RESUMEN

Background: Humans must be able to cope with the huge amounts of information produced by the information technology revolution. As a result, automatic text summarization is being employed in a range of industries to assist individuals in identifying the most important information. For text summarization, two approaches are mainly considered: text summarization by the extractive and abstractive methods. The extractive summarisation approach selects chunks of sentences like source documents, while the abstractive approach can generate a summary based on mined keywords. For low-resourced languages, e.g., Urdu, extractive summarization uses various models and algorithms. However, the study of abstractive summarization in Urdu is still a challenging task. Because there are so many literary works in Urdu, producing abstractive summaries demands extensive research. Methodology: This article proposed a deep learning model for the Urdu language by using the Urdu 1 Million news dataset and compared its performance with the two widely used methods based on machine learning, such as support vector machine (SVM) and logistic regression (LR). The results show that the suggested deep learning model performs better than the other two approaches. The summaries produced by extractive summaries are processed using the encoder-decoder paradigm to create an abstractive summary. Results: With the help of Urdu language specialists, the system-generated summaries were validated, showing the proposed model's improvement and accuracy.

RESUMEN

Steganography is a technique in which a person hides information in digital media. The message sent by this technique is so secret that other people cannot even imagine the information's existence. This article entails developing a mechanism for communicating one-on-one with individuals by concealing information from the rest of the group. Based on their availability, digital images are the most suited components for use as transmitters when compared to other objects available on the internet. The proposed technique encrypts a message within an image. There are several steganographic techniques for hiding hidden information in photographs, some of which are more difficult than others, and each has its strengths and weaknesses. The encryption mechanism employed may have different requirements depending on the application. For example, certain applications may require complete invisibility of the key information, while others may require the concealment of a larger secret message. In this research, we proposed a technique that converts plain text to ciphertext and encodes it in a picture using up to the four least significant bit (LSB) based on a hash function. The LSBs of the image pixel values are used to substitute pieces of text. Human eyes cannot predict the variation between the initial Image and the resulting image since only the LSBs are modified. The proposed technique is compared with state-of-the-art techniques. The results reveal that the proposed technique outperforms the existing techniques concerning security and efficiency with adequate MSE and PSNR.

RESUMEN

Islamophobia is a sentiment against the Muslim community; recently, atrocities towards Muslim communities witnessed this sentiment globally. This research investigates the correlation between how news stories covered by mainstream news channels impede the hate speech/Islamophobic sentiment. To examine the objective mentioned above, we shortlisted thirteen mainstream news channels and the ten most widely reported Islamophobic incidents across the globe for experimentation. Transcripts of the news stories are scraped along with their comments, likes, dislikes, and recommended videos as the users' responses. We used a word embedding technique for sentiment analysis, e.g., Islamophobic or not, three textual variables, video titles, video transcripts, and comments. This sentiment analysis helped to compute metric variables. The I-score represents the extent of portrayals of Muslims in a particular news story. The next step is to calculate the canonical correlation between video transcripts and their respective responses, explaining the relationship between news portrayal and hate speech. This study provides empirical evidence of how news stories can promote Islamophobic sentiments and eventually atrocities towards Muslim communities. It also provides the implicit impact of reporting news stories that may impact hate speech and crime against specific communities.
