RESUMEN
An original method was used for a study of blood insulinase activity in patients with type I (insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus which was decreased as compared to that in healthy persons and in persons with disturbed glucose tolerance. A GTT caused no significant variations of this index. Relations between lowered blood capability to degenerate insulin in diabetes mellitus and a rise of antiinsulinase activity of the plasma with preserved normal insulinase activity of erythrocytic hemolysate were established.

Renal function (glomerular filtration) and vascular permeability under the effect of an angioprotector were studied by means of labeled renotropic compounds in 55 patients with diabetic angiopathies. The patients were divided into 3 groups: the first group comprised 23 patients treated with anginin or prodectin alone; the second one--16 patients given dicinon or docsium, and the third one--16 patient who were given combined treatment. The best effect was noted in the latter group of patients.

A study was made of 43 patients suffering from diabetes mellitus using the method of proteinuria selectivity on polyacrylamide gel. Two types of proteinuria were distinguished: the first type repeated the electrophoregram of the plasma proteins completely or partially, the second type--the selective one--was characterized by excretion of individual plasma proteins. Diagnostic and prognostic value of the method of proteinuria selectivity is discussed.
