RESUMO

After the revision of the genus Holopothrips provided by Lindner et al. (2018), the specimens of Holopothrips kept in the CIRAD/CBGP collection collected in Guadeloupe were re-examined. Two species previously identified as Holopothrips tenuis and Holopothrips sp. are described here as H. brevisetus sp. n. and H. guadeloupensis sp. n. Holopothrips ananasi is here removed from the list of species reported to Guadeloupe after re-examination of labelled specimens. Information on all the species of Holopothrips found in Guadeloupe, and an identification key to the species of Holopothrips recorded from the Caribbean are provided.

RESUMO

Three new genera of Lasiopteridi (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae), Faramitella Gagné, new genus, Anapeza Gagné, new genus, and Pellacara Gagné, new genus, each with one new species, are described. The new species are from leaf galls on Rubiaceae collected in Guadeloupe, F.W.I.: Faramitella planicauda Gagné, new species, was reared from Faramea occidentalis (L.) A. Rich.; Anapeza tumida Gagné, new species, and Pellacara postica, new species, were both reared from Psychotria mapourioides DC. The three new genera belong to Lasiopteridi but are unassigned to tribe. A key to the adult stage of these and 23 other Neotropical genera of unplaced Lasiopteridi whose adults are known is provided.

RESUMO

Most reports concerning the use of streptokinase (SK) for thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (MI) have employed doses ovber 1 000 000 units. We evaluated the efficace of a dose of 500 000U in 40 patients with acute MI who received full heparin dose before, during and after SK. Thrombolytic effect, as measured by the protamine neutralized thrombin time was shown to be strong in 60% of cases, moderate in 17% and weak in 22%, and this was not modified by larger SK doses. A patent culprit artery ws demonstrated at coronary arteriography performed 3 days after SK in 90% of patients. Only one instance of severe bleeding was observed. Thus, a reduzed SK dose in association to heparine provides adequate lytic efect and artery patency rate in patients with MI
