RESUMEN

To summarize the nursing experience of postoperative lung re-expansion in an elderly hemiplegic patient with a massive pulmonary tumor. The nursing interventions included the utilization of high-flow therapy with positive pressure ventilation to facilitate early alveolar re-expansion.Guided breathing exercises were implemented to enhance respiratory muscle strength and maintain alveolar expansion.Furthermore,a comprehensive approach to airway clearance techniques was employed to improve the patient's ability to expectorate sputum effectively.A stepwise nutritional care plan was implemented to reduce complications and ensure a safe transition to oral feeding.Additionally,a discharge preparation service plan was executed to ensure the provision of continuous care after hospital discharge.Through the collaborative efforts of a multidisciplinary team and diligent postoperative nursing care, the patient exhibited a favorable recovery and was discharged after a 20-day hospitalization period.

RESUMEN

Tumor thrombosis is a relatively uncommon complication of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and its diagnosis has therapeutic and prognostic implication. Computerized tomography (CT) is the primary imaging modality for staging RCC, but it has low sensitivity to differentiate between tumor thrombus and bland or benign thrombus. 18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/CT (PET/CT) has a limited role in diagnosis and staging of RCC, but its diagnostic accuracy is considerably high for detection of metabolically active tumor thrombus. We are presenting a case of metastatic left-sided RCC with massive hypermetabolic tumor thrombus extending from left kidney to left renal vein and inferior vena cava giving an interesting "Suspension Bridge" appearance on PET/CT images.

RESUMEN

In the present study, a case of unresectable massive hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated with high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) alone is reported. Although the treatment induced chest wall hernia, its efficacy in treating the HCC was demonstrated. The medical records of a patient with an unresectable massive tumor that was effectively treated with serial HIFU ablation were retrospectively studied. Chest wall hernia was detected as a complication of the HIFU treatment, which has not been reported thus far in the literature. The patient has survived for 44 months since the first diagnosis in September 2010. Treatment resulted in partial remission of the tumor, pain relief, decreased levels of alpha-fetoprotein and chest wall hernia, as a complication. Therefore, HIFU may be an effective approach for the treatment of unresectable HCC, although it may occasionally cause complications.

RESUMEN

Objective: To explore the preventive and therapeutic effects of Hsp70-antigen peptide complexes (HACs) on pulmonary metastasis of malanoma B16 cells in mice. Methods: Antigen peptide mixtures were prepared from massive tumors and metastatic foci respctively, and bound with Hsp70 in vitro. The HACs were used to mice to prevent the formation of micrometastatic foci after the injection of B16 cells through tail vein, or treat the existent micrometastatic foci in lung The number of metastatic foci was counted and the cytotoxicity of splenocytes to B16 cells was determined. Results: After immunization with HACs, the number of metastatic foci in mice decreased significantly (P
