RESUMEN

AIM: To estimate the importance of new algorithm introducing of PDP diagnostics in practice of NEFU medical institute Clinic in detection of severity level and predicting of clinical course. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 50 people with sensory-motor PDP form among patients with 2 type diabetes were examined on the basis of Clinic of NEFU medical institute. Patients have been divided into 2 groups by disease duration: the first groups were patients with duration of disease till 10 years, the second group--more than 10 years. Diagnostics methods: clinical neurologic, neurophysiological. RESULTS: Patients underwent polymodal sensitivity analysis, computer pallesteziometry, stabilometry, electroneuromyography. The dependence of clinical neurophysiological PDP parametres from severity of the duration of type 2 diabetes has been revealed. CONCLUSION: Thus, dependence of clinical-neurophysiological parametres of PDP severity from the duration of 2 type diabetes has been revealed. The new algorithm raised efficacy of clinical-neurophysiological PDP diagnostics and helped the predicting of the clinical course.

RESUMEN

In present work interactions of bovine serum albumin with 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-N-methylpyridil) tetra iodide porphyrin have been studied by electron absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. The studies were carried out in aqueous media at different pH and in water-dimethylformamide mixtures containing up to 0.19 M of the organic solvent. It has been demonstrated that the porphyrin forms stable complexes with BSA in which the porphyrin is located subdomains IB and IIA. The stability constants of the complexes is practically independent of pH.

RESUMEN

Multiple sclerosis is a classic multifactorial disease in which etiology interaction of external factors and structural features of a large number of genes plays an important role. Identifying risk factors for multiple sclerosis and creating an integrated model of pathogenesis are urgent tasks of neurology. Revealing true risk factors is possible only in studies with sufficient statistical power, so with a large amount of samples. We conducted the association study of CD40 gene's polymorphisms and multiple sclerosis among residents of the Russian Federation. The results demonstrated the need to combine data from different researchers in clinical studies to increase the power of the study.

RESUMEN

The state of venous and arterial cerebral hemodynamics was studied using ultrasonic dopplerography with application of hypo- and hypercapnia, angioencephaloscintigraphy with pertecnetate Tc-99m in 48 patients with syndrome of vertebrobasilar insufficiency. Estimation was performed in patients by the results of neurological and otoneurologic evidence, the data of nistagmography and registration of the truncal evoked potentials. It was found that at early stages of the development of vertebrobasilar insufficiency's syndrome disorders of vasomotor reactivity and disturbances in venous hemodynamics play a leading role in its pathogenesis. Stenosis damages of extra- and intracranial arteries become dominating in subsequent clinical picture.

RESUMEN

In this work the process of capsule formation in P.multocida bovine strain, serovar A, has been studied. The cultures were grown on liquid and solid nutrient media prepared on the basis of Hottinger hydrolysate and synthetic culture medium 199. Extracellular material was detected by the method electron cytochemistry with ruthenium red and polycationic ferritin. As revealed by specific staining and labeling, P.multocida capsule of serovar A was found to contain material of the polysaccharide nature. But the capsular structures of obtained from agar-grown and broth cultures were different. The capsular layer on the surface of cells grown in Hottinger's broth was found to be more pronounced.

RESUMEN

The results of the study of the cultural morphological properties and growth dynamics of P. multocida, serotypes A, B, D, in the course of cultivation in liquid media are presented. The bacteria were grown in synthetic nutrient medium 199 and Hottinger broth. The influence of glucose at different concentrations on the growth activity of P. multocida in the synthetic medium was established. The process of the accumulation of surface (capsular) antigens in culture fluid was studied. The levels of the titers of surface antigens were shown to depend on the growth phases of bacteria.

RESUMEN

While the share of protein from unicellular organisms is but a small fraction of total protein production, the methods of microbiologic production appear rather promising and have been greatly developed in the last 10-15 years. The author discusses technologic methods for obtaining protein from unicellular organisms, questions of selecting the raw material and the producers used in these processes, and the fields for use of the product obtained. The range of suitable taxonomic groups of microorganisms and of substrates for these processes has lately been broadened. Attention has been focussed on the use of renewable feedstock and of industrial wastes (cellulose-containing materials, etc.). Use of the latter for microbiologic synthesis could produce enough protein to make up for the global deficit in protein. The author also discusses questions of improving, enlarging, and automating the equipment suitable for these processes.
