RESUMO
The case in discussion is that of a 38-year-old patient with a history of artralgia, anemia and a general syndrome. The physical examination revealed a tumor in the right hypochondrium and the right flank and she was admitted to the hospital due to the rapid growth of the tumor. On operating we found a horseshoe kidney and a hypernephroma in the isthmus of the kidney. Emphasis is made in performing a detailed radiological study in order to determine the best possible surgical approach.
