrepeso. Los estilos de vida y la satisfacción vital no difieren entre los alumnos satisfechos y los insatisfechos con su imagen corporal.

Resumen Introducción: Existe un creciente interés en la relación entre la orientación sexual de una persona y su bienestar subjetivo, por el vínculo de dicha orientación con diversas esferas de la vida, como apoyo social, salud y satisfacción vital. Sin embargo, la investigación sobre la relación entre estas variables en función de la orientación sexual es escasa en población universitaria. Este estudio examina la asociación entre el apoyo de familia, amistades y otras personas con la satisfacción vital, de forma directa y mediada por la salud autopercibida; se comparan estas relaciones en estudiantes universitarios heterosexuales y lesbianas, gays, bisexuales y de otras orientaciones no heterosexuales (LGB+) en Chile. Método: La muestra (n = 525) respondió un cuestionario en línea con preguntas sociodemográficas, sobre apoyo social percibido, salud autopercibida y satisfacción vital. Los datos se analizaron utilizando un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales y análisis multigrupo. Resultados: El apoyo familiar se asoció positivamente con la satisfacción vital, directamente y mediado por la salud autopercibida, tanto en estudiantes heterosexuales como LGB+; el apoyo de amigos y de otras personas mostró asociaciones diferenciadas por orientación sexual. Sin embargo, este modelo fue estadísticamente similar para ambos grupos. Conclusiones: Estos hallazgos destacan la relevancia de distintos tipos de apoyo social en la satisfacción vital de estudiantes universitarios según su orientación sexual.


Abstract Introduction: The literature shows an increasing interest in the relationship between individuals' sexual orientation and their subjective well-being, linking the former to various spheres of life, such as social support, health, and life satisfaction. However, research on the impact of sexual orientation in the relationship between subjective well-being variables is scarce in the university population. This study examined the associations between support from family, friends and other people with life satisfaction, directly and mediated by self-perceived health, comparing these relationships in heterosexual and lesbian, gay, bisexual and other non-heterosexual (LGB+) university students in Chile. Method: The sample (n = 525) answered an online questionnaire with sociodemographic questions about perceived social support, self-perceived health, and life satisfaction. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and multigroup analysis. Results: Family support was positively associated with life satisfaction, directly and mediated by self-perceived health, in both heterosexual and LGB+ students; support from friends and others showed differential associations by sexual orientation. However, the proposed model was statistically similar for both groups. Conclusion: These findings highlight the relevance of different types of support on the life satisfaction of university students according to their sexual orientation.

Objetivo: avaliar os fatores clínicos associados ao bem-estar das mulheres durante o trabalho de parto e parto à luz da bioética principialista e da deontologia. Método: estudo transversal com abordagem quantitativa. Participaram 396 puérperas internadas em um hospital municipal do sudoeste da Bahia, e os dados foram coletados no período de janeiro a maio de 2023, após aprovação do comitê de ética em pesquisa. Os dados foram organizados no software Excel e analisados via SPSS v.25. a partir da regressão logística multinomial. Resultados: a maior parte da amostra apresentou bem-estar com assistência em saúde, mulheres que tiveram parto realizado por profissionais não médicos apresentaram mais chances de níveis de bem-estar "adequado". E mulheres que não tiveram a via de parto cesárea apresentaram aumento de chances de bem-estar. Conclusão: é necessário que os profissionais reflitam sobre suas ações, condicionando-as à humanização no parto, em observância aos princípios bioéticos.


Objective: to evaluate the clinical factors associated with women's well-being during labor and delivery in the light of bioethics principlism and deontology. Method: a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach was conducted. It involved 396 postpartum women admitted to a municipal hospital in the southwest of Bahia. Data were collected from January to May 2023, after approval from the research ethics committee. The data were tabulated using Excel software and analyzed using SPSS v.25 through Multinomial Logistic Regression. Results: majority of the sample exhibited well-being with health care assistance. Women who underwent delivery performed by non-medical professionals showed higher chances of "adequate" levels of well-being. Additionally, women who did not undergo cesarean delivery showed increased chances of well-being. Conclusion: It is necessary for professionals to reflect on their actions, conditioning them to the humanization of childbirth, according to bioethical principles.


Objetivo: evaluar los factores clínicos asociados al bienestar de la mujer durante el trabajo de parto y parto a la luz de la bioética y la deontología principialista. Método: estudio transversal con enfoque cuantitativo. Incluyó 396 puérperas ingresadas en un hospital municipal del suroeste de Bahía. Recolección de datos de enero a mayo de 2023, con aprobación del comité de ética en investigación. Los datos se tabularon en el software Excel y se analizaron mediante SPSS v.25. utilizando regresión logística multinomial. Resultados: la mayoría de las participantes de la muestra presentó bienestar con la atención para la salud; las que tuvieron partos realizados por profesionales no médicos tenían más probabilidades de tener niveles "adecuados" de bienestar; las que no tuvieron parto por cesárea tenían mayores probabilidades de tener bienestar. Conclusión: es necesario que los profesionales reflexionen sobre sus acciones y las adecuen para humanizar el parto, respetando los principios bioéticos.

En la relación de pareja, el empleo del celular puede llegar a ocasionar conflictos, lo que afectaría la valoración de la unión conyugal. Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre la satisfacción con la relación de pareja y los conflictos por el uso del celular en adultos peruanos. Materiales y Métodos. Estudio cuantitativo, de tipo no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La muestra fue constituida por 325 adultos peruanos mediante un muestreo no probabilístico. La información se recolectó mediante la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumento dos cuestionarios, la Escala de Valoración de la Relación propuesto por Hendrick y la Escala de Conflictos Relacionados al uso del celular de Roberts y David. Resultados. La satisfacción con la relación de pareja fue mayormente moderada para el 43,5%. Entre tanto, indicaron algún nivel de conflicto por el uso del celular el 72,9%. Además, no se encontró diferencias significativas en la satisfacción con la relación de pareja según el sexo. Conclusiones. Existe relación negativa moderada y significativa entre la satisfacción con la relación de pareja y los conflictos por el uso del celular en adultos peruanos (rs= -0.456), donde se alcanzó una p=0,000 (<0.05). De esta manera se sostiene que a mayor satisfacción, menores serán los conflictos percibidos por el uso del celular.


In the couple relationship, the use of cell phones can lead to conflicts, which would affect the assessment of the marital union. Objective: To determine the association between satisfaction with the couple relationship and conflicts due to cell phone use in Peruvian adults. Materials and Methods. Quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational study. The sample consisted of 325 Peruvian adults through non-probabilistic sampling. The information was collected using the survey technique and two questionnaires as instruments, the Relationship Assessment Scale proposed by Hendrick and the Conflicts Related to Cell Phone Use Scale by Roberts and David. Results. Satisfaction with the couple relationship was mostly moderate at 43.5%. Meanwhile, 72.9% indicated some level of conflict due to cell phone use. Furthermore, no significant differences were found in satisfaction with the couple relationship according to sex. Conclusions. There is a moderate and significant negative relationship between satisfaction with the couple relationship and conflicts due to cell phone use in Peruvian adults (rs= -0.456), where p=0.000 (<0.05) was reached. In this way, it is argued that the greater the satisfaction, the fewer the perceived conflicts due to cell phone use.

Objetivo: Determinar a associação entre a satisfação com o relacionamento conjugal e os conflitos devido ao uso de celular em adultos peruanos. Materiais e Métodos. Estudo quantitativo, não experimental, transversal e correlacional. A amostra foi constituída por 325 adultos peruanos através de amostragem não probabilística. As informações foram coletadas utilizando a técnica de survey e dois questionários como instrumentos, a Escala de Avaliação de Relacionamento proposta por Hendrick e a Escala de Conflitos Relacionados ao Uso de Celular de Roberts e David. Resultados. A satisfação com o relacionamento conjugal foi predominantemente moderada em 43,5%. Enquanto isso, 72,9% indicaram algum nível de conflito devido ao uso de celular. Além disso, não foram encontradas diferenças significativas na satisfação com o relacionamento conjugal de acordo com o sexo. Conclusões. Existe uma relação negativa moderada e significativa entre a satisfação com o relacionamento conjugal e os conflitos devido ao uso de celular em adultos peruanos (rs= -0,456), onde foi atingido p=0,000 (<0,05). Dessa forma, argumenta-se que quanto maior a satisfação, menores serão os conflitos percebidos devido ao uso de celular.

SUMMARY: The importance and relevance of e-learning courses in medicine and health sciences has increased significantly in the last decade. Despite this, there are few published teaching experiences of e-learning histology courses in the literature worldwide. The histology course we designed was structured on the Moodle platform as a learning management system, and the content was proposed in a synchronous (zoom) and asynchronous (recordings) format. We also included the use of free virtual microscopy tools. This study aimed to investigate the impact of an e-learning histology course on the satisfaction and performance of medical, nursing and midwifery students. The sample included 424 Chilean medical, nursing, and midwifery students from two cohorts. A Likert-type survey was administered at the end of the course. We performed exploratory analysis and ordinary least squares regression. In this study, we present a positive experience of an e-learning histology course. Exploratory factor analysis revealed three main factors related to "e- learning satisfaction", "in-person class activities", and "course design and teaching quality". We also found that there was a positive and significant relationship between students' perceptions of the adaptation of the traditional (face-to-face) histology course into an e-learning format and their academic performance. Our study shows that e-learning histology courses that integrate lectures and practical sessions can be a valuable teaching method for learning histology. Curriculum developers and teachers need to consider the limitations and advantages of this type of teaching and incorporate these three factors into the design and assessment of e-learning histology courses.


La importancia y relevancia de los cursos e-learning en medicina y ciencias de la salud ha aumentado significativamente en la última década. A pesar de ello, existen pocas experiencias docentes publicadas de cursos de histología e-learning en la literatura a nivel mundial. El curso de histología que diseñamos se estructuró en la plataforma Moodle, y los contenidos se propusieron en formato síncrono (zoom) y asíncrono (grabaciones). También incluimos el uso de herramientas gratuitas de microscopía virtual. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar el impacto de un curso de histología e-learning en la satisfacción y el rendimiento de los estudiantes de medicina, enfermería y obstetricia. La muestra incluyó 424 estudiantes chilenos de medicina, enfermería y obstetricia de dos cohortes. Se aplicó una encuesta tipo Likert al final del curso. Se realizó un análisis exploratorio y una regresión por mínimos cuadrados ordinarios. En este estudio, presentamos una experiencia positiva de un curso de e-learning de histología. El análisis factorial exploratorio reveló tres factores principales relacionados con la "satisfacción sobre el aprendizaje e-learning", "clases presenciales versus clases virtuales" y el "diseño del curso y la calidad de la enseñanza". También encontramos que existía una relación positiva y significativa entre las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre la adaptación del curso de histología tradicional (presencial) a un formato e-learning y su rendimiento académico. Nuestro estudio muestra que los cursos de histología e-learning que integran clases teóricas y sesiones prácticas pueden ser una valiosa herramienta de enseñanza. Los responsables de la elaboración de planes de estudios y los profesores de histología deben tener en cuenta las limitaciones y ventajas de este tipo de enseñanza y sugerimos incorporar estos tres factores al diseño y la evaluación de los cursos de histología en línea.

Introdução:A relevância da participação e controle social, promulgados pela Constituição Federal de 1988, garante o exercício da cidadania ao permitir que a população participe ativamente na formulação das políticas públicas de saúde. Neste contexto, surgiram as ouvidorias públicas, com o objetivo de permitir a escuta direta da população, dando protagonismo à sociedade civil.Objetivo:Elaborar um planejamento estratégico e avaliação sobre o tempo de espera por atendimento e internação em um hospital universitário. Metodologia:Trata-se de um estudo ecológico, realizado em junho de 2023 num hospital de ensino no Nordeste do Brasil. Os dados foram obtidos de relatórios da avaliação de usuários atendidos no ambulatório e internação, nos anos de 2016, 2017, 2019 e 2022.Resultados:A partir da análise dos dados foi identificado que há discrepâncias nos índices de satisfação entre os anos estudados. A ausência de detalhes nos relatórios, causa vieses nas pesquisas de satisfação, uma vez que a cada ano é variável o número de usuários pesquisados e o questionário utilizado sofre mudanças nas perguntas, sem justificativa para as alterações. O tempo de espera pelo atendimento e internação foi avaliado e considerado o que obteve piores índices de satisfação.Conclusão:Os resultados deste estudo mostraram que a pesquisa de satisfação com o usuário é uma importante ferramenta de avaliação para a gestão, contudo, há necessidade de um método mais seguro para a execução da avaliação de satisfação. Otempo de espera tem sido uma variávelquefrequentementenão tem atendido de forma satisfatória, sendo necessário identificar e corrigir as causas desse desconforto. Espera-se que este estudo possa contribuir para o fortalecimento da ouvidoria e da pesquisa de satisfação como ferramentas de gestão (AU).


Introduction:The relevance of participation and social control, promulgated by the Federal Constitution of 1988, ensures the exercise of citizenship by allowing the population to participate actively in the formulation of public health policies.In this context, public ombudsmen arise, in order to allow direct listening of the population, giving prominence to civil society.Objective:The study aims to Elaborate a strategic planning and evaluation of the waiting time for care and hospitalization in a university hospital. Methodology:This is an ecological study, carried out in June 2023 in a teaching hospital in Northeast Brazil. Data were obtained from evaluation reports of users treated at the outpatient clinic and hospitalization, in the years 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022.Results:From the data analysis it was identified that there are discrepancies in the satisfaction rates between the years studied. The absence of methodology described in the reports causes bias in the satisfaction surveys, since each year the number of users surveyed is variable and the questionnaire used undergoes changes in the questions, without justification for the changes. The waiting time for care/hospitalization was considered the one that had the worst satisfaction rates.Conclusion:The results of this study showed that the user satisfaction survey is an important assessment tool for management, however, there is a need for a safer method for carrying out the satisfaction assessment. The waiting time has been a variable that has often not been attended satisfactorily, and it is necessary to identify and correct the causes of this discomfort. It is hoped that this study can contribute to strengthening the ombudsman and the satisfaction survey as management tools (AU).

La ausencia de metodología descrita en los informes, causa sesgos en las encuestas de satisfacción, una vez que cada año es variable el número de usuarios investigados yel cuestionario utilizado sufre cambios en las preguntas, sin justificación para las alteraciones. El tiempo de espera por la atención/internación fue considerado el que tuvo los peores índices de satisfacción.Conclusión:Los resultados de este estudio mostraron que la encuesta de satisfacción del usuario es una herramienta de evaluación importante para la gestión, sin embargo, existe la necesidad de un método más seguro para llevar a cabo la evaluación de la satisfacción. El tiempo de espera ha sido una variable que muchas veces no ha sido atendida satisfactoriamente, siendo necesario identificar y corregir las causas de este malestar. Se espera que este estudio pueda contribuir a fortalecer la Defensoría del Pueblo y la encuesta de satisfacción como herramientas de gestión (AU).

BACKGROUND: A telehealth mental health programme was designed at the LivingLab of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de Antioquia [University of Antioquia]. OBJECTIVES: To describe the development and operation of the programme and evaluate the satisfaction of the patients treated during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. METHODS: Descriptive study that details the development of the programme. Data were extracted from medical records to describe the patients who were treated. A satisfaction scale was applied to a random sample and the data were summarised with descriptive statistics. RESULTS: In March 2020 and August 2021, 10,229 patients were treated, with 20,276 treated by telepsychology and 4,164 by psychiatry, 1,808 by telepsychiatry and 2,356 by tele-expertise, with a total of 6,312 visits. The most frequent diagnoses were depressive (36.8%), anxiety (12.0%), and psychotic (10.7%) disorders. Respondents were satisfied to the point that more than 93% would recommend it to another person. CONCLUSIONS: The LivingLab telehealth mental health programme allowed for the care of patients with mental health problems and disorders in Antioquia during the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, and there was a high degree of satisfaction among the beneficiaries. Therefore it could be adopted in mental health care.

Este artigo descreve o acesso e a percepção do acesso de usuários a serviços especializados no tratamento do vírus da imunodeficiência humana e da Síndrome da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV/AIDS) em municípios baianos por meio de um recorte epidemiológico descritivo-analítico, com abordagem quantitativa de dados primários de estudo realizado em cinco serviços localizados na capital e oito no interior do estado da Bahia, Brasil. Participaram deste estudo 475 usuários, de 21 municípios baianos, predominantemente do sexo feminino, com faixa etária entre 25 e 44 anos, negros, cristãos, desempregados, com escolaridade compreendendo o ensino fundamental, renda de até três salários mínimos, heterossexual e cisgênero. O acesso à testagem para HIV e outras Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST), profilaxias de pós-exposição e pré-exposição e outros insumos de prevenção não constituíram motivação de inserção no serviço. O tratamento específico e a assistência médica para HIV e outras IST foi motivação para que a maioria dos participantes se direcionassem ao serviço especializado. O deslocamento até o serviço de referência é realizado principalmente por transportes coletivos, e o trajeto casa-serviço tem duração de pelo menos uma hora. O horário de funcionamento da unidade atende às necessidades da maior parte dos participantes, mas parcela dos usuários mencionaram o desejo de funcionamento em horários alternativos. A marcação de consultas é realizada principalmente de forma presencial e por telefone, com possibilidade de agendamento diário, assim a maioria dos usuários avaliaram a organização do serviço para marcação de consultas como boa ou muito boa. O tempo de espera, entre marcação e consulta, mais comum é de uma semana a um mês.


This article describes user access and perception of access to specialized HIV/AIDS services in Bahia municipalities by applying a qualitative epidemiological, descriptive-analytical approach to primary data from research conducted in five services located in the capital and eight in the countryside. A total of 475 users from 21 municipalities in Bahia participated in this study. Most were female, between 25 and 44 years old, Black, Christian, unemployed, with complete primary education, income of up to 3 minimum wages, heterosexual and cisgender. Access to HIV testing and other STIs, post-exposure and pre-exposure prophylaxis and other prevention inputs did not constitute motivation for procuring the service. Specific treatment and medical care for HIV and other STIs motivated most participants to turn to specialized services. Commuting to the reference service is made mainly by public transport and the home-service journey takes at least one hour. The unit's opening hours meet the needs of most participants, but some mentioned the desire for alternative operating times. Appointments are booked mainly in person and over the phone, with the possibility of daily scheduling, so most users rated the service organization for scheduling appointments as good or very good. The most common waiting time between booking and consultation is one week to one month.


Este artículo describe el acceso y la percepción de acceso de los usuarios a servicios especializados en el tratamiento del virus de inmunodeficiencia humana y síndrome de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH/sida) en municipios de Bahía (Brasil) mediante un enfoque epidemiológico, descriptivo-analítico, y un enfoque cuantitativo de datos primarios de un estudio realizado en cinco servicios ubicados en la capital y ocho en el interior del estado de Bahía. Participaron en este estudio 475 usuarios, de 21 municipios de Bahía, con mayor predominio femenino, con edades de entre 25 y 44 años, negros, cristianos, desempleados, con educación primaria, ingresos de hasta tres salarios mínimos, heterosexuales y cisgénero. El acceso a pruebas de VIH y otras infecciones de transmisión sexual (ITS), profilaxis posexposición y preexposición, y otros insumos de prevención no constituyeron una motivación para ingresar al servicio. El tratamiento específico y la asistencia médica para el VIH y otras ITS fueron la razón para que la mayoría de los participantes buscaran servicios especializados. El desplazamiento al servicio de referencia se realiza principalmente en transporte público, y el trayecto desde el domicilio al servicio tiene una duración mínima de una hora. El horario de atención de la unidad satisface las necesidades de la mayoría de los participantes, pero algunos usuarios mencionaron el deseo de que operase en horarios alternativos. Las citas se realizan principalmente de forma presencial y telefónica, con posibilidad de concertación diaria, por lo que la mayoría de los usuarios valoran como buena o muy buena la organización del servicio de citas. El tiempo de espera más habitual entre la reserva y la consulta es de una semana a un mes.

Resumen La gratitud ha sido considerada como un factor protector de diferentes enfermedades mentales y proporciona a los individuos mayores sentimientos de connotación positiva hacia la vida, lo que favorece al bienestar de las personas, pero poco se ha explorado su relación con la satisfacción con la vida y la resiliencia. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de la presente investigación es identificar si existe relación entre la gratitud, la resiliencia y la satisfacción con la vida, y compararlas según el sexo e ingresos económicos en adultos colombianos. Para ello se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental, con alcance correlacional. Se aplicaron los cuestionarios Cuestionario de Gratitud (G-20), Escala de Resiliencia Connor-Davidson (CD-RISC 10) y Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida (SWLS) en una muestra de 1099 participantes de nacionalidad colombiana, 123 hombres, 971 mujeres y 5 otros. Sus edades oscilaban entre los 19 y 67 años, y recibían en su mayoría mensualmente entre 400000COP y 900 000 COP (96.06USD-218.07USD). Los resultados mostraron altos niveles de gratitud, resiliencia y satisfacción con la vida, a nivel comparativo no se encontraron diferencias entre hombres y mujeres, los participantes con mayores ingresos económicos presentaron mayores niveles de gratitud y satisfacción con la vida en comparación de aquellos con menores ingresos, y finalmente se hallaron correlaciones fuertes y positivas entre la gratitud, resiliencia y satisfacción con la vida. En conclusión, puede contemplarse a la gratitud como un aspecto favorable para la salud, la calidad de vida y el mejoramiento de otras condiciones psicológicas.


Abstract Gratitude has been considered a protective factor against various mental illnesses, providing individuals with heightened positive feelings towards life, thereby promoting well-being. However, little exploration has been conducted on its relationship with life satisfaction and resilience. Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify whether there is a relationship between gratitude, resilience, and life satisfaction and to compare these factors based on gender and income among Colombian adults. A quantitative, non-experimental study with correlational scope was conducted. The Gratitude Questionnaire (G-20), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC 10), and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) were administered to a sample of 1099 Colombian partici-pants, including 123 men, 971 women, and 5 others. Participants ranged in age from 19 to 67 years, with the majority earning monthly incomes between 400,000 COP-900,000 COP (96.06 USD-218.07 USD). The results revealed high levels of gratitude, resilience, and life satisfaction. Comparatively, no differences were found between men and women. Participants with higher incomes exhibited greater levels of gratitude and life satisfaction compared to those with lower incomes. Furthermore, strong positive correlations were found between gratitude, resilience, and life satisfaction. In conclusion, gratitude can be considered a favorable aspect for health, quality of life, and the improvement of other psychological conditions

RESUMEN Introducción: Desarrollamos en nuestro centro un modelo asistencial ambulatorio para procedimientos coronarios percutáneos denominado Radial Lounge (RL). Los pacientes visten su propia ropa durante toda la estadía, sin restricciones de movilidad y sin necesidad de ayuno. Antes y después del procedimiento permanecen en un sillón acompañados por un familiar hasta el alta, sin monitoreo continuo y controlados por un enfermero dedicado exclusivamente a esta área. Objetivos: Evaluar la seguridad y eficacia del modelo asistencial del RL, la tasa de alta el mismo día (AMD), experiencia del paciente y eventos cardiovasculares adversos mayores (ECAM): mortalidad intrahospitalaria, mortalidad y rehospitalización a 30 días. Material y métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional de cohorte retrospectiva en un centro cardiovascular, en que se incluyeron consecutivamente pacientes sometidos a una angioplastia transluminal coronaria (ATC) electiva en el RL. Resultados: Se incluyeron 2102 procedimientos de ATC electivas realizadas bajo el modelo RL. La tasa de AMD fue del 85,3% en el primer año de su implementación (2018) y alcanzó un 89% en 2022. Al evaluar la experiencia de los pacientes, el puntaje promedio obtenido a través de la encuesta de Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) fue 9,61/10. La tasa de ECAM no fue mayor que la reportada en la literatura. Conclusiones: El programa de ATC en RL demostró ser un modelo seguro y efectivo en nuestra experiencia.


ABSTRACT Introduction: An outpatient model of care for percutaneous coronary procedures called Radial Lounge (RL) was designed at our center. Patients wear their own clothes throughout their stay, with no mobility restrictions and without fasting. Before and after the procedure, they remain in an armchair accompanied by a family member until discharge, without continuous monitoring, under the supervision of a nurse dedicated exclusively to this area. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the RL model of care, the same-day discharge (SDD) rate, patient experience, and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE): in-hospital mortality, overall mortality, and re-hospitalization at 30 days Methods: A retrospective observational cohort study was conducted at a cardiovascular center, including consecutively enrolled patients undergoing elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the RL. Results: A total of 2102 elective PCI procedures were included under the RL model. The SDD rate was 85.3% in the first year of its implementation (2018) and reached 89% in 2022. Assessing patient experience, the average score obtained through the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey was 9.61/10. The rate of MACE was not higher than that reported in the literature. Conclusion: The PCI program in the RL proved to be a safe and effective model in our experience.

RESUMEN Introducción: En el LivingLab de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Antioquia se diseñó un programa de telesalud mental. Objetivo: Describir el desarrollo y el funcionamiento del programa y evaluar la satisfacción de los pacientes atendidos en 2020 y 2021 durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo que detalla el desarrollo del programa. Se extrajeron los datos de las historias clínicas para describir a los pacientes atendidos. Se aplicó una escala de satisfacción a una muestra aleatoria y se resumieron los datos con estadística descriptiva. Resultados: Durante marzo de 2020 y agosto de 2021, se atendió a 10.229 pacientes con 20.276 atenciones por telepsicología y 4.164 por psiquiatría, 1.808 en la modalidad de telepsiquiatría y 2.356 en la de teleexperticia, con un total de 6.312 atenciones. Los diagnósticos más frecuentes fueron trastornos depresivos (36,8%), ansiosos (12,0%) y psicóticos (10,8%). Los encuestados se mostraron satisfechos, al punto de que más del 93% recomendaría el programa a otra persona. Conclusiones: El programa de telesalud mental del LivingLab permitió la atención de pacientes de Antioquia con problemas y trastornos mentales durante los primeros 2 años de la pandemia de COVID-19 y los beneficiarios mostraron un alto grado de satisfacción, por lo que podría adoptarse para la atención en salud mental.

Abstract Introduction: During the COVID-19 pandemic, people have experienced sudden changes in their lives, especially in their work dynamics. In this context, the balance of positive and negative affective experiences can influence workers' job satisfaction. Objectives: Explore the levels of job satisfaction, related to positive and negative affect, in a group of Latin American workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: The sample included 594 Latin American workers (M = 38, aged between 18 and 60; SD = 10.47), of both sexes, who answered a sociodemographic questionnaire online and two psychological measures of affect and job satisfaction. Ward's hierarchical cluster analysis and K-means were used as methods. Results: Four worker groups were identified: Group 1, high levels of positive and negative affect with high job satisfaction; Group 2, low levels of positive and negative affect with low job satisfaction; Group 3, high levels of positive affect and low levels of negative affect with high job satisfaction; Group 4, low levels of positive affect and high levels of negative affect with low job satisfaction. Conclusions: Groups with high levels of positive affect experienced high job satisfaction, while groups with high or low levels of negative affect and low levels of positive affect experienced low job satisfaction.


Resumen Introducción: Durante la pandemia de la COVID-19, las personas experimentaron repentinos cambios en sus vidas, especialmente en su dinámica laboral. En este contexto, el balance de las experiencias afectivas positivas y negativas pueden influir en la satisfacción laboral de los trabajadores. Objetivos: explorar los niveles de satisfacción laboral, en relación con los afectos positivos y afectos negativos, en un grupo de trabajadores latinoamericanos durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Método: La muestra consistió en 594 trabajadores latinoamericanos (M = 38, entre 18 y 60 años; DE = 10.47), de ambos sexos, quienes respondieron de forma online un cuestionario sociodemográfico y dos medidas psicológicas de afectos y satisfacción laboral. Como método, fue usado el análisis jerárquico de grupos de Ward y el K-medias. Resultados: Se identificaron cuatro grupos de trabajadores: Grupo 1, niveles altos de afectos positivos y afectos negativos con alta satisfacción laboral; Grupo 2, niveles bajos de afectos positivos y afectos negativos con baja satisfacción laboral; Grupo 3, altos niveles de afectos positivos y bajos niveles de afectos negativos con alta satisfacción laboral; Grupo 4, bajos niveles de afectos positivos y altos niveles de afectos negativos con baja satisfacción laboral. Conclusión: Los grupos que experimentaron altos niveles de afectos positivos presentaron una alta satisfacción laboral, mientras que los grupos con altos o bajos niveles de afectos negativos y bajos afectos positivos manifestaron una baja satisfacción laboral.

Resumen Objetivo: El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo analizar cuál es el peso relativo de la satisfacción con la vida y el bienestar psicológico en la predicción del florecimiento de los adolescentes, evaluando a su vez el perfil de florecimiento en función del grado de satisfacción con la vida y de los niveles de cada uno de los aspectos del bienestar. Metodología: A partir de un muestreo no probabilístico participaron 421 adolescentes argentinos (Medad = 14,9; DE = 1,75), quienes respondieron la Escala Perfil PERMA (Waigel & Lemos, 2023), la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff (Meier & Oros, 2019) y la Escala de Satisfacción con la vida (Castro Solano, 2000). Los datos se analizaron mediante análisis de regresión jerárquica y análisis multivariados de variancia (MANOVAs). Resultados: Los hallazgos indican que tanto la satisfacción con la vida como el bienestar psicológico predicen significativamente el florecimiento de los adolescentes. El modelo explica un 65,5 % de la variancia, destacándose el peso predictivo de los aspectos hedónicos. Además, existen diferencias en el perfil general de florecimiento en función del nivel de satisfacción con la vida y de algunas de las dimensiones del bienestar psicológico. Conclusión: Se destaca la importancia de diseñar intervenciones que contemplen los predictores con mayor incidencia sobre la prosperidad durante la adolescencia. Asimismo, se sugiere profundizar en el estudio de los precursores del florecimiento para consolidar la ciencia del florecimiento.


Abstract Introduction: The aim of this study was to assess the relative weight of life satisfaction and psychological well-being in predicting the flourishing of adolescents, evaluating in turn the profile of flourishing based on the degree of satisfaction with life and the levels of each of the aspects of well-being. Methodology: From a non-probabilistic sampling, 421 Argentine adolescents participated (Mage = 14,9; SD = 1,75), who answered the PERMA Profile Scale (Waigel & Lemos, 2023), Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale (Meier & Oros, 2019) and the Life Satisfaction Scale (Castro Solano, 2000). Data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVAs). Results: The findings indicate that both life satisfaction and psychological well-being significantly predict adolescent flourishing. The proposed model explains 65,5 % of the variance, highlighting the predictive weight of hedonic aspects. Furthermore, there are differences in the general profile of flourishing depending on the level of satisfaction with life and some of the dimensions of psychological well-being. Conclusion: The importance of designing interventions that consider the predictors with the greatest impact on prosperity during adolescence is highlighted. Likewise, it is suggested to deepen the study of the precursors of flourishing to consolidate the science of flourishing.

RESUMEN Introducción: Diversos autores mencionan que una correcta planificación de una dentadura parcial removible incrementa la satisfacción de los pacientes, en cuanto a estética y función. En casos donde la estética es prioritaria, se plantea un diseño sin retenedores visibles. En estos casos, la elaboración de la dentadura no demanda mayores costos, basta con establecer el diagnóstico correspondiente valorando los pilares, eje de inserción, áreas retentivas entre otros y establecer el diseño más conveniente según sea el caso. Objetivo: El objetivo fue realizar una revisión sistematizada sobre la percepción de la calidad de vida y satisfacción en pacientes portadores de dentaduras parciales removibles. Materiales y métodos: Se incluyeron 13 artículos científicos mediante la metodología PRISMA para la identificación, revisión e inclusión de los textos que formaron parte del estudio. Se seleccionaron tomando en cuenta el título, resumen y objetivo. Fueron considerados: revisiones sistemáticas, metaanálisis, estudios comparativos y revisiones de literatura que evaluaran diferentes criterios acerca de la satisfacción en pacientes portadores de dentadura parcial removible. Los artículos fueron leídos íntegramente, se analizaron objetivos, metodología y conclusión de cada uno de ellos, y posteriormente fueron analizados. Resultados: La queja más común fue el resultado estético, seguida del dolor durante la masticación. Se recomienda ofrecer un control periódico de la prótesis parcial removible para evaluar el correcto funcionamiento y ajuste de esta. Conclusión: El éxito del tratamiento con dentaduras parciales removibles se puede optimizar mediante el diagnóstico preciso del caso, considerando experiencias previas del paciente y teniendo en cuenta sus expectativas. Asimismo, comprender ciertos factores como su estilo de vida, nivel socioeconómico, estado de salud periodontal, personalidad, puede disminuir el riesgo de fracaso futuro del tratamiento con dentaduras parciales removibles.

In addition, this elaboration does not demand higher costs, if the practitioner reaches the corresponding diagnosis and establishes the most convenient design for each specific case. Objective: The objective was to carry out a systematic review on the perception of quality of life and satisfaction in patients with removable partial dentures. Materials and methods: Thirteen scientific articles were included using the PRISMA methodology for the identification, review and inclusion of the texts that were part of this study. The articles were selected considering the title, abstract and objective. Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, comparative studies, and literature reviews that included criteria about satisfaction in patients with removable partial dentures where evaluated. The articles were read in their entirety: the objectives, methodology and conclusions of each one of them were analyzed. Results: The most common complaint was the aesthetic result, followed by pain during chewing. It is recommended to offer periodic control of the removable partial denture to evaluate its correct functioning and fit. Conclusion: The success of the treatment with removable partial dentures can be evaluated through the precise diagnosis of the case, considering previous experiences and taking into account the expectations of the patient. Also, understanding the patient's lifestyle, socioeconomic level, periodontal health status, and personality, may be factors that allow the practitioner to reduce the risk of future failure for the treatment with removable partial dentures.

Objetivo: Analizar la percepción de la imagen corporal y su impacto en la función sexual orgásmica en mujeres estudiantes de la educación superior de Chillán, 2021. Métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, analítico, de corte transversal. Se evaluaron cuatro variables: datos demográficos, imagen corporal, orgasmo y función sexual. Se utilizó un Google Formulario a mujeres estudiantes entre 18 y 44 años de edad, de la educación superior en la ciudad de Chillán. Posterior a ello, los datos obtenidos se recopilaron y tabularon en el programa estadísticos SPSS 23. Resultados: Las dimensiones del índice de función sexual femenino alteradas con mayor frecuencia fueron: satisfacción (80,6 %), excitación (73,8 %) y orgasmo (51,5 %). El 99,0 % de las encuestadas presentaron disfunción sexual. Con respecto a la relación entre la dimensión de excitación y la pobre imagen corporal producida por el propio cuerpo (p = 0,019 r = -0,223) presentó correlación estadísticamente significativa, no así entre los puntajes totales de ambos instrumentos (p = 0,34; r = 0,09). Finalmente, las correlaciones entre la dimensión de dolor al momento de tener relaciones sexuales y la autodesvalorización por la apariencia física correlacionaron positivamente (p = 0,049; r = 0,196). Conclusión: Se observó alterado el orgasmo por la percepción de cómo se sienten con su propio cuerpo las encuestadas, lo que crearía una imagen corporal negativa llevando a una insatisfacción corporal(AU)


Objective: Analyze the perception of body image and its impact on orgasmic sexual function in female higher education students in Chillán, 2021. Methods: Quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional study. Four variables were evaluated: demographic data, body image, orgasm and sexual function. A Google Form was used for female students between 18 and 44 years of age, from higher education in the city of Chillán. Subsequently, the data obtained were compiled and tabulated in the statistical program SPSS 23. Results: The most frequently altered dimensions of the female sexual function index were: satisfaction (80.6%), arousal (73.8%), and orgasm (51.5%). 99.0% of the respondents had sexual dysfunction. Regarding the relationship between the arousal dimension and the poor body image produced by one's own body (p = 0.019; r = -0.223), there was a statistically significant correlation, but not between the total scores of both instruments (p = 0.34; r = 0.09). Finally, the correlations between the dimension of pain at the time of sexual intercourse and self-depreciation due to physical appearance were positively correlated (p = 0.049; r = 0.196). Conclusion: The orgasm was observed to be altered by the perception of how the respondents felt about their own body, which would create a negative body image leading to body dissatisfaction(AU)

Introducción: La malnutrición es una complicación hospitalaria asociada a mayor morbimortalidad, modi- ficable al mejorar la ingesta nutricional. Para esto es fundamental conocer la satisfacción del paciente sobre la alimentación intrahospitalaria. Actualmente, no existe una herramienta validada y adaptada a población chilena para evaluar dicha esfera. Objetivo: elaborar una adaptación transcultural del cuestionario validado ACHFPSQ, que ha demostrado ser capaz de identificar aspectos a mejorar en calidad y planificación de la alimentación intrahospitalaria y aplicar medidas correctivas a partir de sus observaciones con un impacto positivo en el servicio de alimentación. Materiales y métodos: La metodología de este proceso, aplicada en un foro interno entre los autores, se basó en una serie de traducciones desde el idioma original e inversas al español de Chile que fueron unificadas en un instrumento consenso con el cual se realizó una prueba piloto en 30 pacientes. Tras dicha prueba, se recogieron las sugerencias de los encuestados para aplicar modificaciones y un control de calidad de adaptaciones transculturales para definir la versión final del instrumento. Resultados: el foro de autores evaluó positivamente las traducciones, debiendo realizar una sola modificación aclarativa al instrumento. En la prueba piloto, un 93% requirió asistencia para completar la encuesta. Solo dos encuestados hicieron sugerencias, sin impacto en el instrumento final. Discusión y conclusión: el cuestionario se convierte en una nueva herramienta disponible para evaluar estándares de calidad de servicio y otros indicadores nutricionales, permitiendo objetivar el impacto de posibles cambios en los servicios de alimentación.


Introduction: Malnutrition is an inpatient complication associated with increased morbidity and mortality, modifiable by improving nutritional intake. For this, it is essential to know the patient's satisfaction regarding intra-hospital feeding. Currently there is no validated and adapted tool for the Chilean population to evaluate this area. Aim: to develop a cross-cultural adaptation of the validated ACHFPSQ questionnaire, which has shown to be capable of identifying aspects to improve in the quality and planning of intrahospital feeding and applying corrective measures based on its observations with a positive impact on the food service. Materials and methods: The methodology of this process, applied in an internal forum between the authors, was based on a series of translations from the original language and reverse into Chilean Spanish that were unified in a consensus instrument with which a pilot test was carried out in 30 patients. After this test, the respondents' suggestions were collected to apply modifications and a quality control for cross-cultural adaptations to define the final version of the instrument. Results: the authors' forum evaluated the translations positively, having to apply a single explanatory modification to the instrument. In the pilot test, 93% required assistance to complete the survey. Only two respondents made suggestions, with no impact on the final instrument. Discussion and conclusion: the questionnaire becomes a new tool available to evaluate service quality standards and other nutritional indicators, allowing to objectify the impact of possible changes in food services.

Resumen La pandemia generó diversas consecuencias entre la población, el presente estudio buscó conocer si los factores actitudinales frente al Covid-19 son predictores de la regulación emocional y la satisfacción con la vida. El diseño empleado corresponde al predictivo transversal, debido a que se planteó un análisis de regresión multivariante, planteándose la predicción sobre las variables dependientes. La muestra evaluada fue de 387 pobladores de Trujillo mayores de 18 años, quienes fueron seleccionados en base a un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, quienes respondieron a la escala de actitudes hacia la Covid-19 y a los cuestionarios de regulación emocional y satisfacción con la vida. Los resultados reflejan que el factor emotivo-afectivo predice la regulación emocional y el cognitivo creencias la satisfacción con la vida.


Abstract The pandemic generated diverse consequences among the population, the present study sought to determine whether attitudinal factors in relation to Covid-19 are predictors of emotional regulation and life satisfaction. The design used corresponds to the cross-sectional predictive design, because a multivariate regression analysis was proposed, with prediction of the dependent variables. The sample evaluated was 387 inhabitants of Trujillo over 18 years of age, who were selected on the basis of a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience, who responded to the scale of attitudes towards Covid-19 and to the emotional regulation and life satisfaction questionnaires. The results show that the emotional-affective factor predicts emotional regulation and the cognitive factor predicts life satisfaction.
