RESUMEN
The favorable response to ethambutol in 30 out of 34 patients with different forms of active tuberculosis infection shows the value of this drug as another chemotherapeutic agent against tuberculosis in children. The rapidity of the response and the absence of toxic reactions further increase the value of this drug. The failure in the other 4 patients stresses the importance of segregation from open cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and the need for a continous and adequate administration of the drug.(Summary)
