RESUMEN

UNLABELLED: The authors present a case where the main variants of the humerus were associated on the same specimen: the supracondylar process and the supratrochlear foramen. The supracondylar process, a bony prominence situated on the anteromedial surface of the humerus in the vicinity of the medial epicondyle, could be at the origin of ulnar or median nerve and brachial artery compression syndromes, especially when associated with Struthers' ligament. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The anatomic specimen was discovered accidentally during a larger study aimed at establishing a current norma anatomica and morphometry of the humerus. The supracondylar process and the supratrochlear foramen were morphologically and morphometrically analyzed. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The supracondylar process was situated on the anteromedial surface of a left humerus, roughly 5 cm above the medial epicondyle. It was 12.4 mm in length, mediodistally directed. The supratrochlear foramen was situated above the lateral part of the humeral trochlea, just adjacent to the middle branch of trifurcation of the anterior border of the humerus. It was ovoid in shape with the long axis transversally (6.3/3.7 mm). CONCLUSIONS: Presentation of such variants contributes to increasing the anatomical data capital and might be important for diagnosis of peripheral neurovascular compression syndromes.

RESUMEN

The study was performed on 120 cases, and evaluated the origin, caliber at the origin, course, place of termination and distribution of the inferior suprarenal arteries, together with their point of entry into the glandular parenchyma. Most often, the inferior suprarenal artery originated from the trunk of the renal artery, prior to its terminal division. Other possible origins were: as a terminal branch of the renal artery, from one of the terminal branches of the renal artery (most often from the anterior division and rarely from the posterior one), as a common trunk with the superior polar renal artery, from a supplementary renal artery (more often from the superior and rarely from the inferior one), directly from the aorta, either as an individual branch, as a common trunk with the superior polar renal artery or as a common trunk with the middle suprarenal artery. Rarely the inferior suprarenal artery may originate from the genital artery or, also very rarely, from the celiac trunk, either individually or as a common trunk with the middle suprarenal artery. Usually, the inferior suprarenal arteries originating from the aorta or the renal artery have a larger caliber than those from other arterial sources. Most often, we found two or three arterial branches as inferior suprarenal arteries, so we may speak of inferior suprarenal arteries or an inferior suprarenal arterial pedicle.

RESUMEN

Hepatic artera takes part to the greater omentum vascularization by the right gastroomental artera (most frequently as a branch of the gastroduodenal artera). The investigations on 100 anatomical specimens from adult subjects revealed a mean value of the artera length of 19.30 cm and a diameter of 1.5-3 mm. The lienal artera participates to the greater omentum vascularization by the left gastroomental artera (with a mean length of 10-18 cm and a diameter of 1.5-2.0 +/- 0.3 mm. The arterial arch of the large gastric curvature has a length of 45 +/- 5 cm; the functional anastomotic point is localized at 10-15 cm left size reported to the median line of the large curvature.

RESUMEN

The paper presents a study of the evolutional morphogenetic stages of the lymphatic and conjunctive neck structures formation. The authors make particular appreciations concerning the pattern of organization and also, the functional connections of lymphatic and conjunctive elements at intravisceral, perivisceral and perivascular level. Our study proves that these structures form the barriers but also, the spread pathways of the tumoral and inflammatory process which, after an endocavitary development, diffuse either on the adjacent organs or to the main cervical lymph nodes. We emphasized the importance of these anatomical structures in the neck oncological surgery.

RESUMEN

Tele-encephalization process is accompanied by the appearance and progressive complication of the middle cerebral artery system. The aim of our study is to analyze the morphometrical parameters of the middle cerebral artery branches in the beginning of the edification of its system. We used 162 cerebral hemispheres from 88 fetuses aged of 13-15 weeks. Middle cerebral artery system was injected with a gelatin-China ink mixture and images recorded by means of a Zeiss surgical microscope. Parameters evaluation (length, proximal and distal diameters, external surface, volume, angles of bifurcation) was realized with KS-300 program. At this early age middle cerebral artery system has only 4-5 generations of branches usually resulting from acute angle bifurcations.

RESUMEN

Edification of neocortex is accompanied by the development and growth of the cerebral hemisphere, both processes being part of the more complex one, known under the name of telencephalization. The expression of this process is more acute on the superolateral surface of the cerebral hemisphere that expands laterally by growth of the frontal, temporal and parietal lobes. We describe the modifications of shape and deepness of the lateral cerebral fossa including the stages of its closure. We consider this event as the beginning of the appearance of gyri and sulci on the superolateral surface of the cerebral hemisphere.

RESUMEN

Presentation of a case of dicephalic conjoined twins, rare malformation with an incidence of 1:50000. Before dissection, the specimen was investigated by CT, x-ray and ultrasound. Dissection was performed under Zeiss surgical microscope and the images were taken with a Sony video line. Specimens for histologic examination were collected. The parents refused genetic examination. The complex study of the specimen allowed us to make the following diagnosis: dicephalus dibrahii dipus conjoined twins. In the past 20 years no such case was reported in Romania. An etiological diagnosis is impossible. Embryologically, we support the fusion theory (Winslow) promoted by O'Rahily (1998): gemellarity disturbance during the first week of pregnancy.
