Presented data was gathered from a local rehabilitation & caring center in Ahwaz city, southwest Iran end-2017. Data was classified in the six sections upon two predictors i.e. years of imprisonments and Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) to predict three blood infectious diseases i.e. HIV-Aids, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), & Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). Each section jointly includes the following: tables of raw data, input data concerning false & true positive fractions (18 tables), scatter graph concerning false positive fractions (FPF) & true positive fractions (TPF) (6 graphs), and six ROC curves. The full access to data set is available at Mendeley data repository via doi:10.17632/6s9yzm7hr7.1.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between perfectionism and coping strategies in drug-dependent men. This study is a descriptive correlational study. METHODS: The statistical population of this study consisted of all drug-dependent men (n = 6237) in years 2010-2011, who were admitted to all self-referral rehabs in Kerman, Iran. From this statistical population, 361 individuals were selected using randomized cluster sampling. The measurement tools applied in this study were positive and negative perfectionism questionnaires (Terry-Short et al) and coping responses (Blinger and Moose). FINDINGS: The data was analyzed using statistical methods, Pearson Coefficient Correlation and multivariable regression inferential statistics. The results showed that there is a significant correlation between positive and negative perfectionism and problem-focused and emotion-focused coping strategies (P ≤ 0.010). CONCLUSION: The results of the current study show that positive and negative perfectionism predicts problem-focused and emotion-focused coping strategies for drug-dependent men.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to examine the effect of self-disclosure skill training on communication patterns of referred couples to counseling clinics in Bandar Abbas. METHODS: The applied research design was an experimental study using pre-test and post-test, which was performed on a population of all referred couples to counseling clinics in Bandar Abbas who were interested to participate in a self-disclosure training workshop in response to the announcement. This study was performed on 26 couples who were selected by simple, convenient sampling method; however, they were randomly assigned to the control and experiment groups. A pre-test was administrated before self-disclosure training. The applied instrument includes Christensen and Salavy's scale of communication patterns. Participants in the experiment group had six sessions of training workshop, each lasted for 90 min. After the intervention, both groups answered the questionnaire again. The collected data were analyzed with paired t-test and covariance statistics. RESULTS: The results showed that the intervention led to significant (p < 0.05) increase in mutual constructive communication pattern and a reduction in mutual avoidance, demand/withdraw, demanding man/withdrawing woman communication patterns. It was also found that the training was not effective on the communication pattern of demanding woman/withdrawing man. CONCLUSION: The training of simple, but important skills of self-disclosure can help couples to improve their communication and consequently improve their marital satisfaction.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between Spiritual Quotient parameters including understanding, life origin, and spiritual life and marital satisfaction of couples in Bandar Abbas City. METHODS: It is descriptive correlational study. 150 couples referred to consultancy centers of Bandar Abbas City were selected by accessible sampling method. We utilized Spiritual Quotient Questionnaire and Marriage Satisfaction Questionnaire (ENRICH) which both have high reliability and validity levels. We calculated men, women and couples' scores in the questionnaires. RESULTS: According to the findings; among all parameters of Spiritual Quotient, spiritual life had the strongest correlation with spiritual quotient (r=0.282 and r=0.277 for men and women; P<0.01 for both). Meanwhile, there were not any significant relationship between couples' understanding and origin of life and their marital satisfaction. CONCLUSION: Overall, we can conclude that training according to cultural conditions as well as promoting couples' spiritual quotient can be utilized to improve the quality of marital life of couples.-More studies should be conducted for further evaluation of the relationship between SQ and marital satisfaction. The results can be used for helping couples in increasing their marital satisfaction. DECLARATION OF INTEREST: None.
