OBJECTIVE: The objective of this systematic review was to synthesize evidence from randomized controlled trials on the efficacy of different mind-body therapies (MBTs) in enhancing resilience in adolescents. METHODS: Randomized controlled trials of different MBTs were identified using electronic databases and manual searches, including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCOhost, APA PsycINFO, Cochrane Library, and Google database. The Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB 2) was used to assess risk of bias in randomized controlled trials. A narrative synthesis of the included trials was conducted. RESULTS: A total of 11 randomized controlled trials involving 3640 adolescents met the inclusion criteria, with 7 trials evaluating the efficacy of Mindfulness, 2 Martial arts, and 2 Yoga. Among the 11 trials, 3 trials reported a significant effect of Mindfulness on resilience in adolescents (Cohen's d = 0.11 to 0.92), while 2 trials reported a significant effect of Martial arts (Cohen's d = 0.51 to 0.73). However, 2 trials evaluating Yoga did not find significant improvements in resilience. CONCLUSIONS: Due to inconsistencies in the available evidence and heterogeneity across populations, sample sizes, and interventions, it is currently not possible to derive compelling recommendations to guide clinical practice on MBTs for enhancing resilience in adolescents. Whether MBTs can serve as alternative or adjuvant approaches to other established interventions to foster resilience in adolescents and mitigate the physical-health risks caused by stressful environments remains undetermined, necessitating further high-quality randomized controlled trials to evaluate their actual efficacy.

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a serious health condition that adversely affects the mind and body. Current first-line treatment for PTSD tends to focus on the mind and overlook the impacts of trauma on the body. Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based adjunctive therapy for complex trauma and PTSD that uses a body-based approach to trauma healing. Although designed to be used in group or individual contexts, previous studies have focused only on TCTSY facilitated in groups. The present study examined the effects of one-to-one TCTSY (i.e., one participant receiving TCTSY services, not in a group TCTSY context) on anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, interoception, substance use, and sleep over time. Using an observational approach, all certified TCTSY facilitators received the study invitation to share with clients who were enrolled in one-to-one TCTSY services. Ten clients participated in the study across four countries (women n = 8; mean age 44.80 ± 11.91; PTSD diagnosis n = 9). Clients completed Qualtrics surveys at TCTSY sessions in June-December 2022. Linear mixed-model analyses found that anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress symptoms, attention regulation, self-regulation, and body listening significantly improved over time. There were no significant changes in sleep or substance use from pre- to post-study. TCTSY is a somatic approach for managing trauma symptoms and enhancing interoceptive awareness. Extensions of the present study are warranted to further understand the effects of one-to-one TCTSY for trauma care.

Within the realms of human and artificial intelligence, the concepts of consciousness and comprehension are fundamental distinctions. In the clinical sphere, patient awareness regarding medication and its physiological processes plays a crucial role in determining drug efficacy and outcomes. This article introduces a novel perspective on prescription practices termed "Ultra-Overt Therapy" (UOT). A review of current supporting evidence was conducted through a non-systematic search in PubMed and Google Scholar, focusing on concepts such as the "mind-body relationship," "placebo response," "neuroscience," and "complementary medicine." Our findings, rooted in the mechanisms of the "placebo effect," the intricacies of "intersubjective therapy," the potency of "interoceptive awareness," and other domains of medical science, suggest that UOT holds theoretical promise. Future research endeavors focusing on these areas may elucidate the global impact of this method on medical treatment and patient care.

PURPOSE: Yoga may be uniquely suited to address bio-psycho-social concerns among adults with gynecologic cancer because it can be tailored to individuals' needs and can help shift focus inward towards self-reflection, body appreciation, and gratitude. This study describes the collaborative process guided by the Knowledge-to-Action framework used to develop a yoga program for adults diagnosed with gynecologic cancer and inform a feasibility trial. METHODS: In 3 collaborative phases, yoga instructors and women diagnosed with gynecologic cancer formulated recommendations for a yoga program and evaluated the co-created program. RESULTS: The program proposed is 12 weeks in length and offers two 60-min group-based Hatha yoga classes/week to five to seven participants/class, online or in person, with optional supplemental features. Overall, participants deemed the co-created program and instructor guidebook to be reflective of their needs and preferences, though they provided feedback to refine the compatibility, performability, accessibility, risk precautions, and value of the program as well as the instructor guidebook. CONCLUSION: The feasibility, acceptability, and benefits of the program are being assessed in an ongoing feasibility trial. If deemed feasible and acceptable, and the potential for enhancing patient-reported outcomes is observed, further investigation will focus on larger-scale trials to determine its value for broader implementation.

BACKGROUND: Several studies have reviewed yoga for the treatment of disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI) with most demonstrating a benefit for symptom reduction; however, yoga has been studied beyond DGBI. PURPOSE: The aim of this systematic review is to provide a comprehensive summary of yoga as treatment for gastrointestinal conditions. METHOD: We conducted literature searches in PubMed and Embase and included yoga trials of adults with a diagnosis of a gastrointestinal disorders and diseases. RESULTS: We identified 1275 articles; 12 studies were eligible. Most studies compared yoga to controls, for patients with different GI conditions (irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, chronic pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal cancer). The type, method, and duration of yoga used varied. Across IBS studies, most demonstrated that yoga improved IBS symptom severity, mood-related symptoms, and quality of life compared with controls. In one study of inflammatory bowel disease, yoga improved quality of life compared to controls. Two studies of gastrointestinal cancer demonstrated that yoga led to a reduction in sleep disturbance and mood symptoms. One study of chronic pancreatitis found that yoga led to improvements in quality of life, stress, mood changes, alcohol dependence, and appetite. Yoga was generally safe, and no serious adverse events were attributed to the intervention. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, yoga appears to be safe and has potential to improve functioning across a spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases; however, current studies are limited by heterogeneity and methodological weaknesses. Further research is needed to evaluate the impact of yoga on health outcomes for a broader range of gastrointestinal conditions.

OBJECTIVE: Fibromyalgia is a chronic and disabling condition that presents management challenges for both patients and healthcare providers. The objective of this systematic review was to summarize current evidence on the effectiveness and safety of mind-body therapies in the treatment and/or management of fibromyalgia. METHODS: We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, AMED, and CINAHL databases from their inception to December 2023. Eligible articles included adults diagnosed with fibromyalgia participating in a mind-body therapy intervention and were published from the beginning of 2012 onwards. We assessed the quality of the studies using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklists. RESULTS: Of 3866 records screened, 27 studies (30 articles) met our inclusion criteria, in which 22 were randomized controlled trials and 5 were quasi-experimental studies. Mind-body therapies included guided imagery (n = 5), mindfulness-based stress reduction (n = 5), qi gong (n = 5), tai chi (n = 5), biofeedback (n = 3), yoga (n = 2), mindfulness awareness training (n = 1), and progressive muscle relaxation (n = 1). With the exception of mindfulness-based stress reduction, all therapies had at least one study showing significant improvements in pain at the end of treatment. Multiple studies on guided imagery, qi gong, and tai chi observed significant improvements in pain, fatigue, multidimensional function, and sleep. Approximately one-third of the studies reported on adverse events. CONCLUSIONS: This review suggests that mind-body therapies are potentially beneficial for adults with fibromyalgia. Further research is necessary to determine if the positive effects observed post-intervention are sustained. The perception of signals from within the body, known as interoception, is increasingly recognized as a prerequisite for physical and mental health. This study is dedicated to the development of effective technological approaches for enhancing interoceptive abilities. We provide evidence of the effectiveness and practical feasibility of a novel real-time haptic heartbeat supplementation technology combining principles of biofeedback and sensory augmentation. In a randomized controlled study, we applied the developed naturalistic haptic feedback on a group of 30 adults, while another group of 30 adults received more traditional real-time visual heartbeat feedback. A single session of haptic, but not visual heartbeat feedback resulted in increased interoceptive accuracy and confidence, as measured by the heart rate discrimination task, and in a shift of attention toward the body. Participants rated the developed technology as more helpful and pleasant than the visual feedback, thus indicating high user satisfaction. The study highlights the importance of matching sensory characteristics of the feedback provided to the natural bodily prototype. Our work suggests that real-time haptic feedback might be a superior approach for strengthening the mind-body connection in interventions for physical and mental health.

The relative efficacy of various mind-body exercises in the treatment of depressive symptoms remains uncertain. We examined the optimal modalities (Tai Chi, qigong, yoga) and dose of mind-body exercise to improve depressive symptoms in adults. A systematic search of six electronic databases for randomized controlled trials on the relationship between exercise and depression was carried out, encompassing data from their inception up to November 2023. Pairwise analyses, network analyses and dose-response meta-analyses using random-effects models were performed to analyse the effect of exercise on depression. Forty studies were included. Results showed that Yoga [standardised mean difference (SMD) = -0.55; 95% confidence interval (CI): (-0.76, -0.35)] was the most effective form of exercise for improving depressive symptoms, followed by Qigong (SMD = -0.52; 95%CI: -0.92, -0.11) and Tai Chi exercise (SMD = -0.42; 95%CI: -0.71, -0.13). In addition, a non-linear dose-response relationship was found between overall mind-body exercise dose and depression levels and a significant response was observed after 260 METs-min. Our study examined the effectiveness of different types of mind-body exercise in improving depression and found that yoga may be the most effective adjunctive intervention. There was a non-linear dose-response relationship between total exercise and depression levels. However, caution should be exercised in interpreting and applying these results.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a global health concern. Mind-body exercises like Tai Chi and Yoga are suggested as non-pharmacological interventions for COPD management. This meta-analysis evaluates mind-body exercises' impact on lung function and exercise capacity in stable COPD patients, aiming to assess their effectiveness in rehabilitation. A systematic search across various databases identified relevant randomized controlled trials until April 2024. Primary outcomes included lung function tests (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC, FEV1%) and Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) results. The Standardized Mean Difference (SMD) measured intervention effects. Fifteen studies with 1047 participants were analyzed. Mind-body exercises significantly improved FEV1 (SMD = 0.87), FEV1/FVC (SMD = 0.19), FEV1% (SMD = 0.43), and 6MWT (SMD = 1.21) compared to standard care. Sensitivity and subgroup analyses confirmed result stability despite some heterogeneity.In conclusion, Mind-body exercises enhance lung function and exercise capacity in stable COPD patients. Integrating them into comprehensive rehabilitation programs is advisable. Further research should explore the specific impacts of different exercise types and intensities.

Physical exercise is recognized for its beneficial effects on brain health and executive function, particularly through the careful manipulation of key exercise parameters, including type, intensity, and duration. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to delineate the optimal types, intensities, and durations of exercise that improve cognitive functions in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia. A comprehensive search was conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed from their inception until December 2023. The methodological quality and publication bias of the included studies were assessed using the PEDro scale and Egger's regression test, respectively. Separate meta-analyses were performed to assess the overall impact of exercise on cognitive assessments and to explore the effects of different exercise types (i.e., aerobic, resistance, dual-task, mind-body, and multi-component exercises) and intensities (i.e., low, moderate, and high) on executive function. Results were presented as standardized mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). A meta-regression analysis was conducted to examine the correlation between exercise duration and mean effects. In total, 15,087 articles were retrieved from three databases, of which 35 studies were included in our final analyses. The results indicated high overall methodological quality (PEDro score = 8) but a potential for publication bias (t = 2.08, p = 0.045). Meta-analyses revealed that all types of exercise (SMD = 0.691, CI [0.498 to 0.885], p < 0.001) and intensities (SMD = 0.694, CI [0.485 to 0.903], p < 0.001) show significant effects favoring exercise. Notably, dual-task exercises (SMD = 1.136, CI [0.236 to 2.035], p < 0.001) and moderate-intensity exercises (SMD = 0.876, CI [0.533 to 1.219], p < 0.001) exhibited the greatest effect. No significant correlation was observed between exercise duration and SMD (R² = 0.038, p = 0.313). Overall, our meta-analyses support the role of physical exercise in enhancing executive function in older adults with MCI or dementia. It is essential to carefully tailor exercise parameters, particularly type and intensity, to meet the specific needs of older adults with MCI or dementia. Such customization is crucial for optimizing executive function outcomes and improving overall brain health.

Background/Objectives: Chronic non-specific low back pain (CNSLBP) is a prevalent condition causing significant distress and healthcare costs globally. Despite various treatments, effective management remains challenging. Pilates, recognized for its focus on core strength and postural alignment, has emerged as a promising intervention. This study investigates the impact of mind-body in Pilates for directing participants on CNSLBP outcomes. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 67 participants, aged 18 to 65 years, suffering from CNSLBP. They were allocated into two groups: Pilates with mind-body cueing (n = 34) and Pilates without cueing (n = 33). Both groups underwent 60 min sessions twice weekly for 8 weeks. Outcome measures included pain intensity (Visual Analogue Scale), functional disability (Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire), fear of movement (Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia), and adherence (percentage of sessions attended). Statistical significance was determined through repeated measures ANOVA. Results: Both groups showed significant improvement in pain reduction, functional ability, and kinesiophobia. However, the mind-body group demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in kinesiophobia compared to the non-cueing group (p = 0.048), indicating the potential additional benefit of mind-body cueing in managing movement-related fear in CNSLBP. Conclusions: This study underscores the effectiveness of an 8-week Pilates intervention in managing CNSLBP, highlighting the added value of mind-body cueing in reducing fear of movement. These findings suggest incorporating mind-body cueing in Pilates could enhance the therapeutic benefits, particularly for patients with high levels of movement-related fear, potentially improving long-term adherence to physical activity and rehabilitation outcomes.

PURPOSE: Mind-body exercise is a promising non-pharmacological approach for managing sleep disturbance and depression that are prevalent among older adults, but its efficacy remains inconclusive across the studies. This study aimed to systematically evaluate and quantify the overall effectiveness of mind-body exercises on sleep disturbance and depression in older adults. METHODS: We searched eight databases to identify relevant articles from their inception to April 2024. Experimental studies that evaluate the effects of mind-body movement therapy on sleep disturbance and depression in older adults were included. The Cochrane Risk of Bias tool version 2.0 was used to appraise included studies. The pairwise meta-analysis was performed through the software Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Version 3.0. Moreover, subgroup analysis was utilized to understand the effect size on each form of mind-body exercise and to determine the source of heterogeneity. RESULTS: A total of 27 studies were eligible and synthesized. The mind-body exercise appears statistically significant in reducing sleep disturbance (SMD= -0.60, 95% CI: -0.76 to -0.44) and depression (SMD= -0.56, 95% CI: -0.75 to -0.36) among older adults. Each form of mind-body exercise, including pilates, yoga, qigong, and tai-chi, effectively decreases sleep disturbance and depression, but there were no significant differences in the effects between these practices. CONCLUSIONS: The cumulative evidence concludes that older adults who participated in mind-body exercise programs showed potential improvements in sleep disturbance and depression. This finding may serve as evidence for professionals to use this approach as a non-pharmacological approach to help older adults in the community and long-term care facilities who are having sleep disturbance and depression. More clinical trials are needed for an in-depth meta-analysis that can rank and compare the efficacy of each mind-body exercise practice.

Chronic pain syndromes affect over one-third of the US adult population and often lead to significant disability and a reduced quality of life. Despite their high prevalence, causal links between chronic pain syndromes and anatomic abnormalities are often not apparent. Most current chronic pain treatments provide modest, if any, relief. Thus, there is a pressing need to understand the causal mechanisms implicated in chronic pain as a means to develop more targeted interventions for improvement in clinical outcomes and reduction in morbidity and financial burden. In the present manuscript, we summarize the current literature on treatment for chronic pain, and hypothesize that non-specific chronic back pain (without a clear organic etiology, such as tumors, infections or fractures) is of psychophysiologic origin. Based on this hypothesis, we developed Psychophysiologic Symptom Relief Therapy (PSRT), a novel pain reduction intervention for understanding and treating chronic pain. In this manuscript, we provide the rationale for PSRT, which we have tested in a pilot trial with a subsequent larger randomized trial underway. In the proposed trial, we will evaluate whether non-specific chronic back pain can be treated by addressing the underlying stressors and psychological underpinnings without specific physical interventions.

Introduction: With depression's growing global prevalence and substantial impact, effective prevention and management strategies are imperative. Our study aims to perform a thorough bibliometric analysis of existing research on the impact of exercise on depression. Methods: A comprehensive analysis of Web of Science Core Collection publications from 2000 to 2020 was performed, highlighting trends, themes, and influential authors. The study focused on subject categories, source journals, countries/regions, institutions, and prolific authors. Co-citation and keyword analyses revealed key themes, hotspots and the thematic evolution. Results: The multidisciplinary nature of this research is evident across psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, and sports science. Specific populations such as women, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses were targeted. Mind-body exercises like yoga and tai chi gained prominence. Co-citation clusters showcased the evolution from early investigations on exercise's impact to recent dose-response and protocol studies. Conclusions: This bibliometric analysis provides insights into the dynamic field of exercise interventions for depression. It underscores the importance of individual differences, calls for guidelines considering comorbidities, and points towards future directions such as exploring mind-body exercise mechanisms and well-designed clinical trials. This study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the research landscape and informs future endeavors aimed at refining depression treatment through exercise interventions.

OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of mind-body practices (MBPs) and multiple psychological methods, and identify the optimal method for relieving work-related stress among healthcare workers (HCWs) by network meta-analysis (NMA). METHODS: We applied six electronic databases, namely PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, PsycINFO, Cochrane, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure to identify relevant RCTs from inception to September 16, 2023, and implemented a search strategy based on the PICOS principles. Data selection, extraction, and analysis of bias were carried out independently and in duplicate by separate researchers. State 16.0 was used to conduct NMA for comparing the effectiveness of various therapies. RESULTS: We identified 23 studies including MBPs and three different psychological therapies, namely mindfulness-related therapy (MRT), psychoeducational therapy (PT), and comprehensive therapy (CT), which were divided into eleven specific techniques, namely yoga, meditation techniques (MT), Qigong, muscle relaxation(MR), biofeedback therapy (BT), mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs), modified mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR-M), mindfulness-based interventions combined with others (MBIs-C), mindfulness-based awareness(MBA), PT and CT. Our NMA results of MBPs and three psychological therapies showed MBPs (SMD = -0.90, CrI:-1.26, -0.05, SUCRA = 99%) were effective for occupational stress in HCWs, followed by MRT(SMD = -0.48, CrI:-0.87, -0.08, SUCRA = 66.5%). NMA results of eleven specific techniques showed yoga (SMD = 1.36, CrI:0.91, 1.81, SUCRA = 97.5%) was the most effective technique in relieving the stress of HCWs, followed by MR (SMD = 1.36, CrI:0.91, 1.81, SUCRA = 87.3%). CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggested MBPs may be the most effective intervention to improve the occupational stress of HCWs. Furthermore, yoga is likely to be the most optimal of MBPs. Hospital managers should attach importance to yoga in addressing occupational stress among medical workers.

OBJECTIVE: The Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness, version 2 (MAIA-2) is a commonly utilized self-report instrument to assess individuals' ability to perceive bodily sensations. The MAIA-2 has displayed variable psychometric properties across samples. Thus, we examine the psychometric properties of the MAIA-2 in a Southeastern United States college sample. PARTICIPANTS: Our studies consisted of 710 (study 1) and 66 (study 2) college students. METHODS: Study 1 used a cross-sectional research design where we investigated the factor structure, and measurement invariance (e.g., measured similarly across genders). Study 2 examined the test-retest reliability across a three-week period. RESULTS: The MAIA-2 displayed adequate to good internal consistencies and factor loadings, strict invariance, and questionable temporal stability. CONCLUSION: The MAIA-2 demonstrates adequate psychometric properties in this college sample that were similar to the original MAIA sample characteristics. Contextual and cultural factors may influence the subjective experience of interpreting bodily sensations.

RESUMEN

This review explores the benefits of yoga during pregnancy and considers its implications for working pregnant women, focusing on safety, future directions, and limitations. The physical and psychological changes experienced during pregnancy can lead to increased stress and discomfort, impacting both maternal and fetal health, which may be further augmented by work stress during pregnancy. To address these challenges, various interventions such as yoga, relaxation techniques, and meditation have been proposed. Although there is evidence to support the benefits of yoga at both physical and psychological levels, there is a lack of proper strategies and guidelines for the implications of these interventions among working pregnant women. Incorporating yoga as a safe and cost-effective intervention for managing work-related distress during pregnancy can have significant benefits for both maternal and fetal health. However, careful consideration of safety guidelines, further research on working pregnant women, and exploring optimal implementation strategies are essential to fully harness the potential of yoga in this context. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current evidence for the benefits and safety of yoga during pregnancy, with a specific focus on working pregnant women. To ensure the scientific rigor of this review, we conducted a systematic search of the PubMed database for high-quality research studies published in peer-reviewed journals.

Diabetes, a chronic metabolic disorder marked by elevated blood glucose levels, is increasingly prevalent globally, significantly impacting health-related quality of life. Type 2 diabetes (T2DM), characterized by insulin resistance and inadequate insulin production, presents a substantial public health challenge, necessitating comprehensive management strategies. Conventional treatments, including lifestyle modifications and pharmacotherapy, are essential for glycemic control and preventing complications. However, adherence to these treatments is often limited, highlighting the need for alternative strategies. Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) offers potential cost-effective and accessible approaches for managing T2DM. Key herbal remedies like cinnamon, fenugreek, and bitter melon, along with dietary supplements like chromium, magnesium, and vanadium, have shown promise in glycemic control. Mind-body therapies, including yoga, tai chi, and meditation, contribute to improved hemoglobin A1c and fasting blood glucose levels. Research supports the integration of CAM with conventional therapies, demonstrating enhanced clinical efficacy and reduced economic burden. However, challenges such as standardization, quality control, and potential risks of herbal medicines need careful consideration. Regulatory frameworks and ethical considerations are essential to ensure patient safety and informed decision-making. Patient education and effective communication between healthcare providers and patients are crucial for integrating CAM into diabetes management. Empowerment-based interventions and collaborative approaches can enhance self-management skills and clinical outcomes. Overall, integrating CAM with conventional treatments offers a holistic approach to managing T2DM, potentially improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.

BACKGROUND: Mind-body interventions (MBI) have emerged as a potential therapeutic approach, but their effectiveness in the treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) remains inconclusive. This study systematically evaluates the effectiveness of MBI on quality of life, anthropometry, androgen secretion, glucose, and lipid metabolism in PCOS. METHODS: A computer search was conducted across three databases: PubMed, the Cochrane Library, and EMBASE, to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) related to MBI for PCOS from their inception until July 2024. DerSimonian and Laird's random-effects model and Stata 17.0 software was employed for our meta-analysis. RESULTS: Twelve RCTs were included. MBI significantly improved PCOSQ subscale scores, including emotional disturbances (MD: 7.75, 95% CI: 6.10 to 9.40), body hair (MD: 2.73, 95% CI: 0.54 to 4.91), menstrual problems (MD: 3.79, 95% CI: 2.89 to 4.69), and weight (MD: 1.48, 95% CI: 0.03 to 2.93). Furthermore, there was a reduction in depression levels (MD: -1.53, 95% CI: -2.93 to -0.13). Sensitivity analysis confirmed the robustness of PCOSQ-Emotional disturbances and PCOSQ-Menstrual problems, with a high GRADE level of evidence for these subscales. Secondary outcome measures, including waist-hip ratio, fasting blood glucose, and HOMA-IR exhibited statistically significant differences. Subgroup analysis revealed that obesity could influence treatment outcomes. CONCLUSION: MBI can serve as an alternative therapy, modulating effect on the quality of life and depression in PCOS patients. Future well-designed, high-quality, and large-scale studies should be conducted to thoroughly assess the impact of different Mind-Body Interventions (MBI) on various PCOS phenotypes.
