RESUMEN

On the basis of complex approach to bone and haematopoetic tissue interaction the authors studied the influence of low weight metabolites on stromal fibroblasts and components of extacellular matrix of bone and skin (collagen and glycosaminoglycans). Specificity of different metabolites action on physico-chemical abilities of type I collagen, amino acid composition changes, surface charge, ratio of alpha- and beta-compounds, BrCN-fragments of alpha-1 component cross-links was shown. The dose dependence of formiate effect on processes of proteins glycosilation, cross-linking in bone and cartilage connective tissue and serum glycoproteins was established. The results obtained showed sensitivity of the bone tissue exstacellular matrix to influence of low-weight metabolites action at the level of post-synthetic modification of its components, their intermolecular interaction and process of osteogenesis.

RESUMEN

In experiments in vitro and in vivo influence of formiate on free amino acids contents of tissues and organs of rats has been studied. Results of experiments showed a possibility of amino acids formilation in all investigated tissues. This process could be enzymatic. Its effectivness depended on amino acids and formiate concentrations. The most effective processes took place in organs with high metabolic activity.

RESUMEN

Acetic and succinate acids KoA acyl derivatives interacting with formate were displayed to produce alpha-ketoacids--pyruvate and alpha-ketoglutarate. These acids also interact with formate and make pyruvic and malate acids, while alpha-ketoglutarate, evidently, tricarboxy acids. Interaction of formate with acetic and succinate acids inspite of occurring out of the tricarbone cycle increases the latter metabolic functions.

RESUMEN

Emotional stress of rats is accompanied by essential alterations in glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid cycle in the liver. These alterations were observed over a few days after the termination of stressor action. Perhaps it is one of the trigger mechanisms responsible for pathological changes in the organism.

RESUMEN

Administration of morphine into rats at a dose of 30 mg/kg within 6 days led to a decrease in total rate of tRNA aminoacylation in liver tissue. Content of lactate, pyruvate, malate and alpha-ketoglutarate was decreased within 6 days-long course of morphine administration, while content of lactate was only altered after 5 weeks of the intoxication. Adaptation reactions appear to be increased with time in long-term intoxication with morphine.

RESUMEN

Formate was studied for its effect on the content of acetaldehyde, activity of the total aldehyde dehydrogenase, content of substrates of glycolysis and tricarbonic-cycle and pool of free amino acids of rat tissues during alcohol intoxication. The introduction of formate during the acute alcohol intoxication lowers the acetaldehyde content in the blood; the ethanol load being prolonged--it increases the activity of aldehyde dehydrogenase and normalizes the content of pyruvate, glutamate and malate in the liver and glutamate and oxaloacetate in the brain, that evidences for the correction of metabolic disturbances in the organism.

RESUMEN

A new metabolic reaction of the aldolase condensation between formic acid and acetaldehyde proceeding with the formation of milk acid is detected in the liver of rats. Milk acid has been determined by chemical, enzymic and autoradiographic methods. Homogeneous preparations of the enzyme which catalyzes the mentioned reactions and is called lactate synthase are obtained in the crystalline form. The method for obtaining the lactate synthase from the rat liver is described as well as certain properties of the lactate synthase.

RESUMEN

Experiments on the rat liver homogenates and slices show that formate stimulates carbon incorporation from [1-14C] lysine and [2-14C] acetate into proteins and from [2-14C] acetate into lipids. The stimulating effect depends on both the formate concentration and nature of the labelled precursor. The in vitro experiments demonstrate the highest stimulating effect on the metabolism of both proteins and lipids under administration of 2 microM formate per 100 g of animal mass. Determination of the label incorporation rate at different time after formate administration showed that the latter evokes an intensified synthesis of protein with rate of its decay remaining the same.

RESUMEN

When the content of carbonic acid in the incubation media increases from 10 up to 40 mM at pH 7.2, 7.4 and 7.6, incorporation of 14C into lipids is twice as high due to such precursors as glycine-2-14C, acetate-2-14C and valine-1-14C. A stimulating effect of carbonic acid high concentrations on the intensity of 14C incorporation from the mentioned precursors into proteins and from glycine-2-14C into RNA is observed at all the studied values of pH of the incubation medium, whereas the same activation with respect to DNA is the most pronounced at pH 7.2 and 7.6.

RESUMEN

Feeding carboxylin to bulls of the black-piebald breed for six months with the beet-cutting fattening essentially increases assimilation of nitrogen, in particular of diammonium phosphate nitrogen, from the ration. In the experiments with liver sections and homogenates of animals of the control and experimental groups it is established that carboxylin activates incorporation of acetate-2-14 C into proteins and lipids as well as from NaH14CO3 into the acid-soluble organic substances. In the liver tissue of the animals under experiment the oxygen uptake is intensified. The content of alkaline reserves increased, concentration of area and citrate rises. No difference is established in the content of calcium, phosphorus, allantoin and ketonic bodies in blood between the animals group.
