RESUMEN

Sepsis is an organ dysfunction caused by dysregulation of the body's response to infection, with high morbidity and mortality. The pathogenesis of sepsis is still unclear, and there are no specific treatment drugs. As a cell energy supply unit, the dynamic changes of mitochondria are closely related to various diseases. Studies have shown that structure and function of mitochondria are changed in different organs during sepsis. The energy shortage, oxidative stress change, imbalance of fusion and fission, autophagy reduce, biological functions of mitochondria play important roles in sepsis progress, which can provide a research target for the treatment of sepsis.

RESUMEN

Objective To study the effects of one finger massage on sciatic nerve injury rats. Methods The sciatic nerves were exposed, and the sciatic nerve was held by micro needles to make the sciatic nerve injury model. SD rats were randomly divided into sham-operation group, model group and massage group. In the sham-operation group, the sciatic nerves were exposed but not held. 7 d after the establishment of modeling, rats in massage group received one finger massage for 30 d. After 30 d, SFI and BBB of sciatic nerves were detected. HE staining, transmission electron microscope and immunochemistry assay were used to measure the changes of sciatic nerves. Results Compared with model group, massage group could speed up the recovery of SFI and increase BBB, promote the recovery of sciatic nerve morphology, increased protein level of S-100β, and enhance ultrastructure of newborn nerve growth and recovery. Conclusion One finger massage can effectively promote neurological and functional recovery after sciatic nerve injury in rats.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the influences of laryngeal mask airway(LMA) combined with epidural anesthesia on hemodynamics in hypertensive patients. Methods 72 gynecological patients with stage Ⅰ to Ⅱ hypertension were randomly divided into four groups(n=18 for each):general anesthesia with tracheal intubation(group G) or LMA(group L),combination of epidural anesthesia and general anesthesia with tracheal intubation(group GE) or LMA(group LE).BP,HR,ECG,SpO2 were monitored in different time.Intraoperative awareness, the time of extubation or LMA removal and anesthetic dosages were recorded. Results During insertion of the tube or LMA,SBP,DBP,HR were significantly higher than those before anesthesia in group G and GE(P

RESUMEN

AIM: The purpose of the study was to examine colon cancer cell lines to determine whether Stat5b/Survivin plays an important role in the process of apoptosis in colon cancer cells. METHODS: Protein lysates were extracted from colon cancer cells. Human colon cancer cell line HT29 was transfected with Stat5b antisense oligonucleotide mediated by liposome. MTT assay was used to measure the proliferation. Flow cytometry was applied to analyze the cell cycle and apoptosis. EMSA was used to detect the activity of Stat5. Western blotting was applied to measure the expression of Stat5, p-Stat5, cyclin D1, Survivin, Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL. RESULTS: Targeting of Stat5 using antisense oligonucleotide against the translation site resulted in apoptosis and downregulaed the expressions of Stat5, p-Stat5, cyclin D1 and Survivin, but not Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL. CONCLUSION: Constitutive activation of Stat5 is associated with the carcinogenesis of colon cancer cells. Blocking of Stat5 signaling inhibits the expression of Survivin and induces apoptosis in colon cancer cells.
