Os insetos-pragas de grãos constituem a principal causa de perda, sendo que ainfestação se inicia no campo e intensifica-se no período de armazenagem, fazendo-se necessário repensar o processo atual, modificando-se as ações dos recursoshumanos, investindo-se no aprimoramento desse componente, viabilizando a interaçãoentre o conhecimento técnico da pesquisa e a execução prática, bem comoa adoção de procedimentos de manejo integrados, valorizando os aspectos físicos,biológicos e, quando necessários, os químicos. Para isso, devem-se incrementare disponibilizar os conhecimentos sobre a biologia e ação das pragas na massade grãos, para intervenção no momento adequado, diminuindo a proliferação egarantindo a qualidade do produto com menor geração de resíduos nos mesmos Neste contexto, o objetivo desse estudo consistiu no levantamento bibliográficosobre os aspectos biológicos, físicose controle das principais pragas queinfestam os grãos armazenados. The insects plagues of grains constitutethe main cause of loss, being thatthe infestation initiates in the field andis intensified in the period of storage.Becoming necessary to rethink thecurrent process, modifying the actionsof the human resources, investing inthe improvement of this component,making possible the interaction theknowledge enters technician of theresearch and the execution practises,as well as, the adoption of integratedprocedures of handling valuing thephysical, biological and when necessaryaspects chemical aspects. For this,the knowledge on biology and action ofthe plagues in the mass of grains mustbe developed and be available, forintervention at the adjusted moment,diminishing the proliferation and guaranteeingthe product quality with lessergeneration of residues in the sameones. Of this context, the objective ofthis study consisted of a bibliographicalsurvey on the biological, physicalaspects and control of the main plaguesthat infest the stored grains.
