RESUMEN

Bullous pemphigoid affects people who are usually very frail, because they are very old and frequently have neurological co-morbidities. Over the past twenty years, therapeutic management has improved thanks to the application of highly potent corticosteroid-based creams, following a well-established regimen, for several months. Well-conducted nursing care is therefore essential not only to cover wounds, but also to treat the disease. Dedicated nursing time is also an opportunity to provide support to patients, who are often very uncomfortable.

RESUMEN

Considering that it's always a good idea to know where we've come from, in order to better envision where we're going, it's appropriate to look at the evolution of the relationship to care by following the thread of nurses' professional construction and the concomitant transformation of practices. Indeed, if we are to approach the discipline of nursing with serenity, we must first identify the key to its cultural heritage, which defines the way it comes into contact with illness at the patient's bedside.

RESUMEN

Peritoneal dialysis is exclusively an extrarenal purification technique performed in the patient's own home. The patient is either autonomous, or assisted by a private nurse or a member of his or her family. The nursing team at the center where the patient is being cared for organizes home visits to meet the patient and his or her family in their living environment. These visits provide an opportunity to review compliance with protocols and maintain the partnership with the patient. The team at the Caen Normandy university center for kidney disease shares its experience in this area of care.

RESUMEN

Respiratory difficulties presented by a loved one at the end of life at home can leave those around him or her unable to cope and lead to emergency hospitalizations that are not clinically justified in this context. This is why the educational role of nurses is so important. They contribute, through anticipated explanations and indications, to allow adapted attitudes likely to reduce anguish, even panic, and to make it possible to continue to live at home.

RESUMEN

The nurse is involved in the care of the person at the end of life who is sedated until death. He/she implements technical and relational nursing care that is similar to that given to a conscious person at the end of life, but everything is different because he/she accompanies the patient and his/her loved ones in a singular stage where one has the impression of doing less and being more.

RESUMEN

After winning a call for projects from the Hauts-de-France Regional Health Agency, the Anne Morgan Medical and Social Association (AMSAM) opened a new activity in January 2022 with the specialized precariousness nursing care team (Essip). The team is made up of nurses, care assistants and a psychologist, and operates in the 549 municipalities that make up the Laon - Château-Thierry - Soissons area (02). Hélène Dumas, Essip's nurse coordinator, explains how her team is organized to deal with profiles that are radically different from what the nursing world is used to.

RESUMEN

Advanced nursing practice is one of the avenues proposed by politicians to meet the new needs of people being cared for in a rapidly changing healthcare system. It is therefore interesting to conceptualize the theoretical foundations of these new practices, in order to reveal their meaning. To do this, we will discuss some of the missions of the advanced practice nurse, whose primary objective is to provide high-quality care. We will then demonstrate that the evolution of nursing care, which allows professionals to deploy their skills and gain in responsibility, is indeed at the service of the cared-for person.

RESUMEN

Being a nurse in psychiatry is not an accident. The particularity of the care and people being cared for and the autonomy of the nurse in his or her role as clinician can guide the choice to practice this profession in this environment. Similarly, the particularities of the technical care provided in psychiatry and the special place of the care teams are also arguments to explain this decision.

RESUMEN

Spiritual care or spirituality in care, spirituality of care or spiritual care. In recent years, it is impossible not to realize that this theme, which is expressed and understood in different ways, covers an increasingly vast field in the field of literature and challenges clinical settings as much as training.

RESUMEN

Therapeutic touch body care in the management of eating disorders, particularly anorexia nervosa, aims to deepen the relationship of trust and the therapeutic alliance. Nursing research and the development of clinical nursing care, with nursing diagnoses as a support, have made it possible to provide new responses adapted to the patient's needs. This reassuring helping relationship favors the work around the patient's psychic and physical perceptions. The notion of the gender of the caregiver in the body approach care is a dimension to be taken into consideration.

RESUMEN

Providing touch-massage care to children in child psychiatry is a process that requires specific learning and a certain psychological and emotional availability. In this context, clinical training in nursing provides tools and resources for the caregiver. This type of care consolidates the relationship of trust and lays the foundations of the helping relationship. The bodily approach allows to approach the awareness of the emotions and to bring appeasement.

RESUMEN

Nursing care, which is a common life-sustaining practice, has been slowly legalized through the creation of a list of purely technical procedures, which many people see as a limitation on professional practice. However, nursing care is much more than a list of procedures. Moreover, the status of medical assistants, formalized during the first half of the 20th century, slowed down the evolution of the nursing function in its desire for autonomy and left an indelible mark on it. Certain events led the legislator to designate care in a list of autonomous acts and acts under delegation.

RESUMEN

Dental care, which has long been neglected by health policies, is now an integral part of a multi-professional health system. The nurse, an essential sentinel in hospital structures, plays a key role in the patient's dental care. At the dawn of an increasingly personalized medicine, initiatives are being implemented to decompartmentalize the skills of each specialty.

RESUMEN

Sickle cell disease is a genetic and chronic disease that requires multidisciplinary care. This requires investment on the part of both the patient and the entire health care team. In most cases, the sickle cell patient is diagnosed about two months after birth. The care pathway for adults is a continuation of the work done in paediatrics. The chronic nature of the disease means that patients are regularly admitted to hospital, which has an impact on their personal and professional lives. Appropriate nursing support helps to improve their daily lives.

RESUMEN

Healthcare professionals have a role to play in reducing micropollutant emissions from healthcare products at source. A survey was conducted on the practices of homecare workers, particularly on the management of drug residues and the recovery of excreta (urine and faeces). There are obstacles, but also levers to protect biodiversity from the toxicity of healthcare waste.

RESUMEN

The care of spinal surgery patients requires the paramedical team to have precise, varied and adapted knowledge, whether it is a question of mobilization, nutrition, specific monitoring and the prevention of complications. The nurse - nursing assistant pair expresses all its know-how in the care of patients operated on a spine. Supporting the return to autonomy is a priority, especially for young patients who have undergone scoliosis surgery.

RESUMEN

In their daily practice, caregivers experience many different smells that evoke different emotions. However, the role of the sense of smell in care is poorly documented in the nursing literature. During initial training, trainers organise support, including with regard to odours, so that each future carer becomes a reflective practitioner, as adaptable as possible.

RESUMEN

Nutritional nursing care, whether prescribed or on its own role, is a fundamental aspect of the fight against undernutrition in hospital, which is a determinant of vital and functional prognosis. This care includes screening for undernutrition and its risk factors, assessment of intake and feeding difficulties, enrichment of oral nutrition, enteral and parenteral nutrition. Given the complexity and importance of these tasks, a multi-professional approach involving a transverse nutrition unit is beneficial.
