RESUMO
The experiment was carried out at the UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP, to study the effects of N & K replacement (0 and 2% N +4% KCl), based on the dry matter (DM) removal, and harvesting intervals (42, 56, 70 and 84 days), on the DM production and forage quality of Cynodon dactylon cv. Coast cross. The drying speed at 65C in stove was also determined. The dressing fertilization replacement increased the productions of: DM, crude protein-CP and the percentages of CP in the whole plant and in the stem; the crude fiber % (CF) in the stem and the percentage of stems. The increase in plant age increased the productions (kg/ha) of DM (2647 lo 7333) and CP (411 lo 608), the percentages of CF of the whole plant (32.89 to 37.01), leaf (29.26 to 32.20) and stem (35.82 lo 39.82); neutral detergent fiber of the whole plant (72.82 to 76.61) and of the leaf (72.54 to 75.93), and the percentage of stems (49.58 to 64.55). The water loss in the drying process was not effected neither by fertilization nor by increasing plant age.
O experimento foi desenvolvido na UNESP em Jaboticabal, SP, para avaliar os efeitos da ausência e presença de adubação de reposição (0 e 2% N + 4% de KCl), com base na matéria seca (MS) removida e de 4 idades de corte (42, 56, 70 e 84 dias) sobre a produção de MS, qualidade da forragem e velocidade de secagem em estufa (65C) em Cynodon daclylon (L) Pers. cv. Coast cross. As produções de matéria seca (MS) e de proteína bruta (PB); porcentagens de PB da planta inteira e do colmo, de fibra bruta (FB) do colmo e a porcentagem de colmos na planta aumentaram com a adubação de reposição. O aumento nas idades de corte resultou em aumentos nas produções (kg/ha) de MS (2647 a 7333) e de PB (411 a 608); nas porcentagens de FB da planta inteira (32,89 a 37,01), das folhas (29,26 a 32,20) e dos colmos (35,82 a 39,82); na fibra em detergente neutro da planta inteira (72,82 a 76,61) e das folhas (72,54 a 75,93) e na porcentagem de colmos (49,58 a 64,55). A perda de água do capim coast cross, no processo de secagem em estufa, não foi afetada pela adubação de reposição nem pelas idades de corte.
