RESUMEN

Objective To study the correlation of an ultra high performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)fingerprint of Xiaochengqitang pieces(decoction and granules). Methods The UPLC method was used to establish the fingerprint of 15 batches of Xiaochengqitang pieces(decoction and granules). The correlation of the three UPLC fingerprints was evaluated by similarity analysis, pearson correlation analysis, cluster analysis(CA),principal component analysis(PCA)and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA).Results UPLC fingerprints of 15 batches of Xiaochengqitang pieces(decoction and granules)determined 16 common peaks, and 14 peaks were identified. The similarity of the fingerprints of the 15 batches of Xiaochengqitang pieces(decoction and granules)with the corresponding control fingerprints was greater than 0.90,and the similarity of the three control fingerprints was greater than 0.88.The results of pearson correlation analysis showed that 8 common peaks in Xiaochengqitang pieces(decoction and granules)had a very significant positive correlation. The results of CA showed that the properties of Xiaochengqitang decoction and granules were more similar. The results of PCA showed that the principal components with 4 eigenvalues greater than 1 contained 88%of the information of the original data.OPLS-DA screened 7 differential markers with variable importance projection value greater than 1.Conclusion The main chemical compositions of Xiaochengqitang pieces(decoction and granules)are consistent, which can provide data support for the quality control and clinical use of Xiaochengqitang compound preparation.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE:To compare therapeutic efficacy and safety of laparoscopy combined with dienogest and laparoscopy combined with dienogest and TCM in the treatment of endometriosis. METHODS:126 endometriosis patients were selected and divid-ed into control group and observation group, with 63 cases in each group. Control group received combined with dienogest(25 mg/time,qd);observation group was additionally given TCM on the basis of control group. Therapeutic efficacy, recovery time of ovula-tion,menstrual recovery time and ADR were compared between 2 groups, and recurrence and pregnancy of them were followed up for 2 years. RESULTS:The total effective rate of observation group (93.65%) was significantly higher than that of control group (80.96%),with statistical significance (P<0.05). The menstrual recovery time and recovery time of ovulation in observation group were significantly shorter than control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The incidence of ADR in observation group (9.52%)was significantly lower than control group(26.98%),with statistical significance(P<0.05);the recurrence rate of observa-tion group (4.76%) was significantly lower than that of control group (17.46%),with statistical significance (P<0.05). In 2-year follow-up,there were 23 pregnancy patients in observation group, which was significantly higher than that of control group (9 cas-es),with statistical significance (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Laparoscopy combined with dienogest and TCM in the treatment of endometriosis have better clinical effect, higher safety and lower recurrence rate. The patients are easily pregnant.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Medial canthal reconstruction following skin cancer excision presents a challenge to the plastic surgeon because of the complex anatomy and the difficulty in obtaining tissue of the appropriate colour and thickness. Reconstruction with local flaps adjacent to the defect is often the first-choice treatment option. The authors have performed reconstruction with combined glabellar and orbicularis oculi myocutaneous advancement flaps in 12 patients. METHODS: A glabellar flap that can be divided into two parts was designed and elevated according to the defect in the medial canthal. The glabellar flap was transferred to the medial canthal defect after thinning. The residual area of medial canthal defect, which frequently involves the upper eyelid and inferior eyelid, was closed with an orbicularis oculi myocutaneous advancement flap. RESULTS: Reconstruction employing this procedure was performed on 12 patients with defects after resection of a medial canthal basal cell carcinoma. No recurrence was observed in any of the patients, and satisfactory results, including aesthetic results, were obtained for all patients. CONCLUSION: This technique can be readily used for relatively large medial canthal defects involving upper/inferior eyelid defects according to the size and shape of the defect. It is also aesthetically pleasing because of the inconspicuous postoperative suture line, which is consistent with the topographic curve.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the use of the kite flap (als o known as subcutaneous pedicled V-Y advancement flap)for the repair of moderate -sized anterior lamellar skin defects of eyelid. Methods Since 1994, kite flaps have been used to repair anterior lamellar skin defects of eyelids in 14 patients. Six patients were male and eight female, with a mean age of 43 years (range 15-64 years). The diameter of the largest defect reache d 1/3 length of the eyelid. The flaps were designed adjacent to the defects and the incision line corresponding to natural winkle lines on the eyelid. We underm ined the flap under the orbicular muscle, and advanced the flap to cover the def ect. The incisions were closed with 7-0 suture. Results After operation, all flaps survived with primary healing. Follow-up for 3 to 12 months showed that all cases had achieved satisfactory cosmetic effects without secondary deformity. Conclusions It is a simple, safe, an d reliable method to use kite flap for the repair of moderate-sized anterior la mellar eyelid skin defects that are too large to achieve primary approximation. Because kite-flap covers the defect through a direct advancement way without ro tation and twist, there are no dog-ear deformitys present at the pedical area a nd the repaired area looks smoothly. Because of its widely based muscle pedicle which incorporates venous and lymphatic drainage over most of its length, the un desirable pigment deposition is avoided.

RESUMEN

Objective To study epicanthus anatomy in cadavers in order to explore a more ideal technique for the correction of epicanthus. Methods On the basis of epicanthus anatomic dissection in 6 adult cadavers, canthoplasty and a new fixation technique for correcting epicanthus was performed clinically in the following procedures: incising the epicanthal fold and partial inner canthus ligament, pulling the new canthus medially and fixing it on the lateral nasal aponeurosis. Results Anatomic dissection showed that the epicanthus was caused by malposition of the orbicularis oculi muscule. More than 200 patients with epicanthus had been operated on by this technique and 165 of them were available for postoperative follow up for 6 months to 4 years with better cosmetic results. Conclusions This technique has less tissue damage and more favorable postoperative scar. It is a simple and reliable surgical approach for correction of epicanthus.
