RESUMEN

Expert evaluation of the correctness of medical care is one of the most complex problems for experts. A total of 303 expert evaluations of this kind were carried out in the Moscow regional Bureau during the recent 11 years. Expert evaluation of surgical care were the most numerous. The percentage of cases when grave defects of medical care were detected is rather high: 58-88%. The authors consider that a universal scheme of expert evaluation concerning infringement of the law by medical workers is to be developed for forensic medical service of the Russian Federation. They propose a table, which takes account of the type of error (diagnostic, strategic, medical, management), causes of errors (objective or subjective), causes of improper actions of physicians, relationship between death and the error, probability of survival if medical care had been proper, data on bringing an action against the physician, etc.

RESUMEN

Lipid peroxidation (LPO) develops in the virus envelopes in the course of storage of influenza virus suspensions. It is registered by fluorescent methods by the time course of intermediate products (short-chain dialdehydes) and final products of LPO (fluorescent pigment), this being characteristic of an autocatalytic process. The conformity of the basic regularities of LPO and virus inactivation in samples differing by the storage conditions, concentrations of virions and antioxidants (alpha-tocopherol acetate and phenosan) permits us to consider LPO as an important mechanism of enveloped virus inactivation during storage.

RESUMEN

The method of affinity chromatography on sepharose with immobilized tRNA in the presence of urea was developed for separating the subunits of phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase from E. coli MRE-600 (subunit structure alpha 2 beta 2). Specific binding of large beta-subunits of the enzyme on immobilized tRNA testifies the localization of the tRNA-binding center on the beta-subunit of phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase. Separately alpha- and beta-subunits of the enzyme exhibit no catalytic activity. Incubation of the mixture of alpha- and beta-subunits in conditions leading to reassociation of the oligomeric structure results in restoration of catalytic activity of the enzyme. In the presence of urea resin with immobilised analogs of ATP binds alpha- and beta-subunits of the enzyme. This testifies the presence of nucleotide-binding sites on both subunits. The possibility of using the affinity chromatography method to separate non-identical subunits of different enzymes is discussed.
