RESUMEN
The species Tejidotaenia appendiculata (Baylis, 1947), a parasite found in teju, Tupinambis teguixin is redescribed and a new diagnosis is provided. The species is characterized by the anterior position of the ovary and the peculiar shape of suckers. It is the first record of this species in Brazil.

Description of a new genus and new species of proteocephalid tapeworm in Paulicea luetkeni, which shows superficial resemblance to tetraphyllids, especially in its gravid proglottides. Euzetiella tetraphylliformis belongs to the Proteocephalidae, Proteocephalinae due to the presence of medullary gonads as well as the shape of the scolex and the presence of uniloculate suckers. Furthermore, this species is characterized by an apolytic strobila, which represents an exception within the Proteocephalidea.

Some species of Amphibia and Reptilia are listed as new hosts of spargana, from material deposited in the Helminthological Collection of Oswaldo Cruz Institute. It is discussed the difficulties in identifying the larvae (Sparganum) and also the identification of adults of Luheella species from South America. The histopathology induced by spargana in the liver of a species of Amphibia is briefly described.

It is described Trypanosoma nupelianus sp. n. parasitizing Rhinelepis aspera taken from Paraná river (Itaipu reservoir, Brazil). Morphometric characters such as body length, width of the body and nucleus dimensions show that T. nupelianus sp. n. is different from other trypanosomes described for fishes from tropical regions

Proteocephalid cestode hyperparasites are reported from numerous proteocephalids occurring in pimelodid fishes in different regions of Brazil. In addition, three specimens of a nematode hyperparasite are reported from the proteocephalid cestode Choanoscolex abscissus from the pimelodid fish Pseudoplatystoma corruscans in Brazil. Previous records of cestode and nematode hyperparasites of cestodes are listed, and the possible identities of the Brazilian records are discussed.

The histopathology induced by Nematobothrium scombri (Trematoda) in Scomber japonicus and of larval anisakid nematodes in Pagrus pagrus is described. Nematodes larvae occurred within the liver capsule and N. scombri occurred within nodules in the opercula. The fishes were collected off the coast of Rio de Janeiro State.

This note criticizes a misidentification of pentastomid nymphs identified as Armillifer moniliformis, found in a wild rodent, Zygodontomys pixuna from Bahia State. It is demonstrated that these nymphs belong to Porocephalus, probably P. crotali (Humboldt, 1808).
