RESUMEN

ObjectiveTo investigate the social support status and influencing factors of schizophrenics in remission in Northeast Sichuan, and to provide ideas for improving their social support. MethodsFrom May to September 2020, a total of 533 patients who met the diagnosis criteria of the International Classification of Diseases, tenth edition (ICD-10) for schizophrenics in remission at the mental health institutions in Guangyuan, Bazhong and Dazhou cities were selected for the survey, and patients were assessed by self-made demographic and clinical data inventory and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS). Then the social support status of schizophrenic in remission and influencing factors were analyzed, meantime, the impact of the second round reimbursement policy of medical insurance benefits on their social support was addressed particularly. Results①The SSRS total score, objective support, subjective support, and utilization of support scores of schizophrenics in remission were lower than those of the national norm (t=5.065~30.382, P<0.01). ②Univariate analysis showed that SSRS score was relatively high among patients with female gender (t=-3.632), retired status (F=5.951), married status (F=5.951), spouse as primary caregiver (F=23.841), annual household income >5 000 yuan (F=15.892), patient's economic income (t=4.083), and outpatient or online follow-up (F=3.954), with statistically significant differences (P<0.05 or 0.01). ③The total and dimensional scores of SSRS in patients with access to the second round medical insurance reimbursement were significantly higher than those without (t=10.195~25.103, P<0.01). ④Multiple linear regression analysis denoted that gender, work status, marital status, primary caregivers, annual family income, economic income, follow-up visits and the second round medical insurance reimbursement were the factors influencing social support status of schizophrenics in remission (β=0.201~2.115, P<0.05 or 0.01). ConclusionThe social support of schizophrenics in remission in Northeast Sichuan is below the national average, furthermore, their social support levels are affected by the gender, work status, marital status, primary caregivers, annual family income, economic income, follow-up visits and the second round medical insurance reimbursement, and the second round medical insurance reimbursement may ameliorate the social support status of patients.

RESUMEN

Reduced alveolar fluid clearance (AFC) is a major pathological feature of acute lung injury (ALI). Epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) plays a key role in regulating the transport of Na+ and clearing alveolar edema fluid effectively. ENaC has been reported to be regulated by aldosterone in the distal collecting tube of the kidney. We hypothesized whether aldosterone regulated ENaC in alveolar epithelium and correspondingly played a role in ALI. In this study we found that the expression of aldosterone synthesis encoding gene, CYP11B2, and ENaC were decreased in the lung tissue of LPS-induced ALI mice. Furthermore, aldosterone alleviated ALI by increasing the expression of ENaC-α and relieving pulmonary edema. Besides, we found that aldosterone upregulated ENaC-α through PI3K/Akt/SGK1 pathway. In conclusion, our study demonstrated that aldosterone attenuated pulmonary edema by upregulating ENaC-α through the PI3K/Akt/SGK1 pathway in LPS-induced ALI, indicating that aldosterone might be a promising adjuvant drug for ALI treatment.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the association between serum level of secretory type Ⅱ phospholipase A2 (sPLA2 Ⅱ a) and carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) in elderly patients with metabolic syndrome (MS).Methods A total of 124 consecutive MS patients aged over 65 years were enrolled and another 90 elderly non-MS subjects were served as controls. The serum concentration of sPLA2 Ⅱ a was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Blood pressure, blood lipids and blood glucose levels etc.were also measured. The carotid intima-media thickness was examined by color Doppler ultrasonography. Results Serum level of sPLA2 Ⅱ a was significantly higher in elderly MS patients than in control group [(4.41±1.55)μg/L vs.(2.39±0.97)μg/L,P< 0.05].Compared with the control group, elderly MS patients showed CIMT was significantly increased [(1.17±0.24) mm vs.(0.89±0.24)mm,P<0.05].Serum level of sPLA2 Ⅱ a were higher in elderly obesity patients than in normal BMI subjects [(4.76±0.99)μg/L vs.(2.84±0.54)μg/L,P<0.05].Multiple regression analysis indicated that sPLA2 Ⅱ a level was an independent risk factor for CIMT in elderly MS patients after adjusting for the effects of BMI,IL-6 and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs CRP) on CIMT(r=0.38,P<0.01).Conclusions Serum level of sPLA2 Ⅱ a is increased in elderly MS patients and is independently correlated with CIMT,which has a predictive value for atherosclerosis,sPLA2 Ⅱ a may be involved in the process of vascular endothelial injury.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the effect of 20‐HETE on the isolated myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury and to ex‐plore its underlying mechanisms .Methods Experiments were performed in isolated rat hearts subjected to 35 min of ischemia fol‐lowed by 40 min of reperfusion in Langendorff preparations .HET0016 (1 μmol/L) and various concentrations (10 ,30 or 50 nmol/L) of 20‐HETE were infused 10 min before the onset of ischemia and throughout the reperfusion period .Cardiac hemodynamic changes and myocardial contractility were continuously recorded with the Powerlab /8P system .Myocardial infarct size was meas‐ured by TTC staining .The level of ROS and the protein carbonyl content were determined by DHE fuorescence and DNPH method , respectively .Results Perfusion with HET0016 significantly improved myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury reduction in cardiac contractility ,after inhibited the production of 20‐HETE significantly reduced the occurrence of myocardial infarction area (P<0 .05) ,but exogenous join 20‐HETE aggravated I/R‐induced myocardial injury (P<0 .05) .Myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury significantly increased production of ROS and oxidative stress ,both of which were significantly inhibited by HET 0016 and enhanced by 20‐HETE administration(P< 0 .05) .Conclusion 20‐HETE stimulates ROS production and enhance protein carbonylation , which aggravates myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury .

RESUMEN

Objective To study the effect of low frequency electrical stimulation on hormone levels in organs of Chinese tree shrews after death. Methods Giving Chinese tree shrews low frequency electrical stimulation. At 0 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 18 h, 24 h, 36 h and 72 h after death, the thyroid, liver, spleen were taken, and the levels of endothelin (ET), atrial natriuretic factor( ANF) , thromboxane ( TX) were determined by RIA method. At 0 h after death, midbrain ventral tegmental area ( VTA) of Chinese tree shrews was taken to detect the c-fos expression. Results After electrical stimula-tion, ET, ANF, TX levels in the cadaver organs and VTA c-fos expression of Chinese tree shrews were significantly in-creased than in the control group. The contents were decreasing with the time after death. Conclusions Low frequency e-lectrical stimulation can induce the synthesis and release of hormones in organs and c-fos expression in brain tissue of Chi-nese tree shrews.
