RESUMO
The new genus Polyodontotrochus is described and illustrated with four new species: P. auriculatus from French Guiana, P. elevatus (type species) from Ecuador, P. extentapalaestrus from French Guiana, and P. inpa from Brazil, the genus differs from all other membracids in having the inner sides of their metathoracic trochanters developed into apposed, sclerotized studlike, flattened plates distributed throughout. Their metathoracic tibiae have cucullate setal rows II and III incomplete, row I missing. A key to all species is provided.

Diestostemma bicristata sp. nov., is described from Napo Province, Ecuador. It is unusual for the genus in lacking a visible white powdery covering, having raised, weakly reticulate veins on the forewing, a short metathoracic femur (half length of the metathoracic tibia), and is the only species with a double-crested pronotum.

The nymphs of Antillotolania Ramos and Deiroderes Ramos are described for the first time, along with the first host record for the genus Antillotolania, represented by Antillotolania myricae, sp. n. Nymphal features of both genera, such as a ventrally fused, cylindrical tergum IX (anal tube), the presence of abdominal lamellae, and heads with foliaceous ventrolateral lobes confirm their placement in Membracidae and are consistent with phylogenetic analyses placing them in Stegaspidinae but in conflict with a cladistic analysis showing a closer relationship to Nicomiinae. Head processes and emarginate forewing pads in the last instars of both genera support an earlier estimate, based on nuclear genes, that the two genera form a monophyletic group in Stegaspidinae. Distinguishing features of the four species of Antillotolania are tabulated.
