RESUMEN

The current contribution aims to supplement a previous one by the author (2021) with information on new taxonomic changes in the systematics of genus Asclerobia, and to correct some diagnosis errors. Two new species-group taxa are established as synonyms: Asclerobia flavitinctella (Ragonot, 1893) = Salebria tchahabarella Amsel, 1950 syn. nov., and Asclerobia sinensis (Caradja in Caradja & Meyrick, 1937) = Etiella yangtseella Caradja, 1939 syn. nov. The hitherto unknown female genitalia of Asclerobia flavitinctella are described, and the improved diagnosis of this species as well as Asclerobia sinensis are given. The updated keys based on external features and genitalia of both sexes, as well as a revised distribution map for Asclerobia species are provided.

RESUMEN

A list of 41 species of Crambidae and Pyralidae families recorded from different regions of Ukraine for the first time is given. Two species are found in Ukraine for the first time: Pyralis cardinalis Kaila, Huemer, Mutanen, Tyllinen Wikstrm, 2020 and Euclasta splendidalis (Herrich-Schffer, 1848), and two species are found in continental Ukraine for the first time: Diasemiopsis ramburialis (Duponchel, 1833) and Spoladea recurvalis (Fabricius, 1775). The hitherto unknown female genitalia of Bradyrrhoa imperialella (Ragonot, 1887) are described and the differences of external characters between females of B. imperialella and B. gilveolella (Treitschke, 1833) are briefly discussed. A brief note on the distribution of twin species Elegia atrifasciella Ragonot, 1887 and E. fallax (Staudinger, 1881) and Delplanqueia inscriptella (Duponchel, 1837) and D. dilutella ([Denis Schiffermller], 1775) in Ukraine is given.

RESUMEN

The taxonomy of several Ancylosis species is revised. Four new synonyms are established: Ancylosis brunneonervella Roesler, 1970 syn. nov. of Ancylosis albicosta (Staudinger, 1870); Ancylosis psammicola (Roesler, 1970) syn. nov. of Ancylosis leucocephala (Staudinger, 1879); Ancylosis unicolorella (Roesler, 1970) syn. nov. of Ancylosis pallida (Staudinger, 1870). The following taxa are re-instated as separate species: Ancylosis delicatella (Möschler, 1860) spec. rev., stat. nov. and Ancylosis ciliatella (Zeller, 1872) spec. rev., stat. nov. are taken out from synonymy with Ancylosis rhodochrella (Herrich-Schäffer, 1852); Ancylosis deliciosella (Caradja, 1910) spec. rev., stat. nov. is taken out from synonymy with Ancylosis hellenica (Staudinger, 1870); Ancylosis macedonica (Schawerda, 1937) spec. rev., stat. nov. is taken out from synonymy with Ancylosis muliebris (Meyrick, 1937). Heterographis costalbella Amsel, 1954-the junior homonym of Heterographis costalbella Mabille, 1906, is taken out from synonymy with Ancylosis syrtella (Ragonot, 1887) and re-instated as separate species under replacement name Ancylosis amseli Yepishin, 2020 nom. nov. Ancylosis ciliella (Amsel, 1961) syn. nov. is transferred from synonymy with A. rhodochrella to synonymy with A. delicatella. Female genitalia of A. amseli and A. delicatella as well as male genitalia of A. deliciosella and genitalia of both sexes of A. ciliatella are described for the first time. Ancylosis deliciosella is recorded as new for Iran, A. delicatella-for Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Ancylosis rhodochrella (Herrich-Schäffer, 1852)-for Georgia, Ancylosis larissae Bidzilya, Budashkin Yepishin, 2019-for Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Afghanistan, Mongolia and China, and Ancylosis yerburii (Butler, 1884) is new for Russia and Kazakhstan.

RESUMEN

A list of seventeen rare and little known species of Crambidae and Pyralidae from Ukraine is given. Hyperlais claralis (Caradja, 1916) stat. rev., comb. nov. is recorded for the first time for Europe. Five species are found in Ukraine for the first time: H. claralis, Titanio ledereri (Staudinger, 1870), Lambaesia pistrinariella (Ragonot, 1887), Gymnancyla gilvella (Ragonot, 1887) and Sciota lucipetella (Jalava, 1978). Two neglected European species-Lambaesia pistrinariella and Ancylosis monella (Roesler, 1973), are confirmed to occur in Europe. The lectotype of L. pistrinariella is designated and the species is recorded for the first time from Russia. The hitherto unknown females of H. claralis and L. pistrinariella are described. The differences between H. claralis and other related Hyperlais-species are briefly discussed. The adults and the genitalia of H. claralis, H. dulcinalis (Treitschke, 1835), Udea institalis (Hübner, 1819), A. monella, L. pistrinariella, Bradyrrhoa confiniella (Zeller, 1848), B. imperialella (Ragonot, 1887) and G. gilvella are illustrated. The biology of Loxostege clathralis (Hübner, 1813), Epischidia fulvostrigella (Eversmann, 1844), B. imperialella and Pempeliella bulgarica Slamka Plant, 2016 is described based on observation by the third author in Crimea. Salicornia perenanns Willd. is recorded as a new host plant for G. gilvella and Halocnemum strobilaceum (Pall.) M. Bieb.-as a new host plant for E. fulvostrigella. Epischidia caesariella (Hampson in Ragonot Hampson, 1901) and Pempeliella sororiella (Zeller, 1839) are removed from the list of Pyralidae of Ukraine due to misidentification.

RESUMEN

Nine species of Ancylosis are recorded from Ukraine. Ancylosis larissae sp. nov. related to A. hellenica (Staudinger, 1870) and A. rhodochrella (Herrich-Schäffer, 1852), is described from Crimea. Ancylosis albicosta (Staudinger, 1870) is reported from Ukraine for the first time. Ancylosis albidella Ragonot, 1888, A. syrtella (Ragonot, 1887), A. rhodochrella, A. harmoniella (Ragonot, 1887) and A. monella Roesler, 1973 are removed from the list of Pyralidae of Ukraine due to misidentifications. The host plants for A. sareptalla (Herrich-Schäffer, 1861) and A. substratellum (Christoph, 1877) comb. nov. are recorded for the first time. New host plant is recorded for A. roscidella (Eversmann, 1844). The diagnoses for all species known from Ukraine are provided. The adults and genitalia of both sexes are illustrated for all Ukrainian species and some closely related species from adjacent territories. A key to the species is given based on external characters and the genitalia of both sexes. The female genitalia of A. deserticola (Staudinger, 1870), A. hellenica (Staudinger, 1870), A. sabulosella (Staudinger, 1879) as well as the male genitalia of A. pallida (Staudinger, 1870) are described and illustrated as they have been dealt incorrectly in literature. The status of A. albidella and the records of this species from Europe are discussed. The new synonymy is proposed: Ancylosoma Roesler, 1973 syn. nov. of Ancylosis Zeller, 1839 and A. sareptalla gulbaharensis Roesler, 1973 syn. nov. of A. sareptalla (Herrich-Schäffer, 1861). Ancylosis decolorella (Ragonot Hampson, 1901) spec. rev., stat. nov. is taken out from synonymy with A. sabulosella. The lectotype of Myelois deserticola Staudinger, 1870 is designated.
