RESUMEN

A porous carbon/Fe3O4 nanocomposite (PC/Fe3O4 nanocomposite) was prepared through the pyrolysis of peanut shells as biowaste with ferrous ferric oxide to give a new magnetically recoverable catalyst. In the designed nanocomposite, magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles are properly distributed on the surface and cavities of porous carbon obtained from biomass. Increasing the active surface and magnetic recovery capability results in catalytic synergy, thereby promoting the reaction with an appropriate catalytic effect. The catalytic ability of the porous carbon/Fe3O4 nanocomposite as a nanomagnetically recoverable catalyst was successfully tested for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines.

RESUMEN

At first, a novel graphene oxide-based magnetic nanocomposite namely Si-propyl-functionalized N 1,N 1,N 2,N 2-tetramethylethylenediamine-N 1,N 2-diium hydrogen sulfate anchored to graphene oxide-supported Fe3O4 (nano-[GO@Fe3O4@R-NHMe2][HSO4]) was fabricated. After full characterization of the nanocomposite, its catalytic performance was examined for the solvent-free construction of N,N'-alkylidene bisamides from aryl aldehydes (1 eq.) and primary aromatic and aliphatic amides (2 eq.), in which the products were acquired in short times (15-30 min) and high to excellent yields (89-98%). Nano-[GO@Fe3O4@R-NHMe2][HSO4] could be magnetically isolated form the reaction medium, and reused three times without remarkable loss of catalytic activity.

RESUMEN

Nano-[CuFe2O4@SiO2/propyl-1-(O-vanillinaldimine)][ZnCl2] was prepared by placing a Schiff base zinc(ii) complex on a magnetite core and fully characterized by various analyses such as FT-IR, FE-SEM, EDAX, SEM-coupled EDX, TGA, VSM and TEM. The complexes supported on silica-coated magnetite copper ferrite nanoparticles were used as a reusable catalyst for the synthesis of 5-methyl-N,7-diphenyl-4,7-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidine-6-carboxamides resulting in 40% to 96% yield in the reactions of various aldehydes, acetoacetanilide, and 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole at 60 °C under solvent-free conditions. The zinc complex can change its structure from tetrahedral to square planar and catalyze the reaction. Some products containing the benzyloxy moiety are new and have been reported for the first time.

RESUMEN

Trityl chloride (TrCl) was efficiently used as a neutral catalyst for the multicomponent cyclization reaction of an aldehyde with dimedone and 6-amino-1,3-dimethyluracil for the preparation of pyrimido[4,5-b] quinolines in chloroform under reflux condition.

RESUMEN

A nano TiO2/porous carbon nanocomposite (TiO2/PCN) was designed by the pyrolysis of peanut shells as bio waste with nano titanium dioxide. In the presented nanocomposite, titanium dioxide is properly placed in the positions and pores of the porous carbon, so that it acts as an optimal catalyst in the nanocomposite structure. The structure of TiO2/PCN was studied by various analyses such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), SEM coupled EDX (SEM mapping), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and BET. TiO2/PCN was successfully tested as a nano catalyst for the preparation of some 4H-pyrimido[2,1-b]benzimidazoles in high yields (90-97%) and short reaction times (45-80 min).

RESUMEN

DABCO was used as a basic and inexpensive catalyst for the synthesis of some new benzyloxy pyrimido[4,5-b]quinoline derivatives and 1,2,3- triazole-fused pyrimido[4,5-b]quinolines by the one-pot multi-component reaction of various benzyloxy benzaldehydes or benzylic -1,2,3-triazol-4-yl-methoxy benzaldehydes with dimedone and 6-amino-1,3-dimethyluracil at 90 °C under the solvent-free condition.

RESUMEN

Nano-[Fe3O4@SiO2/N-propyl-1-(thiophen-2-yl)ethanimine][ZnCl2] as a nano magnetite Schiff base complex was designed and fully characterized by various analyses such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal gravimetric analysis (DTA), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron micrographs (TEM). The presented nano magnetite Schiff base complex was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of pyrimido[4,5-b]quinolones by the reaction of aryl aldehyde, dimedone and 6-amino-1,3-dimethyluracil in EtOH : H2O (7 : 3) as a solvent at 60 °C.

RESUMEN

Water was magnetized via an external magnetic field and employed, for the first time, as a solvent in green preparation of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones by the one-pot three-component condensation reaction using boric acid as a catalyst. Shorter reaction times, higher yields, and cleaner reaction profiles were some advantages of using magnetic water.
