RESUMEN

The Bergen Four Day Treatment (B4DT) is a concentrated treatment for OCD that has demonstrated promising effectiveness in Nordic country samples. The B4DT is delivered over four days and provides individual treatment in a group context. The effectiveness of the B4DT for OCD has not been tested outside Nordic countries. The current pilot study evaluated the feasibility and the potential effectiveness of B4DT in a different culture and health-care system in the United States. Findings from 48 adults with OCD who completed the B4DT indicated that OCD, anxiety, and depression symptom severity significantly decreased from pre- to post-treatment, and gains were maintained at six month follow-up. The Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale scores were reduced from moderate to subclinical; specifically, the average scores of 27.0 (pre-treatment) fell to 11.7 (post-treatment), 12.7 (3-month follow-up), and 13.7 (6-month follow-up). The B4DT was rated as highly acceptable by the US patients. Over 95% of the patients stated that they would recommend the treatment to a friend. These findings provide the first preliminary evidence for the generalizability of the B4DT to patients outside Nordic countries. Cultural and context-dependent issues that affected this dissemination pilot study are discussed in addition to future clinical and research directions.

Food processing wastewater presents a considerable challenge for treatment owing to its elevated nitrogen and phosphorus levels. Nonetheless, it possesses inherent value attributed to its abundant nutrients and organic content. This study presents an innovative approach for treating food processing wastewater and reusing biomass. Initially, the secondary-treated wastewater undergoes flocculation and sedimentation, followed by reverse osmosis to ensure that the effluent meets reuse standards. Subsequently, reverse osmosis concentrates, generated at varying water recovery rates, are utilized for microalgae cultivation to recover nitrogen and phosphorus. Furthermore, this study highlights the potential of reverse osmosis concentrates in reducing the water demand for microalgae cultivation and in producing commercial-grade nutrients. The findings reveal that reverse osmosis achieves removal rates exceeding 90 % for both nitrogen and phosphorus and effluent meets reuse standards. Following seven days of cultivation, microalgae cultured in reverse osmosis concentrated water with an 80 % water recovery rate demonstrate denitrification and phosphorus removal rates of 73.88 % and 80.92 % respectively, with a biomass concentration of 563 mg/L and a protein yield of 128 mg/L. Moreover, a total volumetric energy yield of 10.08 kJ/L is obtained, facilitating energy valorization. In conclusion, this study offers practical solutions for wastewater treatment and resource recovery, enabling the attainment of zero discharge of pollutants while generating valuable resources through microalgae cultivation.

BACKGROUND: Third molar surgery often results in postoperative complications such as pain, trismus, and facial swelling due to surgical trauma. Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF), a third-generation platelet concentrate, is believed to enhance wound healing due to its rich content of growth factors and fibrin. METHODS: This systematic review followed PRISMA guidelines and included a search of PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library up to April 18, 2024. Randomized controlled trials involving CGF-treated versus non-CGF-treated patients undergoing third molar surgery were included. Risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane Collaboration RoB 2.0. RESULTS: Ten studies were included. CGF significantly improved wound healing, with enhanced soft and hard tissue recovery. Pain relief was notable on postoperative days 3 and 7, although results varied. CGF reduced facial swelling significantly on days 3 and 7 post-surgery. Trismus outcomes were mixed, with some studies reporting significant alleviation and others showing no advantage. CGF showed potential in reducing dry socket incidence, though evidence was not robust. CONCLUSIONS: CGF appears to promote wound healing and reduce postoperative complications such as pain and swelling after third molar surgery. However, its effects on trismus and dry socket incidence remain controversial. Further research with standardized measures is needed to confirm these findings.

Concentrated solar power (CSP) is one of the few sustainable energy technologies that offers day-to-night energy storage. Recent development of the supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) Brayton cycle has made CSP a potentially cost-competitive energy source. However, as CSP plants are most efficient in desert regions, where there is high solar irradiance and low land cost, careful design of a dry cooling system is crucial to make CSP practical. In this work, we present a machine learning system to optimize the factory design and configuration of a dry cooling system for an sCO2 Brayton cycle CSP plant. For this, we develop a physics-based simulation of the cooling properties of an air-cooled heat exchanger. The simulator is able to construct a dry cooling system satisfying a wide variety of power cycle requirements (e.g., 10-100 MW) for any surface air temperature. Using this simulator, we leverage recent results in high-dimensional Bayesian optimization to optimize dry cooler designs that minimize lifetime cost for a given location, reducing this cost by 67% compared to recently proposed designs. Our simulation and optimization framework can increase the development pace of economically-viable sustainable energy generation systems.

OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of injections of concentrated growth factors (CGF) for hair growth promotion in androgenetic alopecia (AGA) patients. METHODS: A retrospective review of AGA patients treated with injections of CGF at our center from October 2021 to April 2023 was performed. A total of 3 injections were administered every 3-4 weeks apart, and evaluation were performed before the first injection and at 3 months, 6 months later. The outcomes were assessed by trichoscopy photomicrographs and the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS). RESULTS: At 3 months after the first injection, the hair density and hair growth ratio were significantly improved. Significant improvements were found in GAIS score by both patients and independent doctors and the hair growth promotion was sustained for 6 months after first treatment. CONCLUSIONS: According to this tiny single-arm trial, the use of CGF injection may help AGA by increasing terminal hair density and hair density. No severe topical or systemic adverse events occurred during the treatment.

Background: Previous studies have linked exposure to concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) with various health outcomes. However, relatively few studies evaluated the impacts of CAFOs on adverse birth outcomes, despite significant public health concerns regarding maternal and child health. Objectives: This cross-sectional study investigated the risk of adverse birth outcomes associated with CAFOs exposure and evaluated disparities in exposure to CAFOs and associated health outcomes. Methods: We obtained individual-level birth records from 2003 to 2020 from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. We considered two adverse birth outcomes: (1) preterm birth (PTB); and (2) low birth weight (LBW). Exposure was considered as a binary indicator (presence or absence of CAFO) and as categories based on level of exposure. Logistic regression was applied to estimate the association between CAFOs exposure and adverse birth outcomes. Models were adjusted for infant's sex, maternal demographics (age, race/ethnicity, education), prenatal BMI, prenatal care, smoking status, marital status, plurality, WIC status, and urban/rural indicator. We examined both disparities in exposure and in health response. Results: Presence of CAFOs was associated with higher risk of PTB, with an increasing trend with higher levels of CAFOs exposure. Compared to the no CAFO exposure group, the odds ratios for PTB were 1.022 (95 % confidence interval 1.003, 1.043), 1.066 (1.034, 1.100), 1.069 (1.042, 1.097) for low, medium, and high CAFOs exposure groups, respectively. Some maternal characteristics were associated with a higher CAFO-related risk of PTB. Similar associations were observed for LBW for some characteristics such as mother's race/ethnicity, education, WIC status, and urbanicity, although some findings were not statistically significant. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that presence of CAFOs increases risk of preterm birth. Our results indicate that some maternal characteristics may be associated with higher risk of CAFO-related PTB or LBW. This study can inform future research on disparities in CAFO exposure and associated health burden.

The solar pyrolysis of materials has emerged as a promising technology for their efficient conversion into solid char, syngas and oil. The technology has its challenges, however, as constraints such as solar intermittence and scalability must be overcame for solar pyrolysis to thrive. The present work presents a review of the developments in solar pyrolysis considering a such as development by country, solar technology employed, etcetera. Moreover, details on the challenges and potential future developments are presented. It was found that most of the development in solar pyrolysis has been focused on waste-handling, and that a particular challenge exists in an adequate control system to achieve the desired end products.

Video-rate atomic force microscopy (AFM) is used to record the near-surface nanostructure and dynamics of one pure ionic liquid (IL), 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tris(pentafluoroethyl)trifluorophosphate (HMIM FAP), and a locally-concentrated IL comprising HMIM FAP with the low viscosity diluent 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether (TFTFE), on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) and Au(111) electrodes as a function of potential. Over the potential range measured (open-circuit potential ± 1 V), different near-surface nanostructures are observed. For pure HMIM FAP, globular aggregates align in rows on HOPG, whereas elongated and worm-like nanostructures form on Au(111). For 2:1 (wt:wt) HMIM FAP:TFTFE, larger and less defined diluent swollen IL aggregates are present on both electrodes. Long-lived near-surface nanostructures for HMIM FAP and the 2:1 (wt:wt) HMIM FAP:TFTFE persist on both electrodes. 2:1 (wt:wt) HMIM FAP:TFTFE mixture diffuses more rapidly than pure HMIM FAP on both electrodes with obviously higher diffusion coefficients on HOPG than on Au(111) due to weaker electrostatic and solvophobic interactions between near-surface aggregates and Stern layer ions. These outcomes provide valuable insights for a wide range of IL applications in interface sciences, including electrolytes, catalysts, lubricants, and sensors.

Phosphorus (P) recovered from sludge-incinerated ash (SIA) could be applied to synthesize highly added-value products (FePO4 and LiFePO4) with in situ Fe in SIA. Indeed, LiFePO4 is a future of rechargeable batteries, which makes lithium (Li) highly needed. Alternatively, Li could also be extracted from concentrated brines to face a potential crisis of Li depletion on lands. Based on H3PO4 and Fe3+ co-extracted from the acidic leachate of SIA by tributyl phosphate (TBP), FePO4 (31.2 wt% Fe, 17.6 wt% P and the molar ratio of Fe/P = 0.98) was easily formed only adjusting pH of the stripping solution to 1.6. Interestingly, the organic phase from the first-stage co-extraction process of Fe3+ and H3PO4 could be utilized for Li-extraction from salt-lake brine, based on the TBP-FeCl3-kerosene system, and a good performance (78.7%) of Li-extraction and separation factors (ß) (186.0-217.4) were obtained. Furthermore, the compounds with Li-extraction are complex, possibly LiFeCl4∙2TBP, in which Li+ could be stripped to form Li2CO3 by 4.0 M HCl (with a stripping rate up to 83%). Besides, Li2CO3 could also be obtained from desalinated brine by adsorption with manganese oxide ion sieve (HMO) and desorption with HCl. In the two cases, almost pure Li2CO3 products were obtained, up to 99.7 and 99.5 wt% Li2CO3 respectively, after further purification and concentration. Finally, recovered FePO4 and extracted Li2CO3 were synthesized for producing LiFePO4 that had a similar electrochemical property (69.5 and 77.8 mAh/g of the initial discharge capacity) to those synthesized from commercial raw materials.

This study aims to investigate the effect of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), a bioactive endodontic cement, and Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF), a second-generation autologous growth factor, on pulpotomy-induced pulp inflammation. The study utilized the maxillary anterior central teeth of thirty-six young male Sprague Dawley rats. Forty-eight teeth were randomly assigned to two groups (12 rats/group; 24 teeth/group) based on the capping material (MTA or CGF). Subsequently, two subgroups (MTAG and CGFG) were formed per group (12 teeth/group) based on the time following pulpotomy (2-weeks and 4-weeks). The central teeth of the 12 animals assigned to the control group (CG) were not manipulated in any way, both in the 2-week group and in the 4-week group. Tissue samples extracted from rats at the end of the experiment were stained with H&E for histopathological analysis. For immunohistochemical analysis, primary antibodies for TNF-α and NF-kß/65 were incubated. Data obtained from semi-quantitative analysis were assessed for normal distribution using Skewness-Kurtosis values, Q-Q plot, Levene's test, and the Shapiro-Wilk test on statistical software. A P value < 0.05 was considered significant. When compared with the control group, both MTAG and CGFG showed increased edematous and inflammatory areas. In MTAG, edematous and inflammatory areas decreased significantly from the 2nd week (2(2-2), 2(1-2)) to the 4th week (1(1-1), 1(0-1)), while in CGFG, edematous areas decreased (2(2-3), 1.5(1-2)), and inflammatory areas increased significantly (2(2-3), 3(2-2.5)). When compared with the control group, TNF-α and NF-kß/p65 positivity were higher in both MTAG and CGFG. In MTAG, TNF-α [2(1.5-2)] and NF-kß/p65 [1.5(1-2)] positivity decreased significantly from the 2nd week to the 4th week [TNF-α: 1(1-1), NF-kß/p65: 1(1-2)], while no significant change was observed in CGFG. In conclusion, this study revealed a reduction in cells showing TNF-α and NF-kß/p65 positivity in the MTA treatment group compared to the CGF group. Although MTA demonstrated more favorable results than CGF in mitigating pulpal inflammation within the scope of this study, further experimental and clinical investigations are warranted to obtain comprehensive data regarding CGF.

Technologies associated with using concentrated energy flows are increasingly used in industry due to the need to manufacture products made of hard alloys and other difficult-to-process materials. This work is devoted to expanding knowledge about the processes accompanying the impact of laser pulses on material surfaces. The features of these processes are reflected in the acoustic emission signals, the parameters of which were used as a tool for understanding the accompanying phenomena. The influence of plasma formations above the material surface on self-oscillatory phenomena and the self-regulation process that affects pulse productivity were examined. The stability of plasma formation over time, its influence on the pulse performance, and changes in the heat flux power density were considered. Experimental data show the change in the power density transmitted by laser pulses to the surface when the focal plane is shifted. Experiments on the impact of laser pulses of different powers and durations on the surface of a hard alloy showed a relationship between the amplitude of acoustic emission and the pulse performance. This work shows the data content of acoustic emission signals and the possibility of expanding the research of concentrated energy flow technologies.

The Royal Society and UK Department for International Development supported a consortium of three universities across sub-Saharan Africa and Imperial College London with the aim of developing new knowledge on direct-steam-generation concentrated solar power (CSP) plants and supporting relevant capacity building across the Universities of Lagos, Mauritius and Pretoria. Key research findings from the programme include an improved flow-classification scheme for two-phase, liquid-liquid flows; testing of advanced surfaces with much-improved steady-state heat transfer performance-the commercial nanoFLUX surface showed up to 200% higher heat-transfer coefficients (HTCs) in pool boiling compared with other surfaces with R-134a/R-245fa; first-of-a-kind measurements of transient flow boiling HTCs, which were up to 30% lower in step perturbations than quasi-steady-state expectations in horizontal pipes with R-245fa; error estimation and corrections for laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) measurements, leading to the development of an adapted planar LIF technique with uncertainty <10% for local, instantaneous film thickness measurements in annular flows, and the application of such diagnostic methods to pool, falling-film and flow boiling in pipes; and predictions of an ~80% increase in the net present value of a case-study CSP plant when integrated with solid storage media.

There is an increased chance of further periodontal deterioration due to severe intrabony defect. There are s different patho physiologies for perio-endo lesions, ranging from quite basic to rather complicated but to make the right diagnosis, one must be aware of various illness processes also a careful history taking, examination, and the application of specialized tests can help achieve this. Each form of endodontic-periodontal illness has a different prognosis and course of therapy and all kinds of endo-perio lesions require endodontic and periodontal treatments are necessary for primary periodontal disease with subsequent endodontic involvement and real mixed endodontic-periodontal disorders. The severity of the periodontal disease and how well the patient responds to therapy will determine how these situations turn out. Because autologous platelet concentrates are enriched with growth factors, such as concentrated growth factor (CGF), they may enhance surgical outcomes. CGF is inserted into the appropriate intrabony defect following traditional flap debridement. Following flap surgery, the tooth in question had a root canal operation. Volumetric analysis was performed on both groups before to surgery and nine months after the procedure. It has been discovered that the defect area has a much larger bone volume due to the high levels of CGF, a regenerative and reconstructive growth factor that promotes early and high bone fill.

While autologous platelet concentrates (APCs) have gained traction as promising regenerative materials in recent years, their impact on wound healing and tissue regeneration in periapical hard tissue defects remains controversial. Endodontic microsurgery (EMS) has embraced the potential of platelet concentrates, particularly L-PRF (Leucocyte-Platelet-Rich Fibrin) and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), as regenerative tools. These concentrates, rich in growth factors and other bioactive molecules, are thought to enhance healing and treatment outcomes for various endodontic conditions. However, their effectiveness remains a subject of investigation. Despite encouraging 3-D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) based evidence for PRP's effectiveness in complex lesions and apico-marginal defects, inconsistencies in its performance across preparation and application protocols raise questions about its superiority over existing options. More research is crucial to understand its full potential as a reliable regenerative tool in endodontics. L-PRF and its derivatives are particularly effective in treating apical-marginal defects. It enhances clinical attachment levels and reduces probing pocket depths, likely due to its slow and coordinated release of various growth factors. L-PRF has been shown to also improve patients' quality of life by reducing postoperative swelling and pain. However, more research is needed to standardize its preparation methods and confirm its long-term benefits. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the current knowledge and recent advances in endodontic surgery and the use of platelet concentrates, focusing on their roles in managing periapical lesions and endo-perio lesions.

This study aimed to perform clinical and radiographic investigations of the effect of regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) with and without concentrated growth factor (CGF). Fifty-six non-vital and immature teeth from 56 patients were randomly categorized into two groups. Following chemical and mechanical preparation, REPs with and without CGF as a scaffold was induced in the blood clot (BLC) group and the CGF group. All patients were clinically and radiographically evaluated at 6-month and 12-month intervals to monitor their progress and treatment outcomes. When considering the total number of patients, the follow-up rate was 96.4% (54 out of 56 patients) over a 12-month period. Favorable clinical and radiographic outcomes were observed in 92.6% of patients (25 out of 27) in both the CGF and BLC groups; there were no significant differences between the two groups in these respects (p > 0.05). Notable differences were, however, observed in radiographic measurements relating to the development of root length and radiographic root area when compared between the CGF and BLC groups at both the 6-month and 12-month follow-up intervals (p < 0.05). REPs have been proven to represent a conservative and effective approach for promoting maturogenesis in non-vital and immature teeth. Furthermore, the incorporation of CGF as scaffolds holds promising potential for enhancing the desired biological outcomes of this regenerative technique. These findings highlight the clinical significance and potential benefits of CGF supplementation in REPs, further supporting its application in the field of endodontics.

OBJECTIVES: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of concentrated growth factor (CGF) membrane and collagen as barrier materials in sealing the alveolar socket in alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) in the posterior region during a one-year follow-up. METHODS: A total of 24 patients who underwent ARP in the posterior region were selected for inclusion and randomly assigned to the CGF group (12 cases) and Collagen group (12 cases). The patients in both groups underwent extraction of posterior teeth. The extraction sockets were filled with a bone substitute to the level of the pre-extraction buccal and lingual or palatal alveolar bone plates. The wounds in the CGF group were closed with a fabricated CGF overlaying the upper edge of the bone substitute material, whereas those in the Collagen group were closed with Bio-Oss Collagen. The implants were placed after 6 months. The evaluation was based on implant retention, re-grafting rate, and vertical and horizontal alveolar ridge bone volume changes measured by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 28.0 software. RESULTS: No patient withdrew throughout the follow-up period. No implant failure and no severe peri-implant or mucosal soft tissue complications were observed. Six months after the operation, the degree of vertical alveolar ridge height resorption in the CGF group was lower than that in the Collagen group (P<0.05). There were no statistically difference between the groups at 1 year after the operation (P>0.05). The amount of bone reduction in horizontal alveolar ridge width showed no difference between the groups at 6 months and 1 year after surgery (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: CGF membrane and Bio-Oss Collagen as barrier materials for posterior ARP inhibited reduction in alveolar ridge bone mass.

Soil erosion from agricultural fields is a persistent ecological problem, potentially leading to eutrophication of aquatic habitats in the catchment area. Often used and recommended mitigation measures are vegetated filter strips (VFS) as buffer zones between arable land and water bodies. However, if they are designed and managed poorly, nutrients - especially phosphorus (P) - may accumulate in the soil. Ultimately, VFS can switch from being a nutrient sink to a source. This problem is further aggravated if the field runoff does not occur as uniform sheet flow, but rather in concentrated form, as is usually the case. To assess the impact of concentrated flow on VFS performance, we have taken soil core samples from field-VFS transition zones at six sites in Lower Austria. We determined a multitude of physical and chemical soil parameters, focusing on P fractions and indices. Our results revealed that concentrated flow can lead to an accumulation of P in the VFS. P levels in the VFS inside the area of concentrated runoff can be equal to or higher than in the field, even though they receive no direct fertilization. However, the concentration and distribution of nutrients in the fields and VFSs were also site-specific and affected by local factors such as the age of the VFS, cropping, and fertilization. Accordingly, there is a need for more sophisticated, bespoke VFS designs that can cope with site-specific runoff volumes and movements of nutrients that occur.

It is thought that surface melting and puffing of freeze-dried amorphous materials are related to the difference between the surface temperature (Tsur) and freeze-concentrated glass transition temperature (Tg') of the materials. Although Tg' is a material-specific parameter, Tsur is affected by the type and amount of solute and freeze-drying conditions. Therefore, it will be practically useful for preventing surface melting and puffing if Tsur can be calculated using only the minimum necessary parameters. This study aimed to establish a predictive model for the surface melting and puffing of freeze-dried amorphous materials according to the calculated Tsur. First, a Tsur-predictive model was proposed under the thermodynamic equilibrium assumptions. Second, solutions with various solute mass fractions of sucrose, maltodextrin, and sucrose-maltodextrin mixture were prepared, and three material-specific parameters (Tg', unfrozen water content, and true density) were experimentally determined. According to the proposed model with the parameters, the Tsur of the samples was calculated at chamber pressures of 13, 38, and 103 Pa. The samples were freeze-dried at the chamber pressures, and their appearance was observed. As expected, surface melting and puffing occurred at calculated Tsur > Tg' with some exceptions. The water activity (aw) of the freeze-dried samples increased as the Tsur - Tg' increased. This will have resulted from surface melting and puffing, which created a covering film, thereby preventing subsequent dehydration. The observations suggest that the proposed model is also useful for predetermining the drying efficiency and storage stability of freeze-dried amorphous materials.

The incompatibility of ether electrolytes with a cathode dramatically limits its application in high-voltage Li metal batteries. Herein, we report a new highly concentrated binary salt ether-based electrolyte (HCBE, 1.25 M LiTFSI + 2.5 M LiFSI in DME) that enables stable cycling of high-voltage lithium metal batteries with the Ni-rich (NCM83, LiNi0.83Co0.12Mn0.05O2) cathode. Experimental characterizations and density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal the special solvation structure in HCBE. A solvation structure rich in aggregates (AGGs) can effectively broaden the electrochemical window of the ether electrolyte. The anions in HCBE preferentially decompose under high voltage, forming a CEI film rich in inorganic components to protect the electrolyte from degradation. Thus, the high-energy-density Li||NCM83 cell has a capacity retention of ≈95% after 150 cycles. Significantly, the cells in HCBE have a high and stable average Coulombic efficiency of over 99.9%, much larger than that of 1 M LiPF6 + EC + EMC + DMC (99%). The result emphasizes that the anionic-driven formation of a cathode electrolyte interface (CEI) can reduce the number of interface side reactions and effectively protect the cathode. Furthermore, the Coulombic efficiency of Li||Cu using the HCBE is 98.5%, underscoring the advantages of using ether-based electrolytes. This work offers novel insights and approaches for the design of high-performance electrolytes for lithium metal batteries.

The need to move to more sustainable energy generation has become a major concern among world leaders due to the debilitating effect of greenhouse gases on the environment. Africa has the greatest potential to transition to more sustainable energy sources due to its enormous renewable energy resource potential, particularly solar. This study thus assessed the potential of generating power using a concentrated solar tower power plant (CSTP) at three different locations in Algeria. The study evaluated the system's technical, environmental, economic, and employment creation potential and analyzed the hydrogen and ammonia creation potential using the electricity produced by the CSTP system. Naama, Laghouat, and Ghardaia recorded annual energies of 507 GWh, 502 GWh, and 547 GWh, with capacity factors of 57.6%, 57.6%, and 62%, respectively. A real levelized cost of energy ranging between 7.72 and 8.47 cent$/kWh was obtained. A total of 8530 tons of nitrogen and 1844 tons of hydrogen will be theoretically needed to produce ammonia (fertilizer) for 500,000 hectares of arable land for agricultural activities. In addition, using hydrogen from the CSTP system to produce the estimated ammonia will save 6124.56 tons of CO2 emissions from polluting the environment annually. The creation of thousands of direct and indirect jobs will significantly benefit Algerians. The study concluded with some policy recommendations based on its findings.
