RESUMO
A new troglobitic palpigrade from Southeastern Brazil is described based on nine specimens (including males, females and immatures of all stages) collected in an iron ore cave named "Mocororô". The most peculiar trait of Eukoenenia mocororo sp. nov. that readily distinguishes it from other Eukoenenia species described worldwide is the presence of fourteen pairs of setae (including the fusules) on first lobe of male genitalia. Although other palpigrades have been reported from Brazilian iron ore caves, this record is remarkable because Mocororô cave is inserted in Peixe Bravo River Valley (Northern Minas Gerais state)-a ferruginous system with dozens of caves that have been targeted for biospeleological studies only a few times. Therefore, the description of this new species, besides contributing to the conservation of Mocororô cave, constitutes an example of the high potential for discoveries in this region.

In this paper, we describe three new Eukoenenia species from specimens collected in limestone caves in the northern region of the Minas Gerais state, Brazil. These species present different degrees of adaptation to the subterranean habitat, with Eukoenenia magna sp. nov., with 6 blades on lateral organs and body ratios very close to other troglobitic species, being the most troglomorphic among them. This species is morphologically very similar to the Brazilian troglobites E. navi, E. eywa and E. neytiri. Eukoenenia lundi sp. nov. and Eukoenenia jequitai sp. nov. are probably closely related species due to their substantial morphological resemblance. These two species are closer to E. virgemdalapa among the Brazilian species described to date. We provide a table summarizing the main diagnostic characters of the three species herein described and those of the Brazilian congeners to facilitate morphological comparisons.

Although the arachnids of the order Palpigradi are very common in subterranean habitats, no species has yet been recorded from siliciclastic caves. During a survey of cave invertebrates conducted in quartizitic caves in southern Minas Gerais state (Brazil), the occurrence of a new troglobitic palpigrade was revealed. Accordingly, in this paper we describe Eukoenenia ibitipoca sp. nov. which is readily distinguished from most species of this genus by the presence of eight pairs of setae on propeltidium.

Two new species of Leptokoenenia Condé 1965 (Eukoeneniidae: Palpigradi), Leptokoenenia pelada sp. nov. and Leptokoenenia thalassophobica sp. nov., are described based on both male and female specimens collected in iron ore caves from the Brazilian Amazon. This is the first record of the genus for the Americas. Furthermore, a new combination is stated for Eukoenenia gallii based on its morphology.
