RESUMO

The 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine-H2O2 (TMB-H2O2) platform has gained widespread use for rapid detection of various analytes in foods. However, the existing TMB-H2O2 platforms suffer from limited accuracy, as their signal output is confined to the visible region, which is prone to interference from various food colorants in real samples. To address this challenge, a novel Au@Os-mediated TMB-H2O2 platform is developed for both rapid and accurate detection of analytes in foods. The prepared Au@Os NPs exhibit remarkable peroxidase-like activity, making the platform display dual absorption peaks in visible and near-infrared (NIR) regions, respectively. This Au@Os-mediated TMB-H2O2 platform exhibited three linear ranges across different concentrations of ziram from 1-100, 150-600, and 800-2000 nM with limit of detection (LOD) 7.9 nM and limit of quantification (LOQ) 24.15 nM respectively. Further, the Au@Os-mediated TMB-H2O2 platform was also used for rapid and accurate detection of ziram in real food samples like apple, tomato, and black tea.

RESUMO

Lake Baiyangdian is one of China's largest macrophyte - derived lakes, facing severe challenges related to water quality maintenance and eutrophication prevention. Dissolved organic matter (DOM) was a huge carbon pool and its abundance, property, and transformation played important roles in the biogeochemical cycle and energy flow in lake ecosystems. In this study, Lake Baiyangdian was divided into four distinct areas: Unartificial Area (UA), Village Area (VA), Tourism Area (TA), and Breeding Area (BA). We examined the diversity of DOM properties and sources across these functional areas. Our findings reveal that DOM in this lake is predominantly composed of protein - like substances, as determined by excitation - emission matrix and parallel factor analysis (EEM - PARAFAC). Notably, the exogenous tyrosine-like component C1 showed a stronger presence in VA and BA compared to UA and TA. Ultrahigh - resolution mass spectrometry (FT - ICR MS) unveiled a similar DOM molecular composition pattern across different functional areas due to the high relative abundances of lignan compounds, suggesting that macrophytes significantly influence the material structure of DOM. DOM properties exhibited specific associations with water quality indicators in various functional areas, as indicated by the Mantel test. The connections between DOM properties and NO3N and NH3N were more pronounced in VA and BA than in UA and TA. Our results underscore the viability of using DOM as an indicator for more precise and scientific water quality management.

RESUMO

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an industrial pollutant that can cause immune impairment. Selenium acts as an antioxidant, as selenium deficiency often accompanies oxidative stress, resulting in organ damage. This study is the first to demonstrate that BPA and/or selenium deficiency induce pyroptosis and ferroptosis-mediated thymic injury in chicken and chicken lymphoma cell (MDCC-MSB-1) via oxidative stress-induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. We established a broiler chicken model of BPA and/or selenium deficiency exposure and collected thymus samples as research subjects after 42 days. The results demonstrated that BPA or selenium deficiency led to a decrease in antioxidant enzyme activities (T-AOC, CAT, and GSH-Px), accumulation of peroxides (H2O2 and MDA), significant upregulation of ER stress-related markers (GRP78, IER 1, PERK, EIF-2α, ATF4, and CHOP), a significant increase in iron ion levels, significant upregulation of pyroptosis-related gene (NLRP3, ASC, Caspase1, GSDMD, IL-18 and IL-1ß), significantly increase ferroptosis-related genes (TFRC, COX2) and downregulate GPX4, HO-1, FTH, NADPH. In vitro experiments conducted in MDCC-MSB-1 cells confirmed the results, demonstrating that the addition of antioxidant (NAC), ER stress inhibitor (TUDCA) and pyroptosis inhibitor (Vx765) alleviated oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress, pyroptosis, and ferroptosis. Overall, this study concludes that the combined effects of oxidative stress and ER stress mediate pyroptosis and ferroptosis in chicken thymus induced by BPA exposure and selenium deficiency.

RESUMO

This study conducts an in-depth assessment of the spatial distribution, ecological risks, and correlations among 12 antibiotics, antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), and dominant microorganisms in a representative river-estuary system, classified by land use and hydrodynamic conditions. Sulfonamides and quinolones were identified as the major contaminants in surface waters, with aquaculture and healthcare wastewater responsible for over 80 % of the antibiotic load. Contrasting seasonal patterns were observed between freshwater (wet season: 215 ng/L, dry season: 99.9 ng/L) and tidal estuaries (wet season: 45.9 ng/L, dry season: 121 ng/L), attributed to antibiotic transport from terrestrial sources or coastal aquaculture areas. The estimated annual antibiotic influx into Jiaozhou Bay was 70.4 kg/year, posing a considerable threat to aquatic algae and disrupting the stability of aquatic food chain. BugBase predictions suggested that antibiotics in the environment suppressed bacteria characterized by biofilm formation (FB) and the presence of mobile elements (CME). However, ARG transmission was likely to drive the spread of CME, FB, and stress-tolerant (OST) bacteria within microbial communities. The significant positive correlations observed between sulfamethoxazole and 63 microbial genera indicate a broad distribution of microbial resistance, which exacerbates the potential for ARG accumulation and dissemination across both the bay and the Yellow Sea.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Dorsal approach is the potentially effective strategy for minimally invasive liver resection. This study aimed to compare the outcomes between robot-assisted and laparoscopic hemihepatectomy through dorsal approach. METHODS: We compared the patients who underwent robot-assisted hemihepatectomy (Rob-HH) and who had laparoscopic hemihepatectomy (Lap-HH) through dorsal approach between January 2020 and December 2022. A 1:1 propensity score-matching (PSM) analysis was performed to minimize bias and confounding factors. RESULTS: Ninety-six patients were included, 41 with Rob-HH and 55 with Lap-HH. Among them, 58 underwent left hemihepatectomy (LHH) and 38 underwent right hemihepatectomy (RHH). Compared with Lap-HH group, patients with Rob-HH had less estimated blood loss (median: 100.0 vs. 300.0 mL, P = 0.016), lower blood transfusion rates (4.9% vs. 29.1%, P= 0.003) and postoperative complication rates (26.8% vs. 54.5%, P = 0.016). These significant differences consistently existed after PSM and in the LHH subgroups. Furthermore, robot-assisted LHH was associated with decreased Pringle duration (45 vs. 60 min, P = 0.047). RHH subgroup analysis showed that compared with Lap-RHH, Rob-RHH was associated with less estimated blood loss (200 vs. 400 mL, P = 0.013). No significant differences were found in other perioperative outcomes among pre- and post-PSM cohorts, such as Pringle duration, operative time, and hospital stay. CONCLUSIONS: The dorsal approach was a safe and feasible strategy for hemi-hepatectomy with favorable outcomes under robot-assisted system in reducing intraoperative blood loss, transfusion, and postoperative complications.

RESUMO

Background and Objectives: Symptom-based subtyping for functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) has limited value in identifying underlying mechanisms and guiding therapeutic strategies. Small intestinal dysbiosis is implicated in the development of FGIDs. We tested if machine learning (ML) algorithms utilizing both gastrointestinal (GI) symptom characteristics and lactulose breath tests could provide distinct clusters. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective cohort study. We performed lactulose hydrogen methane breath tests and hydrogen sulfide breath tests in 508 patients with GI symptoms. An unsupervised ML algorithm was used to categorize subjects by integrating GI symptoms and breath gas characteristics. Generalized Estimating Equation (GEE) models were used to examine the longitudinal associations between cluster patterns and breath gas time profiles. An ML-based prediction model for identifying excessive gas production in FGIDs patients was developed and internal validation was performed. Results: FGIDs were confirmed in 300 patients. K-means clustering identified 4 distinct clusters. Cluster 2, 3, and 4 showed enrichments for abdominal distention and diarrhea with a high proportion of excessive gas production, whereas Cluster 1 was characterized by moderate lower abdominal discomforts with the most psychological complaints and the lowest proportion of excessive gas production. GEE models showed that breath gas concentrations varied among different clusters over time. We further sought to develop an ML-based prediction model to determine excessive gas production. The model exhibited good predictive capabilities. Conclusion: ML-based phenogroups and prediction model approaches could provide distinct FGIDs subsets and efficiently determine FGIDs subsets with greater gas production, thereby facilitating clinical decision-making and guiding treatment.

RESUMO

AIM: To compare the effects of iGlarLixi versus insulin glargine 100 U/mL (iGlar) on residual hyperglycaemia in Chinese people with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (T2D) on prior basal insulin (BI) therapy ± oral antidiabetic drugs in the LixiLan-L-CN study (NCT03798080). MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this post hoc analysis, residual hyperglycaemia (i.e. HbA1c ≥ 7.0% [≥ 53 mmol/mol] and fasting plasma glucose [FPG] < 7.0 mmol/L) were assessed over 30 weeks. Outcomes were assessed at week 30 in participants with baseline residual hyperglycaemia, including changes from baseline in HbA1c, FPG, 2-hour postprandial glucose (PPG) and daily BI dose, the proportion of participants with HbA1c less than 7.0% (< 53 mmol/mol) and FPG less than 7.0 mmol/L and the incidence of hypoglycaemia. RESULTS: Of 421 participants, 124 (29.5%) had baseline residual hyperglycaemia (iGlarLixi, n = 64 [31.7%]; iGlar, n = 60 [29.1%]). At week 30, the residual hyperglycaemia rate decreased to 7.0% with iGlarLixi and increased to 43.3% with iGlar. Among participants with baseline residual hyperglycaemia, a greater proportion achieved both HbA1c and FPG targets at week 30 with iGlarLixi versus iGlar (43.8% vs. 16.7%), and iGlarLixi provided greater reductions in HbA1c (least squares mean [LSM] difference, -0.9% [-9.4 mmol/mol]) and 2-hour PPG (LSM difference, -4.7 mmol/L; both P < .001). Daily BI dose and incidence of hypoglycaemia were similar in the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this post hoc analysis suggest that iGlarLixi had greater benefits than iGlar in reducing the rate of residual hyperglycaemia over 30 weeks in Chinese people with suboptimally controlled T2D on prior BI-based therapy.

RESUMO

Obesity has become a prominent public health concern worldwide and is associated with adverse cognitive function. Exercise, particularly aerobic exercise, is known to benefit for weight loss and cognitive function. However, whether acute aerobic exercise could yield benefits to obese individuals and the precise brain mechanisms of action remain poorly understood. The study aimed to investigate whether acute aerobic exercise could improve inhibitory control among obese individuals and what neuroelectric mechanisms are implicated. A 3 (session: control, low-intensity exercise, moderate-intensity exercise) × 2 (congruency: congruent, incongruent) within-subject design was conducted. 18 obese young male adults underwent three sessions of 30-min interventions in a counterbalanced order seperated by five days: moderate-intensity aerobic exercise (MIE), low-intensity aerobic exercise (LIE) and a control session (a sedentary period of seated rest). The Flanker task and EEG recordings (N2 and P3 amplitude) were investigated following exercise and the control treatment. Results showed that the N2 amplitude following MIE was larger than the control session, whereas a larger N2 and reduced congruent P3 amplitude was observed following MIE than LIE. However, no main effect of the session was found for reaction time and accuracy, but a significant main effect of congruency was observed. These findings suggest acute moderate-intensity aerobic exercise may modulate brain activity through enhanced recruitment of attentional resources for cognitive control and conflict monitoring in adults with obesity.

RESUMO

The development of electrocatalysts with low cost, high efficiency, and long-term durability is crucial for advancing green hydrogen production. Transition metal phosphides (TMPs) have been proved to be efficient electrocatalyst, while the improvement in the performance and durability of the TMPs remains a big challenge. Employing atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (APCVD) and phosphorization, FeP/Ti electrodes are fabricated featuring controllable oxygen ingredients (O-FeP/Ti). This manipulation of oxygen content fine-tunes the electronic structure of the catalyst, resulting in improved surface reaction kinetics and catalytic activity. The optimized O-FeP-400/Ti exhibits outstanding HER activity with overpotentials of 142 and 159 mV at -10 mA cm-2 in 0.5 M H2SO4 and 1 M KOH, respectively. Notably, the obtained O-FeP/Ti cathode also displays remarkable durability of up to 200 h in acidic electrolyte with surface topography remaining intact. For the first time, the low-valence titanium oxide (Ti3O) interlayer is identified in the composite electrode and ascribed for the superior connection between Ti substrate and the surface O-FeP catalyst, as supported by experimental results and density functional theory (DFT) analysis. This work has expanded the potential applications of transition metal phosphides (TMPs) as a cost-effective, highly efficient and durable catalyst for water splitting.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Cirrhosis is one of the most common clinical diseases in the world. The patient with cirrhosis has many complications, such as spontaneous peritonitis, hepatic encephalopathy. Malnutrition is one of the most common complications in patients with cirrhosis, and it is also a key factor affecting the prognosis of patients. However, the research on cirrhosis malnutrition is relatively scarce. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the new factors of the liver cirrhosis with the nutritional status. METHODS: A total of 370 patients with liver cirrhosis were admitted to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from January 2019 to January 2023 were selected. Patients were assigned to the malnourished group and normal group. The weight, height, mid arm circumference (MAC) and triceps skinfold thickness (TSF) of the two groups were measured. Body mass index (BMI) and mid-arm muscle circumference (MAMC) were calculated. Furthermore, the Health Literacy Management Scale (HeLMS), biochemical indexes, incidence of complications, disease grade were also counted and the Royal Free Hospital-Nutrition Prioritization Tool were used to evaluate the nutritional status of the patient. RESULTS: A total of 370 patients was included in this study, including 177 malnutrition patients, accounting for 45.29%, and the scores and total scores of the patients in the malnutrition group were lower than those in the normal group. The measured values of Na+, Alb, PA, T-Bil, TC, TLC, Hb, and RBC were all lower than those of the normal group, and the difference was statistically significant. The overall complication rate of the patients in the malnourished group was 89.61%, and that of the normal group was 39.78%. Multifactorial logistic regression analysis was performed with nutritional level as the dependent variable (normal = 0, malnutrition = 1), and the above indicators of variability (Na+, Alb, PA, T-Bil, TC, PT, Hb, RBC, HG, and HeLMS scores) as the independent variables. The results showed that Na+, Hb were the influencing factors of nutritional level (P< 0.05). CONCLUSION: The incidence of malnutrition in cirrhotic patients included in this study was at a moderate level, and the nutritional literacy of these patients was low. In addition, the level of serum sodium, Hemoglobin can affect the nutritional level of patients with cirrhosis.

RESUMO

Introduction: Leritrelvir (RAY1216) acts as a main protease inhibitor that hinders the cleavage of viral precursor proteins, thereby inhibiting virus replication of SARS-CoV-2). This antiviral mechanism has shown significant efficacy against the novel coronavirus. Preclinical studies have demonstrated the potent antiviral activity and favorable safety profile of this compound. This study aims to develop a pharmacokinetic model for leritrelvir, with and without ritonavir as a pharmacokinetic enhancer and to evaluate the necessity of co-administration with ritonavir and to investigate different dosage regimens. Method: The model establishment was based on plasma concentration data from a phase I trial involving 72 subjects in single-ascending dose (SAD), multiple-ascending dose (MAD), and a food effect cohort. Analysis was conducted using a nonlinear mixed-effects model, and clinical trial simulations were carried out. Results: The findings of this study demonstrate a favorable safety profile for leritrelvir. With simulation suggests that a 400 mg thrice-daily (TID) regimen may be optimal to maintain the trough concentrations (Ctrough) above levels required for inhibiiting viral replication. While ritonavir was found to enhance exposure, it was deemed unnecessary. Gender and food consumption were identified as significant covariates affecting pharmacokinetic parameters, however, no dose adjustments were deemed necessary. Discussion: This findings supported by subsequent phase II and phase III trials validated the appropriateness of a 400 mg TID regimen for the administration of leritrelvir.

RESUMO

Understanding the atomic structures and dynamic evolution of uranium oxides is crucial for the reliable operation of fission reactors. Among them, U4O9-as an important intermediate in the oxidation of UO2 to UO2+x -plays an important role in the nucleation and conversion of uranium oxides. Herein, we realize the confined assembly of uranyl within SWCNTs in liquid phase and reveal the directional growth and reconstruction of U4O9 nanorods in nanochannels, enabled by in situ scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) e-beam stimulation. The nucleation and crystallization of U4O9 nanorods in nanochannels obey the "non-classical nucleation" mechanism and exhibit remarkably higher growth rate compared to those grown outside. The rapid growth process is found to be accompanied by the formation and elimination of U atom vacancies and strain, aiming to achieve the minimum interfacial energy. Eventually, the segments of U4O9 nanorods in SWCNTs merge into single-crystal U4O9 nanorods via structural reconstruction at the interfaces, and 79% of them exhibit anisotropic growth along the specific 〈11̄0〉 direction. These findings pave the way for tailoring the atomic structures and interfaces of uranium oxides during the synthesis process to help improve the mechanical properties and stability of fission reactors.

RESUMO

As the first identified multidrug efflux pump in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), EfpA is an essential protein and promising drug target. However, the functional and inhibitory mechanisms of EfpA are poorly understood. Here we report cryo-EM structures of EfpA in outward-open conformation, either bound to three endogenous lipids or the inhibitor BRD-8000.3. Three lipids inside EfpA span from the inner leaflet to the outer leaflet of the membrane. BRD-8000.3 occupies one lipid site at the level of inner membrane leaflet, competitively inhibiting lipid binding. EfpA resembles the related lysophospholipid transporter MFSD2A in both overall structure and lipid binding sites and may function as a lipid flippase. Combining AlphaFold-predicted EfpA structure, which is inward-open, we propose a complete conformational transition cycle for EfpA. Together, our results provide a structural and mechanistic foundation to comprehend EfpA function and develop EfpA-targeting anti-TB drugs.

RESUMO

Chelidonii herba is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb with effects including antispasmodic, analgesic, antitussive, and bronchodilator properties. Alkaloids are the main bioactive ingredients in Chelidonii herba. In this study, a two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (Heteronuclear Singular Quantum Correlation, HSQC-2D-NMR) technique was employed to quantitatively analyze the total alkaloid content and three major active alkaloid monomers in Chelidonii herba from eleven different sources. The quantification results of the three monomeric alkaloids were also verified using conventional quantitative control methods such as HPLC. Experimental findings indicate that the total alkaloid content is not directly correlated with the content of the three monomeric alkaloids. Furthermore, the content of any individual monomeric alkaloid does not accurately reflect the overall quality of Chelidonii herba. It was demonstrated that the 2D-Q-NMR NMR can be applied as an alternative method. While maintaining the same levels of accuracy and precision, the 2D-Q-NMR method is simpler to operate and provides more comprehensive results with higher reproducibility in some cases.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Stress may lead to allostatic overload. Well-being therapy (WBT) might mitigate it by enhancing psychological well-being and protecting from psychological symptoms. Since no reports are available on the use of WBT in allostatic overload, we evaluated online WBT effects in reducing allostatic overload in medical workers during the coronavirus pandemic. METHODS: Sixty-six participants with allostatic overload were enrolled and randomly assigned to eight sessions of online WBT (n = 32) or eight sessions of an online psychoeducation program on healthy lifestyle (CON) (n = 34). The primary outcome was the prevalence rate of allostatic overload in the two groups at session 8 (T2). Secondary analyses were performed on changes in the PsychoSocial Index (PSI) and Psychological Well-Being (PWB) scales scores at the same time points. Generalized estimating equation models were employed. RESULTS: The WBT group showed a significantly lower rate of allostatic overload at T2 than the CON group (28.13% vs. 70.59%, p < 0.001); similar results were found at T1, T3, and T4 (p < 0.001). Compared to CON, WBT produced a significant decrease in psychological distress (p < 0.001) and abnormal illness behavior (p = 0.031), as well as a significant improvement in PWB autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relations with others, purpose in life, and self-acceptance (p < 0.001). CONCLUSION: Online WBT may be an effective non-pharmacological therapeutic strategy for individuals with allostatic overload. These findings need to be further validated in different clinical populations.

RESUMO

China is the world's largest producer, consumer, and exporter of synthetic nitrogen (N) fertilizer. To assess the impact of domestic demand and international exports, we quantified the life-cycle CO2eq and ammonia (NH3) emissions by tracking carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) flows from coal/gas mining through ammonia production to N fertilizer production, application, and export. In 2020, China's N fertilizer system emitted 496.04 Tg of CO2eq and 3.74 Tg of NH3, with ammonia production and N fertilizer application processes contributing 36 and 85% of the life-cycle CO2eq and NH3 emissions, respectively. As the largest importers of N fertilizer, India, Myanmar, South Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines collectively shifted 112.41 Tg of CO2eq. For every ton of N fertilizer produced and used in China, 16 t of CO2eq and 0.18 t of NH3 were emitted, compared to 9.7 t of CO2eq and 0.13 t of NH3 in Europe. By adopting currently available technologies, improving N fertilizer utilization efficiency and employing nitrification inhibitors could synergistically reduce CO2eq emissions by 20% and NH3 emissions by 75%, while energy transformation efforts would primarily reduce CO2eq emissions by 59%. The production of ammonia using green electricity or green hydrogen could significantly enhance the decarbonization of China's N fertilizer system.

RESUMO

Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) fibers are elongated single cells that rapidly accumulate cellulose during secondary cell wall (SCW) thickening, which requires cellulose synthase complex (CSC) activity. Here, we describe the CSC-interacting factor CASPARIAN STRIP MEMBRANE DOMAIN-LIKE1 (GhCASPL1), which contributes to SCW thickening by influencing CSC stability on the plasma membrane. GhCASPL1 is preferentially expressed in fiber cells during SCW biosynthesis and encodes a MARVEL domain protein. The ghcaspl1 ghcaspl2 mutant exhibited reduced plant height and produced mature fibers with fewer natural twists, lower tensile strength, and a thinner SCW compared to the wild type. Similarly, the Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) caspl1 caspl2 double mutant showed a lower cellulose content and thinner cell walls in the stem vasculature than the wild type but normal plant morphology. Introducing the cotton gene GhCASPL1 successfully restored the reduced cellulose content of the Arabidopsis caspl1 caspl2 mutant. Detergent treatments, ultracentrifugation assays, and enzymatic assays showed that the CSC in the ghcaspl1 ghcaspl2 double mutant showed reduced membrane binding and decreased enzyme activity compared to the wild type. GhCASPL1 binds strongly to phosphatidic acid (PA), which is present in much higher amounts in thickening fiber cells compared to ovules and leaves. Mutating the PA-binding site in GhCASPL1 resulted in the loss of its colocalization with GhCesA8, and it failed to localize to the plasma membrane. PA may alter membrane structure to facilitate protein-protein interactions, suggesting that GhCASPL1 and PA collaboratively stabilize the CSC. Our findings shed light on CASPL functions and the molecular machinery behind SCW biosynthesis in cotton fibers.

RESUMO

Upon chemotherapy, excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) often lead to the production of massive lipid peroxides in cancer cells and induce cell death, namely ferroptosis. The elimination of ROS is pivotal for tumor cells to escape from ferroptosis and acquire drug resistance. Nevertheless, the precise functions of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in ROS metabolism and tumor drug-resistance remain elusive. In this study, we identify LncRNA-HMG as a chemoresistance-related lncRNA in colorectal cancer (CRC) by high-throughput screening. Abnormally high expression of LncRNA-HMG predicts poorer prognosis in CRC patients. Concurrently, we found that LncRNA-HMG protects CRC cells from ferroptosis upon chemotherapy, thus enhancing drug resistance of CRC cells. LncRNA-HMG binds to p53 and facilitates MDM2-mediated degradation of p53. Decreased p53 induces upregulation of SLC7A11 and VKORC1L1, which contribute to increase the supply of reducing agents and eliminate excessive ROS. Consequently, CRC cells escape from ferroptosis and acquire chemoresistance. Importantly, inhibition of LncRNA-HMG by anti-sense oligo (ASO) dramatically sensitizes CRC cells to chemotherapy in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model. LncRNA-HMG is also a transcriptional target of ß-catenin/TCF and activated Wnt signals trigger the marked upregulation of LncRNA-HMG. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that LncRNA-HMG promotes CRC chemoresistance and might be a prognostic or therapeutic target for CRC.

RESUMO

Recent breakthroughs in medical AI have proven the effectiveness of deep learning in fetal echocardiography. However, the limited processing power of edge devices hinders real-time clinical application. We aim to pioneer the future of intelligent echocardiography equipment by enabling real-time recognition and tracking in fetal echocardiography, ultimately assisting medical professionals in their practice. Our study presents the YOLOv5s_emn (Extremely Mini Network) Series, a collection of resource-efficient algorithms for fetal echocardiography detection. Built on the YOLOv5s architecture, these models, through backbone substitution, pruning, and inference optimization, while maintaining high accuracy, the models achieve a significant reduction in size and number of parameters, amounting to only 5%-19% of YOLOv5s. Tested on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano, the YOLOv5s_emn Series demonstrated superior inference speed, being 52.8-125.0 milliseconds per frame(ms/f) faster than YOLOv5s, showcasing their potential for efficient real-time detection in embedded systems.
