RESUMEN

Supervision of student nurses during internships is evolving towards learning-centered support, readjusting the roles of the players involved. An action-research project in Saint-Brieuc, France, highlights the complexity of this practice. A guideline encourages a flexible approach, fostering a relationship of trust. Confidentiality, respect and adaptability are essential for an environment conducive to learning. This work underlines the importance of internship supervision and offers recommendations for an individualized approach, while maintaining a balance between academic rigor and human qualities.

RESUMEN

The professional didactic offers a perspective to understand human activity and its adaptation to reality. Two master's research studies in health explored the activity of trainers in nursing training institute during nursing students' internships. These studies highlight the evolution of mentoring practices in the context of nursing education reform. The findings emphasize the importance of reflective guidance and inquiry to promote reflexivity and learning among nursing students. This approach contributes to the professionalization of trainers and clinical mentors, facilitating the transition between theory and practice for students.

RESUMEN

The educational dimension plays an important role in patient care, given the reduction in hospitalisation time, the complexity of the information to be given to patients and the increase in chronic diseases. It is therefore important to train not only healthcare professionals, but also nursing students. To provide Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE), students must be able to adopt an educational posture rather than that of experts and graduates must be able to carry out educational diagnoses or shared educational assessments and run therapeutic workshops. A cross-disciplinary PTE project has been developed at the Ifsi in Périgueux, in collaboration with health professionals and expert patients.

RESUMEN

As part of their training, volunteer nursing students from the Gers healthcare training institute were invited to take part in a sports exchange with a handibasket team. RESUMEN

For the past three years, the Institut de formation interhospitalier Théodore-Simon (Ifits) has been embarking on a magnificent adventure to meet its student nurses, collecting their words and testimonials in a series of podcasts, the main aim of which is to shed as much light as possible on the reality of nursing studies. This article retraces the genesis of the project and demonstrates the added value of this tool for future professionals and trainers alike.

RESUMEN

This article is the shared experience of six student nurses. They look back on their health service experience and explain how their decision to create an escape game for 5th graders was a unique and enriching experience for both the students and themselves. In particular, it enabled them to develop a number of skills that were extremely useful in building their professional identity.

RESUMEN

A study of health students at the Université de Bretagne Occidentale showed that nursing students smoked more than those in other fields. The present study of health students in the same city shows that, conversely, students in nursing training institutes (Ifsi) consumed less alcohol.

RESUMEN

Tutoring involves a commitment on the part of tutors to welcoming, teaching and supporting student nurses. Tutoring plays a central role in our orthopedic surgery department, and we make it a priority. Its operation evolves according to needs, changes in tutors, student levels and the expectations of the nursing training institute. Our constant commitment to tutoring reflects our awareness of the need to support our future colleagues. Drawing on our various backgrounds and experiences, we felt it necessary to review the way we supervise ISTs and carry out our role as tutors.

Hosting students in private practice has become a regular occurrence since the reform of the nursing training reference system in 2009. This is a choice and is often a task to be set up in relation to the specific expectations of the educational managers. This is a form of one-on-one supervision that may require prior training. In some cases, it is an activity among other pedagogical missions that should be a moment of pleasure for all.

RESUMEN

The quality approach allows an institution to analyse and improve its internal organisation in order to satisfy its clients or users regarding their expectations. For nursing training institutes, which have been included in higher education since July 2009, a quality approach of the training must be implemented. Like the patient tracer, a study has shown that the transfer of this method to training facilities is possible via the student tracer approach.

For 70 years, nurse training has been regularly reformed as knowledge and practices evolve. The 2009 reform is part of a professionalisation approach, with training supported by university. More than ten years after it came into force, the analysis of incidents encountered by students during clinical internships highlights two training points that need to be reinforced: acquisition of clinical reasoning and construction of a nursing identity.

The terms for recruiting nursing students changed in 2018 in favour of Parcoursup, putting an end to the entrance exam. The first class recruited via this national platform took its first steps in training in September 2019. The enthusiasm of young people for the sector was very high, leading to a modification of the rules for 2020-2021.

RESUMEN

The 2009 training reference frame was designed in accordance with the development of students' learning capacities and the French health context. As part of this necessary development, nurse training is based on a three-party contract between the student, the trainer and the internship tutor. The portfolio, used as an assessment aid and a tool to monitor learning, makes the progress and the acquisition of skills visible during the three years of training. As it is digitised, information concerning the internship can be shared in real time.

RESUMEN

Student nurses at the heart of the Covid-19 crisis. Many student nurses were involved in dealing with the Covid-19 health crisis. As a consequence, the block release training programme was completely overturned in order to meet the urgent requirements of health and medical-social institutions. Two student nurses from Île-de-France, in their third year of training, share anonymously their experience on the ground during the health crisis. Their experiences, which required polyvalence, adaptability, stress management and autonomy on their part, have considerably enriched their portfolio of competencies.
