RESUMEN
Results of medical examination of citizens of military age living in the Orenburg region for a decade are given. Noted that over the study period in the region have been positive changes: performance fitness for military service on health increased from 62.9% in 2000 to 67.7% in 2009 and projected to the positive dynamics in 2020 also marked improvement in physical fitness and the citizens of military age, a significant reduction in the number of recruits with poor and low power.

In the article results of questioning on studying of opinion of 1023 recruits at the age from 18 till 26 years and 323 doctors--the experts working as a part of the invocatory commissions of municipal unions of the Orenburg region about the organization of medical maintenance of preparation of citizens to military service, including preventive medical inspections, medical-improving actions, supervision of young men and physical examination in the invocatory commissions where the validity category to military service is defined are presented.

The article presents the analyze of indexes of morbidity among young men of preinduction age in Orenburg region. Was given a valuation of level of risk of forming of diseases. Were shown causes of deficit of weight, growth of pathology of locomotor apparatus and psychic diseases among young men of preinduction age. The young men before the call-up need well-timed prophylactic observes, dispensary observe and health measures, aimed to improve the health.

The levels of lead were determined in snow water, soil, and sludge. Its highest concentration was found in the deposits of the eastern and central areas of the region. These are areas with elevated technogenic loads. The concentration of lead in the snow cover was compared with its levels in the sludge and soil.
