In order to assess the radioecological situation created in the area of the location of diversified uranium mining enterprise "Priargunsky Production Mining and Chemical Association" (PIMCU) there was investigated the radioactivity of a number of the compartments of environment, both at the industrial site and beyond it, as well as the volume activity of radon inside the ground and working premises. Radioecological situation in the vicinity of the uranium mines was performed in comparison with the background (fixed reference, control) district, where there is no uranium mining. Performed studies have shown the significant excess content of 226Ra, 232Th, 210Pb, 222Rn in soil, water open water bodies and local foods near uranium mines compared to areas outside the zone of influence of uranium mining that allows to make a conclusion about the significant technogenic pollution of local areas of the plant and adjoining territory.

The influence of culture density and genotype on the polyteny degree of giant chromosomes (PDC) in Drosophila melanogaster was investigated. The reliable depression of the polytene chromosomes endoreduplication function under increased culture density was revealed. The essential dependence of the PDC on the genotype was shown. Correlation between the PDC and the number of adaptive features was established. The certain parallelism between the increased heterosis effect on the number of quantitative characters and the superiority of the hybrids above the inbred lines on the PDC in conditions of high culture density was found out. The sex-dependent distinctions and maternal effect at the inheritance of the PDC in drosophila were shown.

Factors of persistence and/or pathogenicity in Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Aeromonas hydrophila (hemolytic, lipase, lecithin, DNAase, RNAase, antilysozyme, "anti-interferon", anticomplementary activities and capacity for absorbing Congo red) were studied. The study revealed the interspecific and subpopulation (hospital and extraorganismal parts of the population) differences in the activity of the manifestation of these factors. Strong dependence of the whole complex of persistence and pathogenicity factors of their belonging to the hostal part of Vibrio and Aeromonas populations was shown.

The bacteriological study of feces from 458 patients with acute enteric diseases revealed that in 3.2% of cases (in summer in 8.1% of cases) the disease was caused by Aeromonas. In Aeromonas strains isolated from river water in the Volga delta, from fish and from raw meat the same pathogenicity factors occurred as in strains isolated from patients (hemolysin, DNA-ase, protease, lecithinase, amylase, adhesins, capacity of binding Congo red).

Samples of black caviar in 47.7% of cases are contaminated by opportunistic bacteria Aeromonas, Proteus, Vibrio, V. parahaemolyticus. Standardization of these micro-organisms content in black caviar is recommended.

Bacterial contamination of water and fish in the Volga delta region was studied. Water near large enterprises contained more bacteria than at 75 km a distance of downstream. All organs and tissues of sturgeon contained opportunistic bacteria. Bacterial contamination of water is responsible incidences for acute intestinal diseases of the population.

Computer-aided tomography was used to examine 449 patients suffering from epileptic attacks. In patients with setting in epileptic attacks, computer-aided tomography has been shown to play a preventive role, contributing to early diagnosis of cerebral diseases, primarily tumors. Specification of the character of cerebral disease and morphological substrate of epileptic attacks makes it possible to prescribe adequate therapy. It is recommended that computer-aided tomography be performed in all the patients suffering from epileptic attacks.
