BACKGROUND: Online resources are commonly used by patients to obtain information on breast reconstruction. Despite the key role of these resources in patient decision-making, their visual content has not yet been evaluated. This study sought to 1) characterize the presence and content of visual aids in online patient education breast reconstruction resources and 2) determine if the women represented in these visual aids reflect the breast reconstruction patient population in the United States. METHODS: The top 10 Google websites and the first 400 Google Images containing photographs/graphics depicting human skin for the search phrase "breast reconstruction" were analyzed. Images were categorized by content as "Before/After," "Surgical/Anatomical," "Step-by-Step," or "Breast-Centric Stock Images." Image subjects were classified by skin tone into "White" or "Non-White" using the Fitzpatrick scale and by body type into "Lean" or "Full-Figured." RESULTS: In total, 471 images were analyzed. These were predominantly "Before/After" images (43.9%), followed by "Breast-Centric Stock Images" (27.4%), "Surgical/Anatomical" (24.2%), and "Step-by-Step" (4.5%). The majority of all images depicted "White" skin types (90.7%) and "Lean" body types (73.0%). "Before/After" images were more likely to show "Full-Figured" women than the other content categories (p < 0.0001) and had the highest percentage of "Non-White" skin types (35.3%). CONCLUSIONS: Our findings demonstrate that breast reconstruction online resources are not reflective of the patient population seeking reconstruction. Improving the diversity of online image resources can both better represent our diverse patient population as well as better align patient expectations with postoperative outcomes, likely improving patient satisfaction.

BACKGROUND: Tobacco cessation intervention has a positive impact on quality of care. For health professionals, limited competency in this area may be associated with poor training during their academic programs. There is a clear need to further develop and implement training programs to improve tobacco cessation knowledge, skills, and attitudes among healthcare students. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of the innovative online training program "Brief Intervention in Smoking Cessation" for healthcare students to improve their knowledge, skills, and attitudes. DESIGN: A pre-post evaluation study with a satisfaction assessment tool was used. SETTING: Seven universities from four European countries, including Belgium, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom, participated. PARTICIPANTS: One thousand and seventy-two (1072) undergraduate students participated, with 851 completing the online program. METHODS: All participants completed the "Brief Intervention in Smoking Cessation" online program, which consisted of five theoretical modules, five videos, and three virtual simulation cases between January 2020 and June 2022. Knowledge was assessed by a multiple-choice test, and practical skills were assessed by a simulation algorithm, both of which were developed by education and smoking cessation experts. Competency was achieved when students successfully completed both assessments. Satisfaction was measured using an ad hoc 16-item questionnaire. Pre-post changes in knowledge were assessed using a paired Student's t-test. RESULTS: Eighty-six percent of the students achieved smoking cessation competency. Students significantly improved their knowledge score on a scale of 0 to 10 points, with a mean pre-program score of 3.79 vs a mean post-program score of 7.33 ([-3.7 - -3.4] p < 0.001), acquiring sufficient attitudes and skills (simulation mean of 7.4 out of 10 points). Students were highly satisfied with the program (8.2 out of 10) and recommended it to other students (8.4 out of 10). CONCLUSIONS: The "Brief Intervention in Smoking Cessation" online training program is effective for the acquisition of smoking cessation competencies among European health profession students.

Based on the implementation of the third stage of "Three-year Action Plan for Preschool Education", this research took preschool education resources of 31 provinces (cities), autonomous regions (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and municipalities in China from 2003 to 2019 as research samples. At the same time, according to the data of Educational Statistics Yearbook of China (2003-2019) and China Educational Finance Statistics Yearbook (2004-2020), this research collected the data of preschool education human resources, material resources, and financial resources. As for the data analysis, this research was based on the methodology of entropy method, repeated indicators method, and the Theil index and so on, and evaluated the state of preschool education resources allocation in China from 2003 to 2019. Simultaneously, according to the state of preschool education resources allocation, this research analyzed the spatio-temporal differences of preschool education resources allocation between various provinces and various areas, then analyzed the causes of spatio-temporal differences. After that, suggestions were put forward according to the analysis. The results show that, since the implementation of the third stage of "Three-year Action Plan for Preschool Education", the condition of preschool education resources allocation has been generally improved. However the preschool education resources allocation still presents a low-level and uneven development trend. Preschool education resources have formed a "preschool education resource advantage belt" in Beijing, Tianjin and the Yangtze River Delta; Comparing with material resources, the development of human resources in preschool education lags behind in China; In terms of each regions in China, eastern China has the most significant difference in the preschool education resources allocation, which is followed by western China, and inner China has the least significant difference; The main factor affecting the regional preschool education resources allocation difference is the inter-provincial differences in eastern China, inner China, and western China; And the main factors affecting the differences in preschool education resources in eastern, inner, and western China are respectively financial resources, human resources, and financial resources. At the same time, financial resources in eastern China and human resources in inner China tend to expand. Based on this, this study proposes methods to narrow the regional differences in preschool education resources allocation, so as to provide references for realizing preschool education equity and preschool education sustainable development.

In the face of surging online education around the globe, it seems quite necessary and helpful for learners and teachers to have the plethora of online resources well sorted out beforehand. To some extent, the efficiency and accuracy of resource search and retrieval may determine the quality and influence of online education. In this research, based on the methodological framework of design science, the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm is chosen to optimise the design of an accurate resource classifier. The aim is to improve the unsatisfactory classification effect of traditional classification methods for online education resources, so that online learners can enjoy more accurate and convenient access to education resources they are seeking out of many more. For the purpose of performance evaluation, the proposed SVM-based classifier was compared with two other classification methods based on multiple neutral networks and deep learning respectively. Upon collection and pre-processing of online materials, the features of educational resources were extracted and output in the form of feature vectors. By calculating the similarity between the extracted feature vectors and the standard vectors of the set type, we obtained the classification results of online education resources for each of the three classifiers. It was found that, compared with those of the two traditional classification methods, the precision ratio and the recall ratio of the proposed classifier improved by 3.26% and 2.01% respectively. In the meantime, the proposed SVM-based classifier seems to more advantageous in performance balance with better F measurement.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate various online resources available for radiology education. An online search was conducted using PubMed (National Library of Medicine, Bethesda, MD) and Google Scholar for publications discussing the applications of online learning in radiology. The search strategy employed a combination of the following terms: radiology, web-based conferencing, radiology education seminars, radiology education online, radiology education programs, online lectures, radiology residency, radiology degree, Radiology-Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) e-learning platform, UTAUT, Moodle, active image-based learning, Video conference platforms (VCPs), education, undergraduate, medical students, teaching, virtual learning, blended learning, e-learning, COVID-19, pandemic, OER, open education resources, online learning, course assets, accessibility, 5G Internet, game-based learning, radiology competition, and virtual world. The literature published was reviewed and consolidated. Data from the literature shows that radiology education online and radiology education seminars are undergoing a revolution due to advancements in computers, online software, and 5G Internet speed. The pace of this development has accelerated even further due to the COVID-19 pandemic and thus forced distance online education. Various technologies are available and are being implemented by residency programs across the world to improve radiology education, making it more interactive and safer in this pandemic. Online learning has become an integral part of education in radiology, with new facets being added to it.

Resumen (analítico) El objetivo de meta-etnografía es identificar elementos que influyen en la configuración de la identidad cultural de jóvenes de pueblos originarios. Sujetos y método: estudios primarios cualitativos publicados en bases Scopus, WoS y Scielo entre el 2010 y 2021 sobre la configuración identitaria de jóvenes de pueblos originarios. Procedimientos: búsqueda sistemática y metasíntesis cualitativa. Resultados: se obtuvieron 17 artículos que refieren a los siguientes aspectos involucrados en la configuración identitaria: 1) migración; 2) dinámicas de poder y discriminación; 3) tensiones epistemológicas; 4) gestión de la propia identidad; 5) conflictos identitarios; 6) resistencia y autonomía, y 7) recreación de la identidad/diásporas. La síntesis señala que los y las jóvenes portan una heterogeneidad de mundos culturales que proyectan de manera creativa e indeterminada de acuerdo a sus posibilidades y desarrollo.


Abstract (analytical) The objective of this meta-ethnographic synthesis study is to identify the elements that influence the configuration of the identities of young people belonging to indigenous communities. Subjects and Method: Qualitative primary studies on the configuration of cultural identities of young indigenous were reviewed with the criteria of articles published in Scopus, WoS and Scielo databases, between 2010 and 2021. Procedures: systematic search and qualitative meta-synthesis. Results: 17 articles were reviewed that refer to the following aspects involved in identity configuration: 1) Migration; 2) Dynamics of power and discrimination; 3) Epistemological tensions; 4) Self-identity management; 5) Identity conflicts; 6) Resistance, and 7) Recreation of identity/diasporas. The review indicates that young people carry a heterogeneity of cultural worlds that they project in a creative and indeterminate way depending on their possibilities and development.


Resumo (analítico) O objetivo deste estudo de síntese metaetnográfica é identificar os elementos que influenciam a configuração da identidade de jovens indígenas. Sujeitos e Método: Estudos primários qualitativos publicados nas bases de dados Scopus, WoS e Scielo, entre 2010 e 2021, sobre a configuração de identidades culturais em jovens indígenas. Procedimentos: busca sistemática e metassíntese qualitativa. Neurosurgeons have a rich history of involvement in medical student education. We review the scope of related published works with the goal of highlighting recently increased efforts to innovate in neurosurgical education and discuss where future efforts must go. A scoping review was performed after comprehensive search of PubMed MEDLINE and Embase databases. Among the 2314 articles returned in the search, 54 were selected for inclusion and review. Articles are discussed in the context of neurosurgery electives, American Association of Neurological Surgeons chapters and medical school programs, national neurosurgery courses, neurosurgery education materials, neurosurgery career perceptions, and the impact of coronavirus disease 2019. Despite increasing need for neurosurgical education in medical school, available experiences in formal curricula are diminishing. Longitudinal exposure to neurosurgery throughout medical school will help ensure a foundational understanding of neurosurgical disease management for all physicians and provide a pathway of exploration, education, and mentorship for the most suitable candidates. Neurosurgery faculty mentorship is particularly important to ensure that the next generation of neurologic surgeons is well equipped to treat patients, catalyze innovative research, and espouse both diverse perspectives and novel ideas.

RESUMEN La educación alimentaria nutricional es la combinación de estrategias educativas, acompañadas de apoyos ambientales, diseñadas para facilitar la adopción voluntaria de elecciones alimentarias que conducen a un estado óptimo de salud y bienestar. La educación alimentaria nutricional tiene tres componentes: 1) motivación, 2) acción y 3) ambiente. Para elegir la técnica de educación adecuada para cada persona, se deben considerar las características psicoemocionales individuales, especialmente las motivaciones para el cambio y el tipo de personalidad, ya que ambos han mostrado ser buenos predictores de la conducta alimentaria. Dentro de los recursos educativos posibles de utilizar para realizar la educación en alimentación nutricional se encuentran indicaciones verbales, material escrito, uso de internet, dispositivos portátiles, aplicaciones de teléfonos inteligentes, e incluso la clase de cocina. La evidencia demuestra que la educación alimentaria nutricional impacta favorablemente la adherencia a las intervenciones nutricionales, lo cual a la vez se ve reflejado en efectos positivos en la salud.


ABSTRACT Food and nutrition education is the combination of educational strategies, accompanied by environmental supports designed to facilitate voluntary adoption of food choices conducive of health and well-being. It has a motivational phase, an action phase, and an environmental component. To choose the right educational technique for each patient, their individual psychoemotional characteristics must be considered; especially what their motivations for change are, as well as their personality type, because both are good predictors of food behavior. Among the resources that can be used to perform nutrition education are verbal indications, written material, the internet, mobile devices, smartphone applications, and even the kitchen as a place for education. Evidence shows that nutrition education has a favorable impact on diet adherence in different conditions that have an important nutritional component, such as celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes and obesity, which at the same time produces positive health outcomes.

Taiwan is expected to reach super-aged status by 2026, leading to an increased demand for elderly caregiving services. Low local unemployment and a dwindling working-age population mean the island's care system relies heavily on female foreign domestic workers (FDWs) from Southeast Asian neighbors such as Vietnam to satisfy labor shortages. Although suggested by anecdotal evidence, limited research has been conducted on the link between the shortfall in FDW qualifications, training, preparedness, and expertise and their employment stressors. Therefore, this study aims to assist FDWs by evaluating their stressors and helping them better understand health care delivery by (1) administering the Modified Caregiver Strain Index (MCSI) revised 2003 questionnaire, (2) performing semi-structured in-depth one-on-one interviews, (3) classifying interview results according to thematic analysis, and (4) using these themes to devise and deliver a 12-week multilingual health education teach-back program. Our results indicate that Vietnamese FDWs face specific challenges, including language barriers, homesickness, intensive physical and psychological work demands, stress adaptation, and occupational exposures. Despite yielding no significant improvements in caregiving strain, our intervention, conducted at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, pinpoints and classifies areas of grave concern and proposes recommendations that can assist long-term care (LTC) stakeholders in understanding and overcoming their respective challenges, thereby improving the quality of elderly care.

Prompted by the sudden shift to remote instruction in March 2020 brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers explored online resources to support their students learning from home. We report on how twelve teachers identified and creatively leveraged open educational resources (OERs) and practices to facilitate self-directed science learning. Based on interviews and logged data, we illustrate how teachers' use of OER starkly differed from the typical uses of technology for transmitting information or increasing productivity. These experiences provide insights into ways teachers and professional developers can take advantage of OER to promote self-directed learning when in-person instruction resumes.

Connecting scientific concepts with clinical applications is an important objective of pharmacy education. As the field of precision oncology expands, it is critical for pharmacy students to understand how genetic information informs cancer treatment decisions. However, to effectively teach students about pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics, faculty require relevant educational resources, including those that support higher-order learning. In this Commentary, we demonstrate the potential utility of publicly accessible cancer genomics databases as teaching resources for pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics in oncology pharmacy education. Using clinical data retrieved from a genomics database, we illustrate how case studies can be developed to target core competencies, including understanding tumor genomics profiling, somatic mutations and pharmacotherapy selection, and clinical pharmacogenetics testing. Cancer genomics databases provide readily available, cost-effective, clinical data resources that support active learning related to pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics education in oncology pharmacy curricula.

The knowledge-action gap in conservation science and practice occurs when research outputs do not result in actions to protect or restore biodiversity. Among the diverse and complex reasons for this gap, three barriers are fundamental: knowledge is often unavailable to practitioners and challenging to interpret or difficult to use or both. Problems of availability, interpretability, and useability are solvable with open science practices. We considered the benefits and challenges of three open science practices for use by conservation scientists and practitioners. First, open access publishing makes the scientific literature available to all. Second, open materials (detailed methods, data, code, and software) increase the transparency and use of research findings. Third, open education resources allow conservation scientists and practitioners to acquire the skills needed to use research outputs. The long-term adoption of open science practices would help researchers and practitioners achieve conservation goals more quickly and efficiently and reduce inequities in information sharing. However, short-term costs for individual researchers (insufficient institutional incentives to engage in open science and knowledge mobilization) remain a challenge. We caution against a passive approach to sharing that simply involves making information available. We advocate a proactive stance toward transparency, communication, collaboration, and capacity building that involves seeking out and engaging with potential users to maximize the environmental and societal impact of conservation science.


Cierre de la Brecha entre el Conocimiento y la Acción en la Conservación con Ciencia Abierta 21-311 Resumen La brecha entre el conocimiento y la acción en las ciencias de la conservación y en su práctica ocurre cuando los resultados de las investigaciones no derivan en acciones para proteger o restaurar la biodiversidad. Entre las razones complejas y diversas de esta brecha, existen tres barreras que son fundamentales: con frecuencia el conocimiento no está disponible para los practicantes, es difícil de interpretar o difícil de usar, o ambas. Los problemas con la disponibilidad, interpretabilidad y utilidad son solucionables mediante las prácticas de ciencia abierta. Consideramos los beneficios y los obstáculos de tres prácticas de ciencia abierta para su uso por parte de los científicos y practicantes de la conservación. Primero, las publicaciones de acceso abierto hacen que la literatura científica esté disponible para todos. Segundo, los materiales abiertos (métodos detallados, datos, códigos y software) incrementan la transparencia y el uso de los hallazgos de las investigaciones. Tercero, los recursos educativos abiertos permiten que los científicos y practicantes de la conservación adquieran las habilidades necesarias para utilizar los productos de las investigaciones. La adopción a largo plazo de las prácticas de ciencia abierta ayudaría a los investigadores y a los practicantes a lograr los objetivos de conservación mucho más rápido y de manera eficiente y a reducir las desigualdades que existen en la divulgación de información. Objective Health education resource allocation is one of the basic indicators for evaluating health equity. At present, the research on the equity of health education resource allocation in China is mostly limited to a single year or regional data. This study was aimed to understand the equity of health education resources in the whole China from 2015-2019, and to provide a corresponding basis for further rational allocation of health education resources. Methods The data was obtained based on the number of health education training work, health education publicity work, distribution of health education publicity materials and the annual use of funds carried out mainly by the CDC or health education centers in each province according to the 2016-2020 China Health Statistics Yearbook. The inequality coefficient (Gini coefficient) and Lorenz curve were applied to study the selected data. Results The total number of health education resources in China from 2015-2019 was 1 789 735 and 1 933 336, respectively. The Gini coefficients of health education resource allocation by population distribution were all below the warning line of 0.4, which were in an equitable state. Conclusion The equity of health education resources in China is good according to demographic indicators, and there is no significant inequity. Especially, the aspects of health education services, such as technical consultation and media cooperation, are relatively good, but there is still much room for improvement in the construction of websites.

Children and adolescents with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) face significant and unique challenges related to their condition. The aim of this study was to better understand some of these challenges, and to explore how Canadian youth respond to them. We interviewed 25 pediatric patients with IBD, ranging in age from 10-17, to find out about their illness experiences. Using a thematic analysis, we discerned three themes: challenges related to diagnosis, making sense of change, and navigating sociability. Taken together, they paint a picture of young people facing great uncertainty prior to diagnosis, pronounced changes to selfhood as they make lifestyle adjustments, and facing difficulties with the implications of reduced sociability because of their disease. We conclude by providing recommendations for the development of resources aimed at helping newly diagnosed pediatric patients navigate these issues.

Students often find neuroanatomy a daunting exercise of rote memorization in a dead language. This workshop was designed to enliven the teaching of neuroanatomy. We recast the topic by extending it to the cellular and sub-cellular levels, animating it by learning to build a brain, and infusing the topic with the lively arts. Due to COVID's interference with the usual schedule of Society for Neuroscience (SfN) events, the 2021 Professional Development Workshop on Teaching was held as a webinar on April 12, 2022 with a follow-up question and answer session on June 7. In this workshop, not only were innovative teaching methods presented, but also the very definition of neuroanatomy was pushed to the limits-even reaching into the molecular and subcellular level. The presenters provided means of engaging students that were no cost, low cost, or well within the reach of most academic institutions. Judging by the attendance, this webinar was quite successful in its goals. Our speakers presented exciting and varied approaches to teaching neuroanatomy. Kaitlyn Casimo presented how the vast resources of the Allen Institute could be employed. Marc Nahmani described how open data resources could be utilized in creating a Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) on neural microanatomy. Erika Fanselow presented novel ways to overcome one of students' big hurdles in grasping neuroanatomy: understanding 3-D relationships. Len White described a creative approach in teaching neuroanatomy by incorporating the humanities, particularly art and literature. This article presents synopses of the presentations, which are written by the four presenters. Additionally, prompted by questions from the viewers, we have constructed a table of our favorite resources. RESUMEN

The Rutgers University (RU) Open and Affordable Textbooks (OAT) Program provides $1,000 incentive awards to faculty who commit to redesigning or developing a course to use open or affordable course materials. This can include replacing a traditional textbook with open educational resources (OER), library-licensed materials, course reserves, self-developed materials, or a combination of these. It is a university-wide initiative, but this paper will focus on the impact on students in the health science programs. In many cases Health Sciences faculty went beyond using open educational resources by developing their own and making them freely available to their students and others. As of 2020 it is estimated students in the health sciences have saved $285,218 through the use of open materials and sustainable course design.

Research shows that schools can make a positive impact on children's nutritional outcomes. However, it is also reported that schools and teaching staff note many barriers, which may restrict nutritional education programming and delivery. This is concerning, considering the view that teachers are the key agents for promoting health and nutrition within schools. The purpose of the updated systematic review and meta-analysis was to ascertain the impact that nutrition education programs have on elementary-aged students' energy intake, fruit, vegetable, sugar consumption and nutritional knowledge. A systematic literature search was conducted using electronic databases (The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL); A + Education; ERIC; PsycINFO; MEDLINE; ProQuest Central, Journals@Ovid and SAGE Health Sciences Full-Text Collection) from 1990 to 31st October 2018. This process yielded 34 studies for inclusion in this systematic review and meta-analysis. Of these studies, seven studies had a focus on energy intake, five had a focus on sugar consumption, 21 of the studies looked at fruit and vegetable consumption and 13 studies focused on nutritional knowledge. The results suggest that the teaching of nutrition education in elementary schools by qualified teachers can make an important contribution to the knowledge and dietary habits of children. The small and medium effect sizes indicate that prudent, evidence-based decisions need to be made by policy makers and pedagogues as to the teaching strategies employed when delivering nutrition education programs to elementary-aged students. The review is reported in accordance to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines (van Sluijs et al., 2007).

BACKGROUND: As health care technologies continue to advance rapidly, resulting in improved standards of practice, it is essential for health care professionals to continually expand on their current skills and knowledge. We describe here an initiative to use open education resources to provide ongoing education in radiation medical sciences and imaging. AIMS: The aim of this study to design an interactive, engaging, multilevel radiation medical physics resource, which is fully open to the public, and functional on all types of computing devices. Our primary target audiences are students and workers in medical radiation technology and other health care professionals as part of their continuing professional development. DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT: The three tasks of design, development, and content creation were most efficiently performed in parallel wherever possible. A modern responsive web design was adopted to target all desktop and mobile devices. Only open-source tools and libraries were used in developing the OpenPhys website. OVERALL WEBSITE DESIGN AND NAVIGATION: The homepage is a modern tile-based design containing one coloured tile for each lesson. Clicking anywhere on a coloured lesson tile will open up a two-dimensional interactive concept map linking to content pages. Currently, 10 lessons are available online ranging from the electronic structure of the atom to MRI basics: "NMR" and "Inside a Pixel". Lesson pages include text, images, graphics, equations, quizzes, and interactive animations. USER FEEDBACK: An online questionnaire was emailed to current radiation therapy students at the University of Alberta and alumni regarding the functionality and navigation of the website. DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION: To our knowledge, OpenPhys is the first open education resource specializing in radiation physics and medical imaging. We believe OpenPhys will fill existing gaps in the realm of physics education delivery and could be a component of a blended learning initiative. Future steps will include a formal evaluation of the website and content.

Introduction: Healthy diets play a role in the management and care for adults living with HIV/AIDS (ALH). Appropriate nutrition education (NE) is necessary to equip ALH with relevant knowledge and skills for healthy eating. A needs assessment identified the need for a nutrition education programme (NEP) as part of the nutrition service for ALH in Abeokuta, Nigeria. The aim of this study was to design a theory-based NEP and to evaluate the implementation process among ALH attending selected federal and state hospitals in Abeokuta as out-patients. Materials and Methods: An exploratory descriptive needs assessment in the qualitative and quantitative domains was conducted among a convenient sample of ALH (N = 243) at the selected hospitals. The quantitative needs assessment identified needs for improvement in the primary outcome [quality of life (QoL)] and the secondary outcomes [quality of dietary intake, nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP), and anthropometric status]. Participants' perceptions of the NEP were obtained using an interviewer administered questionnaire among 70 ALH who attended the implementation of the NEP and process evaluation thereof at the intervention hospital. Results: The qualitative results identified a lack of knowledge on planning varied meals with limited resources. The identified needs, existing guidelines and literature were integrated with appropriate constructs of the Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) and the Health Belief Model (HBM) into the NEP. The NE manual, participant's work book, flipcharts, and the brochure were tailored to address the identified challenges. Discussion: The process evaluation showed that the NEP was implemented as planned and that the participants' perceptions were positive. The use of the NE manual, participant's work book, flipcharts, and brochure demonstrated the practicality of incorporating behavioral theories in NE for ALH.
