RESUMEN
The synthesis of 1-phenyl-5,8-dimethyl-1,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-pyrazolo[3,4-e][1,4] diazepin-4,7-dione and of 1-phenyl-3,5,8-trimethyl-1,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-pyrazolo[3,4-e] [1,4]diazepin-4,7-dione is described. These compounds exhibit activity on CNS in animals.

The nor-kaurane diterpene Atractyliretin was obtained by acid hydrolysis of Atractyloside, a toxic substance isolated from ATRACTYLIS GUMMIFERA L (Compositae). On the basis of spectral (IR, (1)H-NMR, (13)C-NMR and MS) analysis and chemical degradation its structure and stereochemistry was identified as 4.
RESUMEN
Novel N-pyrazolyl-2-nitrobenzamides variously substituted on the pyrazole nucleus were prepared. The products obtained together with some other N-substituted 2-nitrobenzamides were tested for their antifungal activity against Cryptococcus neoformans and Candida albicans. The results of the antimicrobial assay showed different behaviours of the organisms used with regard to the derivatives tested.
