The authors used in 39 patients with the intact gallbladder and after previously performed cholecystectomy the therapeutical tactics developed on the basis of consideration of the peculiarities of clinical course of acute biliary pancreatitis, and as well the original methods of treatment (auriculotherapy, selective hepatic vagotomy). This permitted to achieve the reduction in incidence of complications down to 11.5%, lethality--to 2.8%.

The experience with treatment of 129 patients with incarcerated abdominal hernia is presented. Postoperative lethality was 1.6%. Hernia recurrency was revealed in 4.9% of the patients.

The authors in 50 pubertal dogs of both sexes, modelled the destructive pancreatitis. All the animals undergoing the conservative therapy died. After resection of the pancreas performed with the use of a conventional method, one of the 7 dogs survived; after resection performed by means of the suggested method for determination of the necrotic zones--23 animals of the 29.
