RESUMEN

On selection of external bleeding models for preclinical evaluation of the effectiveness of local haemostatic agents (literature review). To temporarily stop of external bleeding traditionally use a pressure bandage or tourniquet, but not for all types of wounds it is possible and appropriate to apply these dressings. In recent times there has been significant progress in the development and improvement of local haemostatic agents used for the first aid. There are currently conflicting information about their effectiveness, presented by various authors, requires standardization of experimental modelsforpre-clinical testing of medical devices in this class. Following a review of domestic and foreign literature DroDosed to standardize external bleeding model for assessing the effectiveness of local haemostatic agents.

RESUMEN

The paper presents an overview of cellular therapy products and medical tissue engineering of the leading countries of the world (including the US) and identifies lines of research in the field of cellular technology application in the interests of national military medicine. The authors gave information concerning practical implementation of the achievements of biomedical research in the field of regenerative cellular products and technologies in Russia as different products, which may be used at the stages of medical evacuation. The authors presented results of research, which was, performed on the model of mine blast injury in accordance with principle possibility of the usage of cellular technologies products (multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells) in medical practice.

RESUMEN

Clinical efficacy of cycloferon (solution for injections) in combination with azitromycin was studied in males with newly diagnosed chronic prostatitis of chlamydial etiology and silent urogenital chlamydial infection. Administration of cycloferon in recommended regimen promotes clinical recovery and prevents recurrences. High clinical efficacy of cycloferon results from immunotropic activity of the drug which normalizes immune response and leads to elimination of the pathogen 3-6 months after the end of the treatment.

RESUMEN

The level ofcytokines was studied in the blood of 111 women aged 18 to 56 with recurrent genital herpes caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) type 1 or 2 (for the frequency of relapses within 6-9 year) treated with interferon inducers iodantipyrin, cycloferon and amixin in combination with basic aciclovir therapy. It is found that, in patients with clinical effect of treatment (decrease in the frequency of relapses) the level of cytokines of nonspecific immune response (alpha-interferon, beta-interferon, tumor necrosis factor-alpha) and Th1 profile gamma-interferon, interleukin-2) increased and the concentrations of interleukin-10 decreased 1.5-3 months after beginning of drug administration. A special feature of drug action for iodantipyrin was a relatively large increase in the blood level of alpha-interferon, for cycloferon--in the level of tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and for amixin--in the level of gamma-interferon. In the absence of any clinical effect, interferon inducers produced only small and brief (in 1.5 months after the beginning of treatment) increase in the blood content of proinflammatory cytokines (alpha-interferon, gamma-interferon, interleukin-2) at a stable high level of interleukin-10.

RESUMEN

It has been experimentally established that a single impact of carbon mono-oxide in concentration 4000 mg/m3 during 75 minutes (CL50) in rats is accompanied with disturbance of functional activities of blood red cells in the form of a decrease of deformability and an increase of aggregative capacity of erythrocytes which are most evident to the end of the first day after carbon mono-oxide administration. These changes are combined with structural modification and changes in metabolism of erythrocytic membrane. The signs of structural modification of erythrocytic membrane in rats exposed to acute effect of carbon mono-oxide in a mean lethal concentration stay long remaining during elimination of carboxyhemoglobinemia (up to 14-21 days).

RESUMEN

A complex study of the peripheral erythron component was performed during methemoglobinemias induced by single administration of sodium nitrate and phenylhydrazine in LD50. Administration of methemoglobin-forming agents to rats induced the development of hemolytic anemia. The pathogenesis of this disorder included significant long-term modifications of the erythrocyte membrane. The severity and duration of anemia syndrome depended on chemical structure of xenobiotics, blood methemoglobin level, and the duration of the acute period of methemoglobinemia.
