RESUMO
In this paper, we report the isolation of bovine herpesvirus typo 1 in cases of vulvovaginitis in animals from Pinhal Grande, Rio Grande do Sol state, Brazil. Animals presented vulvar lesions, repeated-breeding and infertility. Virus could be isolated in cell cultures and was identified by the fluorescent antibody technique and electron microscopy.
Neste trabalho, relata-se o isolamento do herpesvírus bovino tipo 1 de um caso de vulvovaginite em animais do município de Pinhal Grande, RS. Os animais apresentavam tesões vulvares, história de repetição de cio e infertilidade. O vírus foi isolado em cultivo celular o identificado através do imunofluorescência direta e microscopia eletrônica.
