RESUMEN
In 150 patients with esophagitis the acidproducing gastric function was studied using intragastric pH-metry method with estimation of each phase of secretion. In 50% of patients normochlorhydria was revealed, in 34.7%-the humoral digestional phase have predominated. The trust-worthy causation between the hydrogen ion concentration in stomach and the peptic esophagitis severity was not established. It is mandatory to assign an acid-base-peptic factor of the gastric juice aggressiveness on esophageal mucosa.
