RESUMO
Se aplicaron las herramientas de análisis métrico a los trabajos especiales de investigación (TEI), de los cursos de posgrado de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, específicamente en las áreas de obstetricia y ginecología, pediatría y puericultura, medicina interna y cirugía general. El estudio permitió establecer la relación entre la producción intelectual y las líneas de investigación propuestas por cada curso de posgrado y la relevancia y pertinencia de las citaciones hechas en los trabajos especiales de investigación. Asimismo, permitió determinar cuáles son las sedes hospitalarias y áreas de investigación que más contribuyen al enriquecimiento de la literatura médica generada a nivel de postgrado en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Se logró determinar que los tesistas utilizan efectivamente los servicios de información de la universidad. En cada una de las áreas se logró determinar los cursos que responden a las líneas de investigación y se observan nuevos temas que pudieran generar nuevas líneas de investigación
The tools of metric analysis were applied to the Special Works of Investigation, of the courses of post degree of the Medicine Faculty Universidad Central de Venezuela, specifically in the areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Puericulture, Internal Medicine and General Surgery. The study allowed to establish the relation between the intellectual production and the propose lines of investigation by each course of post degree and the relevance of citations done in the Special Works of Investigation. Also, the analysis allowed to determine which are they the hospital seats and investigation areas that contribute more to the enrichment of medical Literature generated at post degree level in the Medicine Faculty of the Universidad Central de Venezuela. It was managed to determine that the students indeed use the information services of the university. In each one of the areas it was managed to determine the courses that respond to the lines of investigation and new subjects are observed that could generate new line of investigation
