RESUMEN

A green, facile and tunable pair electrochemical process was developed for the synthesis of new benzenesulfonamide derivatives by using reductive controlled potential electrolysis of dinitrobenzene (DNB) in the presence of arylsulfinic acids (ASAs). In addition to the usual features associated with paired electrochemical methods, eg high energy efficient, this method has a tunable characteristic, so that, by adjusting the potential, different products can be synthesized. By applying the potential of -0.4 V vs. Ag/AgCl, N-hydroxy-N-(4-nitrophenyl)benzenesulfonamide derivatives are selectively formed, while, by applying the potential of -1.1 V vs. Ag/AgCl, the final products are N-(4-amino-3-(phenylsulfonyl)phenyl) benzenesulfonamide derivatives. This work beautifully shows the potential applications of the electrochemistry as a powerful tool for the synthesis of organic compounds.

RESUMEN

The synthesis of new Pd/Pt metallacyclopropa[60]fullerene complexes containing unsymmetrical phosphorus ylides [Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2 = C(H)C(O)C6H4-p-OMe] (n = 1, (Y1); n = 2, (Y2)) has been reported. The synthesized complexes exhibit different structures, including two P,C- chelated [(η2-C60)Pd(κ2-Y1)] (1) and [(η2-C60)Pt(κ2-Y1)] (2) complexes and two P-coordinated [(η2-C60)Pd(Y2)2] (3) and [(η2-C60)Pt(Y2)2] (4) complexes with chain structures. Characterization of all compounds was performed by multi-neclear NMR spectroscopies (1H, 13C and 31P NMR) and other conventional techniques such as IR, UV-Vis, SEM and cyclic voltammetry (CV) analyses. In this regard, the presence of all characteristic chemical shifts in the IR and NMR spectra proposed the formation of desired products. Also, theoretical studies were used to investigate the nature of metal-ligands in all complexes. In addition, a comparison between the catalytic activity of Pd complexes 1 and 3 was evaluated in the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction of various aryl chlorides with phenylboronic acid, which revealed a meaningful difference between the catalytic activity of complexes 1 and 3.

RESUMEN

A new chemically modified electrode was constructed and applied to the electro-oxidation of the oxymetholone. Also, the electrode was applied to the simple, rapid, highly selective and sensitive determination of oxymetholone (OXM) in pharmaceutical and plasma samples using square wave voltammetry (SWV). The multi-walled carbon nanotubes modified glassy carbon electrode (MWCNT/GCE) were prepared by casting of the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) suspension on the glassy carbon electrode surface. The limit of detection and the linear range were found to be 1.36 and 2.00-90.00 ng mL(-1) of OXM, respectively. The effects of potentially interfering substances on the determination of this compound were investigated and found that the electrode is highly selective. The proposed modified electrode was used for the determination of OXM in human plasma and pharmaceutical samples. This reveals that MWCNT/GCE shows excellent analytical performance for the determination of OXM in terms of very low detection limit, high sensitivity, very good repeatability and reproducibility over other methods reported in literature.
