Background: Previous studies have shown that MCM3 plays a key role in initiating DNA replication. However, the mechanism of MCM3 function in most cancers is still unknown. The aim of our study was to explore the expression, prognostic role, and immunological characteristics of MCM3 across cancers. Methods: We explored the expression pattern of MCM3 across cancers. We subsequently explored the prognostic value of MCM3 expression by using univariate Cox regression analysis. Spearman correlation analysis was performed to determine the correlations between MCM3 and immune-related characteristics, mismatching repair (MMR) signatures, RNA modulator genes, cancer stemness, programmed cell death (PCD) gene expression, tumour mutation burden (TMB), microsatellite instability (MSI), and neoantigen levels. The role of MCM3 in predicting the response to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy was further evaluated in four immunotherapy cohorts. Single-cell data from CancerSEA were analysed to assess the biological functions associated with MCM3 in 14 cancers. The clinical correlation and independent prognostic significance of MCM3 were further analysed in the TCGA and CGGA lower-grade glioma (LGG) cohorts, and a prognostic nomogram was constructed. Immunohistochemistry in a clinical cohort was utilized to validate the prognostic utility of MCM3 expression in LGG. Results: MCM3 expression was upregulated in most tumours and strongly associated with patient outcomes in many cancers. Correlation analyses demonstrated that MCM3 expression was closely linked to immune cell infiltration, immune checkpoints, MMR genes, RNA modulator genes, cancer stemness, PCD genes and the TMB in most tumours. There was an obvious difference in outcomes between patients with high MCM3 expression and those with low MCM3 expression in the 4 ICB treatment cohorts. Single-cell analysis indicated that MCM3 was mainly linked to the cell cycle, DNA damage and DNA repair. The expression of MCM3 was associated with the clinical features of LGG patients and was an independent prognostic indicator. Finally, the prognostic significance of MCM3 in LGG was validated in a clinical cohort. Conclusion: Our study suggested that MCM3 can be used as a potential prognostic marker for cancers and may be associated with tumour immunity. In addition, MCM3 is a promising predictor of immunotherapy responses.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between IGF2BP3 gene expression and prognosis in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). METHODS: High throughput transcriptome sequencing was performed on bone marrow primary leukemia cells from 27 patients with AML in our center, the relationship between IGF2BP3 expression levels and clinical characteristics were analyzed and verify the samples from patients with newly treated AML and refractory AML. The expression level of IGF2BP3 gene were analyzed in 20 healthy subjects and 26 patients with AML. The expression of IGF2BP3 in two anthracycline-resistant cell lines (HL60/ADR, K562/ADR) was detected by RT-qPCR and Western blot, and the expression difference of IGF2BP3 was compared with that in sensitive cells (HL60, K562). The relationship between the expression level of IGF2BP3 in patients with AML and prognostic were analyzed through data analysis of 746 patients with AML, and the prognostic value of IGF2BP3 in AML was analyzed by multivariate Cox regression analysis. RESULTS: In the bone marrow primary leukemia cells of 27 AML patients in our center, the expression level of IGF2BP3 in patients with refractory AML was significantly higher than that in chemotherapy sensitive patients (P =0.0343). The expression of IGF2BP3 in leukemia patients with extramedullary infiltration (EMI) was significantly higher than that in AML patients without extramedullary infiltration (P =0.0049). Compared with healthy subjects (n=20), IGF2BP3 expression in AML patients (n=26) was higher (P =0.0009). The expression of IGF2BP3 mRNA in the anthracycline resistant cell lines (HL60/ADR, K562/ADR) was significantly higher than that in the sensitive cell lines (K562/ADR vs K562,P =0.0430; HL60/ADR vs HL60, P =0.7369). Western blot results showed that the expression of IGF2BP3 protein in mycin resistant cells was significantly higher than that in sensitive cells (P < 0.001). qPCR results showed that the expression level of IGF2BP3 mRNA in refractory AML patients was significantly higher than that in patients with chemotherapy sensitive (P =0.002). High expression of IGF2BP3 was associated with poor prognosis in AML (P < 0.05) in 3 large sample cohorts of AML patients. Univariate and multivariate prognostic analyses demonstrated that high expression of IGF2BP3 was significantly associated with shorter event-free survival (EFS, HR=1.887, P =0.024) and overall survival (OS, HR=1.619, P =0.016). CONCLUSION: The high expression of IGF2BP3 gene may be an important factor in the poor prognosis of AML, suggesting that IGF2BP3 gene may be a new molecular marker for the clinical prognosis evaluation and treatment strategy of AML.

BACKGROUND: Lysine glutarylation (Kglu) is one of the most important Post-translational modifications (PTMs), which plays significant roles in various cellular functions, including metabolism, mitochondrial processes, and translation. Therefore, accurate identification of the Kglu site is important for elucidating protein molecular function. Due to the time-consuming and expensive limitations of traditional biological experiments, computational-based Kglu site prediction research is gaining more and more attention. RESULTS: In this paper, we proposed GBDT_KgluSite, a novel Kglu site prediction model based on GBDT and appropriate feature combinations, which achieved satisfactory performance. Specifically, seven features including sequence-based features, physicochemical property-based features, structural-based features, and evolutionary-derived features were used to characterize proteins. NearMiss-3 and Elastic Net were applied to address data imbalance and feature redundancy issues, respectively. The experimental results show that GBDT_KgluSite has good robustness and generalization ability, with accuracy and AUC values of 93.73%, and 98.14% on five-fold cross-validation as well as 90.11%, and 96.75% on the independent test dataset, respectively. CONCLUSION: GBDT_KgluSite is an effective computational method for identifying Kglu sites in protein sequences. It has good stability and generalization ability and could be useful for the identification of new Kglu sites in the future. Mutations in LRRK2 (encoding leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 protein, LRRK2) are the most common genetic risk factors for Parkinson's disease (PD), and increased LRRK2 kinase activity was observed in sporadic PD. Therefore, inhibition of LRRK2 has been tested as a disease-modifying therapeutic strategy using the LRRK2 mutant mice and sporadic PD. Here, we report a newly designed molecule, FL090, as a LRRK2 kinase inhibitor, verified in cell culture and animal models of PD. Using the 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine mice and SNCA A53T transgenic mice, FL090 ameliorated motor dysfunctions, reduced LRRK2 kinase activity, and rescued loss in the dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra. Notably, by RNA-Seq analysis, we identified microtubule-associated protein 1 (MAP1B) as a crucial mediator of FL090's neuroprotective effects and found that MAP1B and LRRK2 co-localize. Overexpression of MAP1B rescued 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium induced cytotoxicity through rescuing the lysosomal function, and the protective effect of FL090 was lost in MAP1B knockout cells. Further studies may be focused on the in vivo mechanisms of MAP1B and microtubule function in PD. Collectively, these findings highlight the potential of FL090 as a therapeutic agent for sporadic PD and familial PD without LRRK2 mutations.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Dexmedetomidine (DEX) is widely used in clinical sedation which has little effect on cardiopulmonary inhibition, however the mechanism remains to be elucidated. The basal forebrain (BF) is a key nucleus that controls sleep-wake cycle. The horizontal limbs of diagonal bundle (HDB) is one subregions of the BF. The purpose of this study was to examine whether the possible mechanism of DEX is through the α2 adrenergic receptor of BF (HDB). METHODS: In this study, we investigated the effects of DEX on the BF (HDB) by using whole cell patch clamp recordings. The threshold stimulus intensity, the inter-spike-intervals (ISIs) and the frequency of action potential firing in the BF (HDB) neurons were recorded by application of DEX (2 µM) and co-application of a α2 adrenergic receptor antagonist phentolamine (PHEN) (10 µM). RESULTS: DEX (2 µM) increased the threshold stimulus intensity, inhibited the frequency of action potential firing and enlarged the inter-spike-interval (ISI) in the BF (HDB) neurons. These effects were reversed by co-application of PHEN (10 µM). CONCLUSION: Taken together, our findings revealed DEX decreased the discharge activity of BF (HDB) neuron via α2 adrenergic receptors.

Recently, the major challenge in treating osteosarcoma patients is the metastatic disease, most commonly in the lungs. However, the underlying mechanism of recurrence and metastasis of osteosarcoma after surgical resection of primary tumor remains unclear. This study aims to investigate whether the pulmonary metastases characteristic of osteosarcoma is associated with surgical treatment and whether surgery contributes to the formation of pre-metastatic niche in the distant lung tissue. In the current study, the authors observe the presence of circulating tumor cells in patients undergoing surgical resection of osteosarcoma which is correlated to tumor recurrence. The pulmonary infiltrations of neutrophils and Gr-1+ myeloid cells are characterized to form a pre-metastatic niche upon the exposure of circulating tumor cells after surgical resection. It is found that mitochondrial damage-associated molecular patterns released from surgical resection contribute to the formation of pre-metastatic niche in lung through IL-1ß secretion. This study reveals that surgical management for osteosarcoma, irrespective of the primary tumor, might promote the formation of postoperative pre-metastatic niche in lung which is with important implications for developing rational therapies during peri-operative period.

OBJECTIVES: With the characteristics of mindfulness and breathing techniques, Tai Chi has been recommended with therapeutic values in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, its strengths as a complementary exercise for conventional pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) remain unclear. DESIGN AND SETTING: This single-blinded randomised controlled trial recruited patients with mild to severe stable COPD. Eligible participants were randomly assigned to the group with usual care (control), total body recumbent stepper (TBRS) exercise, Tai Chi (TC), or combined TBRS exercise and Tai Chi (TBRS-TC). Patients received a two-month hospital-based supervised exercise, followed by a ten-month community- or home-based rehabilitation program. RESULTS: A total of 120 participants were recruited, and 102 were included in the per-protocol analysis. The mean changes in St George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) total score from baseline to the post-hospital exercise in the control group, TBRS group, TC group, and TBRS-TC group was 2.62 (95 % CI -8.99 to 8.99), -9.28 (95 % CI -13.96 to -4.60), -10.19 (95 % CI -13.72 to -6.67), and -16.75 (95 % CI -20.25 to -13.24), respectively, with a statistically significant difference between groups in favor of the TBRS-TC exercise (P < 0.001). The remarkable effect of TBRS-TC exercise in improving the quality of life maintained until the end of the community- or home-based rehabilitation training (P < 0.001). Besides, a statistically better effect with the TBRS-TC exercise was also observed in the outcomes regarding exercise capacity, pulmonary function, symptom burden, and systemic inflammation after the whole process of 12-month integrative PR exercise programme. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the results, a novel integrated exercise modality combining Tai Chi and conventional pulmonary rehabilitation was developed. It might contribute to more positive effects in patients with stable COPD. REGISTRATION: The study was registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR-IOR-15006874) prior to commencing recruitment.

Objectives: To describe the demographics and phenotypes of malignancies-associated dermatomyositis (MADM) in east China and pinpoint potential factors indicative of malignancies in patients with dermatomyositis and establish a predictive model. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed clinical data from 134 patients with adult-onset dermatomyositis hospitalized between January 2019 and May 2022 in one comprehensive hospital. Clinical data including disease course, initial symptoms and signs, and demographic information were retrieved from the Electronic Medical Records System. Other parameters including myositis-specific autoantibodies profiles, ferritin, sedimentation, etc. were all referable. Multivariable multinomial logistic regression was employed to simulate a model to predict cancer risks. Receiver operating characteristic curve was adopted to evaluate the potency of the model. Results: 134 patients with adult-onset dermatomyositis were aptly enrolled in this study based on inclusive and exclusive criteria: 12 (8.96%) with malignancies, 57 (42.53%) with aberrant tumor biomarkers but no malignancies, 65 (48.51%) with neither malignancies nor abnormal tumor biomarkers. Senior diagnostic age, higher LDH, higher ferritin, positive anti-TIF1γ and anti-Mi2 rather than anti-NXP2 autoantibodies were positive indicators of malignancies. Additionally, neither initial complaints nor signs were found to be correlated to a tendency towards malignancies. Digestive system, nasopharyngeal, and lung malignancies were mostly documented in east China. One multivariable multinomial logistic regression model was established to predict the phenotypes of dermatomyositis on the basis of potential malignancies and the overall sensitivity and specificity was satisfactory. Conclusion: Positivity of anti-TIF1γ and anti-Mi2 autoantibodies are highly indicative of malignancies while the role of anti-NXP2 autoantibody in MADM in the Chinese population remains unclear. The phenotypes of malignancies can be predicted through the model and the predictive power is sufficient. More attention should be paid to malignancies screening in patients with aberrant tumor biomarkers but no malignancies, particularly digestive system, nasopharyngeal, and lung malignancies in patients with dermatomyositis but without malignancies.

Background: The long-term overall survival of children with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is limited to approximately 80-85% because of a high incidence of relapse after achieving remission with intensive chemotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Novel treatment strategies inducing long-term remission are needed to improve the outcome. Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis) have been reported to be effective in a series of T-ALL cases. Preclinical studies suggested that T-ALL cells are sensitive to Chidamide, which is a selective HDACi. Methods: This preliminary clinical study evaluated the efficacy and safety of Chidamide in combination with chemotherapy or post-HSCT for children with T-ALL at a dose of 0.5 mg/kg weight of patient twice per week for at least 6 months. Results: In total, 27 children with a mean age of 7.88 years were included. The high-risk proportion was 66.7%. After a median follow-up period of 37.8 months (9.5-67.9 months), the overall survival and event-free survival in the patients treated with Chidamide were 94.1 and 95.2%, respectively. All patients except two maintained persistent remission with <0.01% blast cells in minimal residual disease. Conclusion: The combination therapy with Chidamide in a case series of T-ALL shows the promising clinical efficacy and good safety in children. OBJECTIVE: Arthroscopic release is effective for patients with shoulder stiffness, but the traditional inside-out procedure cannot effectively alleviate the mobility of some severe stiff shoulder and even cause itrogenic injuries sometimes. The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and advantages of a modified outside-in shoulder release approach for severe shoulder stiffness. METHODS: Included in this retrospective study were 15 patients (five male and 10 female) with severe shoulder stiffness who underwent modified outside-in shoulder release surgery at our hospital between June 2019 and March 2021. Of them, 10 patients had a primary frozen shoulder and five had secondary shoulder stiffness, involving the right shoulder in six cases and the left shoulder in nine cases. The mean age of the 15 patients was 56.7 (34-69) years. The patients were instructed to exercise passively from second-day post-operation and enhance the rehabilitation exercise gradually. All patients received a range of motion (ROM) examination before and after surgery. The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon's Score (ASES), Constant Score (CS), and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score for pain were recorded. All data were tested by normal distribution first and then by paired T test, otherwise by Wilcoxon rank sum test. RESULTS: The mean follow-up period was 18.2 (12-33) months. Compared with the preoperative value, the mean ASES score at the final follow-up improved from 38.4 ± 7.37 to 88.13 ± 6.33 points; the mean CS score from 43.27 ± 6.71 to 78.74 ± 6.93 points; the mean VAS score from 5.07 ± 1.03 to 0.81 ± 0.83 points; forward flexion from 81.93° ± 11.45° to 156.73° ± 9.12°; abduction from 65.93° ± 16.82° to 144.80° ± 8.83°; neutral external rotation from 13.53° ± 10.38° to 51.20° ± 4.77°; internal rotation from the buttock to waist (L3), all showing a significant difference (P < 0.0001). No serious complication was observed in any patient during the postoperative follow-up periods. CONCLUSION: The present study has demonstrated that the modified arthroscopic outside-in shoulder release approach can improve ROM of patients and alleviate pain effectively, proving it to be an appropriate surgical option for the treatment of severe shoulder stiffness.

The extraordinary advantages associated with mRNA vaccines, including their high efficiency, relatively low severity of side effects, and ease of manufacture, have enabled them to be a promising immunotherapy approach against various infectious diseases and cancers. Nevertheless, most mRNA delivery carriers have many disadvantages, such as high toxicity, poor biocompatibility, and low efficiency in vivo, which have hindered the widespread use of mRNA vaccines. To further characterize and solve these problems and develop a new type of safe and efficient mRNA delivery carrier, a negatively charged SA@DOTAP-mRNA nanovaccine was prepared in this study by coating DOTAP-mRNA with the natural anionic polymer sodium alginate (SA). Intriguingly, the transfection efficiency of SA@DOTAP-mRNA was significantly higher than that of DOTAP-mRNA, which was not due to the increase in cellular uptake but was associated with changes in the endocytosis pathway and the strong lysosome escape ability of SA@DOTAP-mRNA. In addition, we found that SA significantly increased the expression of LUC-mRNA in mice and achieved certain spleen targeting. Finally, we confirmed that SA@DOTAP-mRNA had a stronger antigen-presenting ability in E. G7-OVA tumor-bearing mice, dramatically inducing the proliferation of OVA-specific CLTs and ameliorating the antitumor effect. Therefore, we firmly believe that the coating strategy applied to cationic liposome/mRNA complexes is of potential research value in the field of mRNA delivery and has promising clinical application prospects.

Objective To investigate the clinical curative effect of Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction in the treatment of stable angina pectoris(SAP)with internal resistance of phlegm and turbidity and its effect on gut microbiota.Methods The clinical data of 72 cases of SAP patients with phlegm turbidity and internal resistance type in our hospital were selected for prospective study,sorted according to the order of admission,and divided into control group and observer by random number table method,with 36 cases in each group.The control group was given standardized western medicine treatment,and the observation group was given the addition of Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy and gut microbiota composition of the two groups of patients were compared.Results After treatment,the clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the ECG efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).Based on 16S rDNA technology,at the phylum and genus levels,there was no difference in the abundance of Bacteroidota,Bacteroides and Faecalibacterium(P>0.05).After treatment,the abundance of Bacteroidota in the observation group increased more significantly than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of SAP patients with phlegm-turbid internal resistance by regulating gut microbiota,which provides new inspiration for the further development of Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction.

The abnormal activation of HER family kinase activity is closely related to the development of human malignancies. In this study, we used HER kinases as targets for the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and explored the anti-tumor effects of the novel pan-HER inhibitor HM781-36B, alone or in combination with cisplatin. We found that HER family proteins were positively expressed in tumor tissues of some NPC patients, and the high levels of those proteins were significantly related to poor prognosis. HM781-36B inhibited NPC in vitro and in vivo. HM781-36B exerted synergistic effects with cisplatin on inhibiting proliferation and promoting apoptosis of NPC cells. In NPC xenograft models in nude mice, HM781-36B and cisplatin synergistically inhibited tumor growth. Downregulating the activity of HER family proteins and their downstream signaling pathways and regulating tumor microenvironment may explain the synergistic anti-tumor effects of HM781-36B and cisplatin. In conclusion, our study provides evidence for HER family proteins as prognostic biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets for NPC. The pan-HER inhibitor HM781-36B alone or in combination with cisplatin represents promising therapeutic effects for the treatment of NPC patients, which provides a new idea for the comprehensive treatment of NPC.

BACKGROUND: Umbilical cord blood transplantation (UCBT) from unrelated donors is one of the successful treatments for acute leukemia in childhood. The most frequent side effect of UCBT is peri-engraftment syndrome (PES), which is directly associated with the greater prevalence of acute and chronic graft-versus-host-disease (aGvHD and cGvHD). In haploidentical stem cell transplantation, posttransplant cyclophosphamide (PTCY) has been demonstrated to be an effective method against GvHD. However, the effects of PTCY as a GvHD prophylactic in UCBT had not been investigated. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of PTCY on the outcomes of UCBT for pediatric acute leukemia. METHODS: This retrospective study included 52 children with acute leukemia who underwent unrelated single-unit UCBT after myeloablative conditioning regimens. The results from the PTCY and non-PTCY groups were compared. RESULTS: The incidence of transplantation-related mortality in non-PTCY and PTCY were 5% and 10% (p = 0.525), respectively. The incidence of relapse in non-PTCY and PTCY were 5% and 23% (p = 0.095), respectively. Second complete remission status (CR2) was an independent risk factor for relapse-free survival (hazard ratio = 9.782, p = 0.001). The odds ratio for sepsis or bacteremia incidence was significantly greater in the PTCY group (9.524, p = 0.017). PTCY group had increased rates of cytomegalovirus activity and fungal infection. The incidence of PES, aGvHD, cGvHD, and hemorrhagic cystitis in the PTCY group was lower than that in the non-PTCY group, although it was not significantly different. Additionally, higher doses of PTCY (29 mg/kg and 40 mg/kg) were associated with lower incidences of aGvHD and severe GvHD (65% and 29%, respectively) than lower doses (93% and 57%, respectively). Engraftment time and graft failure incidence were similar across groups. CONCLUSION: The results support the safety and efficiency of PTCY as part of PES controlling and GvHD prophylaxis in single-unit UCBT for children with acute leukemia. A PTCY dosage of 29 mg/kg to 40 mg/kg appears to be more effective in GvHD prophylaxis for UCBT patients.

RESUMEN

With the rapid development of modern biomedical technology industry, background and knowledge of a single discipline will not be adequate to meet the needs of research and development of cutting-edge technology. The cultivation of innovative research talents with interdisciplinary background at the undergraduate level poses great challenges for higher education institutions. National-level research institutes, including state key laboratories and national clinical research centers, for example, have an enormous supply of technological human resources and resources for research and teaching, which is of critical importance for the training of innovative talents at the undergraduate level. Herein, taking as an example the West China Innovation Class of State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, a special undergraduate program founded by the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, Sichuan University in 2016, we reported on the explorations and practices of a new model for cultivating innovative research talents at the undergraduate level. The new model features the leadership of a national-level research institute and an interdisciplinary approach.

AIM: To evaluate the effects of virtual reality (VR) training on different parameters of vision. METHODS: Sixty individuals ranged 18-60 years old with asthenopia were randomly divided into short-term (n=40) and long-term (n=20) treatment groups. They were given a specially designed VR training device only once for 15min or 3-4 times a day for 15min each time for 1mo. The visual acuity, spherical equivalent, accommodative range, accommodative facility, pupil size, and visual fatigue were evaluated before (control) and after VR training. RESULTS: The visual acuity, accommodative range, and accommodative facility increased in subjects of the short-term treatment group, whereas their pupil size contracted significantly. No significant changes in spherical equivalent and visual fatigue were observed. The changes in distant vision and corrected visual acuity were positively correlated with those in pupil size, but not with spherical equivalent. The accommodative range and accommodative facility improved significantly in subjects of the long-term treatment group. No significant changes in visual acuity, spherical equivalent, pupil size, and visual fatigue were noted. CONCLUSION: VR training can improve the accommodative range and accommodative facility of human eyes. Although short-term VR training can transiently improve vision, which probably due to bright light adaptation, there is no evidence that it can improve myopia.

Immunotherapies like the adoptive transfer of gene-engineered T cells and immune checkpoint inhibitors are novel therapeutic modalities for advanced cancers. However, some patients are refractory or resistant to these therapies, and the mechanisms underlying tumor immune resistance have not been fully elucidated. Immunosuppressive cells such as myeloid-derived suppressive cells, tumor-associated macrophages, tumor-associated neutrophils, regulatory T cells (Tregs), and tumor-associated dendritic cells are critical factors correlated with immune resistance. In addition, cytokines and factors secreted by tumor cells or these immunosuppressive cells also mediate the tumor progression and immune escape of cancers. Thus, targeting these immunosuppressive cells and the related signals is the promising therapy to improve the efficacy of immunotherapies and reverse the immune resistance. However, even with certain success in preclinical studies or in some specific types of cancer, large perspectives are unknown for these immunosuppressive cells, and the related therapies have undesirable outcomes for clinical patients. In this review, we comprehensively summarized the phenotype, function, and potential therapeutic targets of these immunosuppressive cells in the tumor microenvironment.
