RESUMEN

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic shows the increasing importance of determining the factors of the public perceptions of personal and societal risks. These perceptions can shape people's behaviors, which, in turn, alter the spread of a pandemic on the community level. However, previous research on risk communication was inconsistent, and little is known about the impact of timely warning messages on stakeholders' perceptions of public health emergencies. To address this theoretical gap, this study analyzes the survey data (N = 538) from Singapore to explore the main effect of information timeliness on the respondents' stakeholder perceptions. This effect is moderated by normative factors, including attention and threat perceptions. We find that the more timely the government updates the risk information, the more trustworthy the stakeholders appear in respondents' opinions. Such an effect is weakened when the pre-decision attention or the threat perception interacts with the predictor independently. However, this effect on stakeholder perceptions becomes stronger if both moderators interact with the information timeliness. That is, an appropriate combination of the information released by the government can effectively enhance the image of the stakeholders during the pandemic.

RESUMEN

The generation of synthetic data using physics-based modeling provides a solution to limited or lacking real-world training samples in deep learning methods for rapid quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (qMRI). However, synthetic data distribution differs from real-world data, especially under complex imaging conditions, resulting in gaps between domains and limited generalization performance in real scenarios. Recently, a single-shot qMRI method, multiple overlapping-echo detachment imaging (MOLED), was proposed, quantifying tissue transverse relaxation time (T2) in the order of milliseconds with the help of a trained network. Previous works leveraged a Bloch-based simulator to generate synthetic data for network training, which leaves the domain gap between synthetic and real-world scenarios and results in limited generalization. In this study, we proposed a T2 mapping method via MOLED from the perspective of domain adaptation, which obtained accurate mapping performance without real-label training and reduced the cost of sequence research at the same time. Experiments demonstrate that our method outshined in the restoration of MR anatomical structures.

RESUMEN

A novel anthracene-based tetraperimidine hexafluorophosphate 3 was prepared, and its structure was determined through X-ray analysis, HRMS as well as 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. In the cationic moiety of 3, two (N-ethylperimidinyl-C2H4)2NCH2- arms were attached to the 9- and 10-positions of anthracene. In addition, compound 3 was used as a chemosensor to research the ability to recognize Cr3+ through fluorescence and UV titrations, HRMS, as well as 1H NMR and IR spectroscopy. The results indicate that 3 is an effective chemosensor for Cr3+.

RESUMEN

Four bis-benzimidazolium salts, 1,4-bis[1'-(N-R-benzimidazoliumyl)methyl]-2,3,5,6-tetramethylbenzene 2X- (L 1 H 2 ·(PF 6 ) 2 : R = ethyl, X = PF6; L 2 H 2 ·Br 2 : R = picolyl, X = Br; L 3 H 2 ·Br 2 : R = benzyl, X = Br; and L 4 H 2 ·Br 2 : R = allyl, X = Br), and their three N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) Pd(II) and Ag(I) complexes, L 1 Pd 2 Cl 4 (1), L 2 Ag 2 Br 2 (2), and L 4 (AgBr) 2 (3), as well as one anionic complex L 3 H 2 ·(Ag 4 Br 8 ) 0.5 (4), have been synthesized and characterized. Complex 1 adopts a funnel-like type of structure, complex 2 adopts a cyclic structure, and complex 3 is an open structure. In the crystal packing of 1-4, one-dimensional polymeric chains and two-dimensional supramolecular layers are formed via intermolecular weak interactions, including hydrogen bonds, π-π interactions, and C-H···π contacts. The catalytic activities of NHC Pd(II) complex 1 in three types of C-C coupling reactions (Suzuki-Miyaura, Heck-Mizoroki, and Sonogashira reactions) were studied. The results show that this catalytic system is efficient for these C-C coupling reactions.
