RESUMO
In this paper the authors studied the influence of ether anesthesia on both memory and brain acetylcholine content. The results suggest that the anesthetic agent prevents the conditioned avoidance response if administered up to 5 minutes after training. The brain acetylcholine content appeared to be inversely parallel to the time elapsed between anesthetic state and sacrifice of the animals. Results suggest that probably exist a relationship between memory and brain acetylcholine content.
