RESUMEN
Se describen las características de las publicaciones aparecidas en la Revista Cubana de Medicina Intensiva y Emergencias entre 2002 y 2007, así como su evolución en el tiempo. Se revisaron directamente todos los artículos publicados en la Revista Cubana de Medicina Intensiva y Emergencias. Los artículos fueron clasificados según su tipología en originales, revisiones, reportes de casos, cartas al director y editoriales. De estos artículos se recogieron las siguientes variables: número de autores, el sexo, institución, provincia, la existencia o no de colaboración, servicio de procedencia del estudio. Fue excluido un artículo por no haber sido posible identificar las variables del estudio. En un intento de obtener una tasa de publicaciones por provincia se utilizó la tasa de publicaciones por 100 000 habitantes. Durante el periodo de estudio salieron 6 volúmenes y 203 publicaciones. De los 792 autores, 553 (69.8 porciento) eran del sexo masculino, la mediana de autores por publicación estuvo entre 3 y 5. La mayoría de los artículos provenían de las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos y el tipo más frecuente fue el original con 146 (71.9 por ciento). Sólo existió colaboración en 24 (11.8 por ciento). El Hospital Militar Central Dr. Luis Díaz Soto aportó 1/3 de las publicaciones y 4 hospitales la mitad de las mismas de un total de 42 hospitales. La tercera parte (68.9 por ciento) de las publicaciones se originaron en una sola provincia: Ciudad de La Habana, que a su vez tuvo la mayor tasa de publicaciones: 6.4 por 100 000 habitantes(AU)
The characteristics of the publications appeared in the Cuban Magazine of Intensive Medicine they are described and Emergencies between 2002 and 2007, as well as their evolution in the time. All the were revised directly articles published in the Cuban Magazine of Intensive Medicine and Emergencies. The articles were classified according to their typology in original, reviews, reports of cases, letters to the director and editorial. The Central Military Hospital Dr. Luis Díaz Thicket contributed 1/3 of the publications and 4 hospitals the half of the same of a total of 42 hospitals.
