OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the health outcomes (postoperative morbidity and mortality) and the functional status at discharge of elderly patients older than 80 years who underwent emergency surgery. METHOD: Patients > 80 years of age who underwent emergency surgery during one year at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, Santander, Spain. Preoperative data (age, sex, type of surgery, comorbidity) and postoperative data (complications) were evaluated, as well as in-hospital mortality, at 30 days and 6 months after surgery. RESULTS: Five-hundred-sixty-eight patients underwent emergency surgery between 2018 and 2019. After the review, 407 patients were included in the study. Average age: 86.9 years. Women 61.7%. Mean hospital stay: 10.4 days. Traumatic interventions 41.3%, vascular surgery 19.7%, general-digestive surgery 25.3%. Medium ASA risk: 2.88. Functional status at discharge: 3.15. Postoperative complications: Clavien-Dindo I 40.8%, II 40.3%, IIIA 3.4%, IIIB 2.5%, IVA 3.9%, IVB 2.0% and V 7.1%. Hospital mortality 7.1%, 30-day mortality 10.3%, mortality at 6 months 24.6%. CONCLUSIONS: Patients > 80 years of age undergoing urgent surgery have high preoperative comorbidity, postoperative complications, and high mortality at 30 days and 6 months after surgery. This mortality is more significant in those ASA IV, nonagenarians and those undergoing high-risk surgery.
OBJETIVO: Evaluar los resultados en salud (morbilidad y mortalidad posoperatorias) y el estado funcional al alta de los pacientes mayores de 80 años sometidos a cirugía de urgencia. MÉTODO: Pacientes de edad > 80 años sometidos a cirugía de urgencia durante 1 año en el Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla, Santander, España. Se evaluaron datos preoperatorios (edad, sexo, tipo de cirugía, comorbilidad) y posoperatorios (complicaciones), así como mortalidad hospitalaria, a los 30 días y a los 6 meses de la cirugía. RESULTADOS: En 2018-2019 fueron operados de urgencia 568 pacientes, de los cuales 407 fueron incluidos en el estudio. Edad media: 86.9 años. El 61.7% fueron mujeres. Estancia media hospitalaria: 10.4 días. El 41.3% fueron intervenciones traumatológicas, el 19.7% cirugía vascular, el 25.3% cirugía general-digestiva. Riesgo ASA medio: 2.88. Estado funcional al alta: 3.15. Complicaciones posoperatorias: Clavien-Dindo I 40.8%, II 40.3%, IIIA 3.4%, IIIB 2.5%, IVA 3.9%, IVB 2.0% y V 7.1%. Mortalidad: hospitalaria 7.1%, a los 30 días 10.3% y a los 6 meses 24.6%. CONCLUSIONES: Los pacientes > 80 años sometidos a cirugía urgente presentan elevada comorbilidad preoperatoria, complicaciones posoperatorias y elevada mortalidad a 30 días y 6 meses de la cirugía. Esta mortalidad es más significativa en los ASA IV, nonagenarios y sometidos a cirugía de alto riesgo.

Certain spatial distributions of water inside partially filled containers can significantly reduce the bounce of the container. In experiments with containers filled to a volume fraction Ï, we show that rotation offers control and high efficiency in setting such distributions and, consequently, in altering bounce markedly. High-speed imaging evidences the physics of the phenomenon and reveals a rich sequence of fluid-dynamics processes, which we translate into a model that captures our overall experimental findings.

The triggering of avalanches is investigated using discrete element simulations for a process of random extraction of spheres. A monolayer, formed by identical spheres in a hexagonal configuration, is placed on a tilted plane surrounded by a small fence that sustains the spheres, mimicking the disposal of fruits in the market. Then, a random continuous extraction process of spheres is imposed until the collapse. For this simple numerical experiment, a phase diagram was obtained to visualize the occurrence of avalanches triggered by vacancies as a function of the tilting angle, system size, and friction coefficient. More importantly, a subzone was found where we can predict the critical number of extractions until the avalanche takes place. The prediction is made from an evolution model of the average coordination number based on statistical considerations. The theoretical prediction also gives a constant critical void fraction of spheres, which implies the system collapses at a critical packing fraction.

La papa (Solanum tuberosum) Diacol Capiro es uno de los cultivares con mayor producción y consumo interno en Colombia, siendo los departamentos de Cundinamarca y Boyacá, los principales productores. Este cultivo, se ve afectado por un complejo de virus, que disminuye la calidad de los tubérculos y los rendimientos. En este trabajo, se evaluó la prevalencia de los virus de ARN: PLRV, PVY, PVX, PVS, PVV, PYVV, PMTV y PVB, en brotes de tubérculos-semilla certificados, provenientes de la sabana Cundiboyacense, mediante RT-qPCR. Los resultados revelan la ocurrencia de siete de los ochos virus en las muestras, con niveles de infección de 100 % (PVS, PVX y PYVV), 75 % (PLRV), 50 % (PVY), 37,5 % (PMTV) y 12,5 % (PVB). Adicionalmente, con el fin de obtener información de los genomas de los virus detectados, se utilizó secuenciación de alto rendimiento (HTS), de una muestra compuesta (bulk) de brotes, siendo posible obtener el genoma completo del PLRV y el genoma parcial del PVY. Los análisis filogenéticos realizados con dichas secuencias ubicaron a los virus PLRV y PVY en clados, conformados por aislamientos colombianos, con niveles de identidad superiores al 97 %. Estos hallazgos evidencian la necesidad de fortalecer los programas de certificación de tubérculos-semilla de papa en el país, mediante la utilización de pruebas moleculares de detección viral.
Diacol-Capiro is one of the most important potato (Solanum tuberosum) cultivars in Colombia with most production concentrated in the provinces of Cundinamarca and Boyacá. Unfortunately, this crop is seriously affected by several viruses that compromise the quality of tubers and yields. In this work, it was evaluated the prevalence of the RNA viruses: PLRV, PVY, PVX, PVS, PVV, PYVV, PMTV, and PVB in certified tuber-seed sprouts produced in the highlands of Cundinamarca and Boyacá by RT-qPCR. Results revealed a prevalence of 100 % for PVS, PVX, and PYVV; 75 % for PLRV, 50 % for PVY, 37.5 % for PMTV, and 12.5 % for PVB. Additionally, high-throughput sequencing from a sprout´s bulk sample was used to gather genomic information of infecting viruses, which resulted in a partial PVY sequence, and a complete PLRV genome. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that both assemblies cluster within clades comprising other Colombian isolates with more than 97 % nucleotide sequence identity. These findings highlight the need to update potato seed-tuber certification programs in Colombia with the implementation of more sensitive molecular tests.

Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) is currently one of the most powerful techniques available to study the transcriptional response of thousands of cells to an external perturbation. Here, we perform a pseudotime analysis of SARS-CoV-2 infection using publicly available scRNA-seq data from human bronchial epithelial cells and colon and ileum organoids. Our results reveal that, for most genes, the transcriptional response to SARS-CoV-2 infection follows a non-linear pattern characterized by an initial and a final down-regulatory phase separated by an intermediate up-regulatory stage. A correlation analysis of transcriptional profiles suggests a common mechanism regulating the mRNA levels of most genes. Interestingly, genes encoded in the mitochondria or involved in translation exhibited distinct pseudotime profiles. To explain our results, we propose a simple model where nuclear export inhibition of nsp1-sensitive transcripts will be sufficient to explain the transcriptional shutdown of SARS-CoV-2 infected cells.

Purple passion fruit is one of the most important fruit exports of Colombia, but its productivity is being compromised by the emergence of several viral diseases. High-throughput sequencing (HTS) surveys of viruses in purple passion fruit fields in the province of Antioquia suggested infection by a new member of the family Tymoviridae. In this work, we characterize the complete genome sequence of this virus, tentatively named purple passionfruit leaf deformation virus (PpLDV), and evaluate its distribution in Antioquia. PpLDV was assembled at high coverage in four datasets from different regions. The 6.1 kb genome of PpLDV encodes a single polyprotein with domains characteristic of the family Tymoviridae, contains a marafibox-like promoter and the 3'-UTR can fold into a tRNA-like secondary structure with a valine anti-codon. Phylogenetic analysis of the polyprotein revealed that PpLDV is a distinct member of the family Tymoviridae, more closely related to the genus Tymovirus and the unclassified Poinsettia mosaic virus (PnMV). The presence of PpLDV was confirmed by RT-qPCR and RT-PCR in samples from commercial purple passion fruit fields, plantlets and seed sprouts collected in Antioquia using primers designed in this study. While the current global context of successive economic and health crises are punishing the economies of different countries in the world, it is particularly relevant to explore the business intentions of young university students, as potential entrepreneurs of opportunity. This matter is of the utmost importance, as it helps to facilitate the implementation of measures that can ensure the future recovery of the economy and the creation of new businesses. The objective of this paper is to study the institutional and psychological antecedents of entrepreneurial intention and the role of gender. The theory of planned behaviour is applied to assess how personal attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control can affect students' intention of becoming an entrepreneur. In addition, organizational support and institutional barriers are tested as potentially significant antecedents of entrepreneurial intention, along with the influence of gender. The research carried out was based on survey responses from a sample of 740 students of economics, communications, and education at an Ecuadorian university. The research propositions were tested using a partial least squares approach. Results indicate that behaviour towards entrepreneurship does not change in relation to gender. In addition, personal attitudes and perceived behavioural control regarding entrepreneurship are positively related to students' entrepreneurial intention. Organizational support is also found to be important for generating entrepreneurial intention. The paper adds to the current knowledge base on entrepreneurial intention by analysing the individual and joint influence of the principal elements of the theory of planned behaviour, as well as organizational support and institutional barriers on entrepreneurial intentions. Moreover, the research provides a useful perspective on the antecedents of entrepreneurial intention in an unexplored context such as Ecuador, by responding to the call focusing on entrepreneurial intention in different regions, cultures, and contexts.

In this article we present the development of a biosensor system that integrates nanotechnology, optomechanics and a spectral detection algorithm for sensitive quantification of antibiotic residues in raw milk of cow. Firstly, nanobiosensors were designed and synthesized by chemically bonding gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with aptamer bioreceptors highly selective for four widely used antibiotics in the field of veterinary medicine, namely, Kanamycin, Ampicillin, Oxytetracycline and Sulfadimethoxine. When molecules of the antibiotics are present in the milk sample, the interaction with the aptamers induces random AuNP aggregation. This phenomenon modifies the initial absorption spectrum of the milk sample without antibiotics, producing spectral features that indicate both the presence of antibiotics and, to some extent, its concentration. Secondly, we designed and constructed an electro-opto-mechanic device that performs automatic high-resolution spectral data acquisition in a wavelength range of 400 to 800 nm. Thirdly, the acquired spectra were processed by a machine-learning algorithm that is embedded into the acquisition hardware to determine the presence and concentration ranges of the antibiotics. Our approach outperformed state-of-the-art standardized techniques (based on the 520/620 nm ratio) for antibiotic detection, both in speed and in sensitivity.

In this Letter, we experimentally demonstrate self-organization of small tracers under the action of longitudinal Faraday waves in a narrow container. We observe a steady current formation dividing the interface in small cells given by Faraday-wave symmetries. These streaming currents rotate in each cell, and their circulation increases with wave amplitude. This streaming flow drives the tracers to form patterns, whose shapes depend on the Faraday-wave amplitude: From low to high amplitudes, we find tracers dispersed on vortices, narrow rotating rings, and a hedgehoglike pattern. We first describe the main pattern features and characterize the wave and tracers' motion. We then show experimentally that the main source of the streaming flow is the spatiotemporal-dependent shear at the wall contact line created by the Faraday wave itself. We end by presenting a 2D compressible advection model that considers the minimal ingredients present in the Faraday experiment, namely, the stationary circulation, the stretching component due to the oscillatory wave, and a steady converging field, which combined produce the observed self-organized patterns.

RESUMEN Las enfermedades virales son uno de los principales problemas fitopatológicos de la papa. Con el fin de determinar los virus más prevalentes en cultivos de papa var. Diacol Capiro en el oriente Antioqueño (Colombia), se evaluó mediante RT-qPCR la presencia de diez virus de ARN (PVY, PVA, PVV, TaLMV, PVS, PLRV, PYVV, PVX, ToRSV y PMTV) en 36 muestras de tejido foliar. Los resultados indicaron la ocurrencia de cinco de los diez virus evaluados, con niveles de prevalencia de 88,9 %, 75 %, 75 %, 41,7 % y 25 % para PVY, PVX, PYVV, PLRV y PVS, respectivamente. Con fines comparativos, cuatro virus también se evaluaron mediante ELISA, siendo detectados PVS (80,5 %), PVY (55 %) y PLRV (5,5 %); mientras que PVX no fue encontrado con esta prueba. La comparación de estas técnicas mediante la razón de prevalencia (RP), indicó que la RT-qPCR ofrece niveles superiores de detección con valores de RP = 1,6 y RP = 7,5 para los virus PVY y PLRV; mientras que para PVS la ELISA detectó más muestras positivas que RT-qPCR (RP = 3,22), evidenciándose la necesidad de diseñar nuevos cebadores ajustados a la diversidad de este virus en Antioquia. La coinfección mixta más frecuente fue PVY-PYVV-PVX (22,2 %), mientras que los cinco virus se encontraron en el 11,1 % de las muestras. Finalmente, utilizando secuenciación Sanger de la cápside y NGS para los genomas completos, se confirmó la circulación de todos los virus detectados en los cultivos de papa del oriente Antioqueño. Estos resultados señalan la necesidad de fortalecer los programas de manejo integrado de enfermedades virales en Antioquia.
ABSTRACT Viral diseases are one of the main phytopathological problems affecting potato crops worldwide. To determine the most prevalent viruses in potato var. Diacol Capiro crops in Eastern Antioquia, 36 leaf samples were tested for the presence of PVY, PVA, PVV, TaLMV, PVS, PLRV, PYVV, PVX, ToRSV and PMTV using RT-qPCR. Detected viruses included PVY, PVX, PYVV, PLRV and PVS with prevalence levels of 88.9 %, 75.0 %, 75.0 %, 41.7 % and 25.0 %, respectively. PVS, PVY, PLRV and PVX were also tested by ELISA. PVS, PVY and PLRV tested positive in 80.5 %, 55.0 % and 5.5 % of samples; PVX was not detected. Prevalence Ratios (PR) suggests that detection is higher for PVY (PR = 1.6) and PLRV (PR = 7.5) using RT-qPCR. ELISA worked better for PVS with a PR of 3.2; this result suggests that the RT-qPCR primers used for PVS must be adjusted to reflect the genome diversity of virus in Antioquia. The most frequent coinfection was PVY-PYVV-PVX, which occurred in 22.2 % of samples; coinfection with PVY, PVX, PYVV, PLRV and PVS was present in 11.1 % of samples. The circulation of these viruses in Eastern Antioquia was further confirmed using Sanger and high-throughput sequence. This work highlights the need to strengthen integrated disease management programs of viruses in Antioquia.

The localization of active brain sources from Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a useful method in clinical applications, such as the study of localized epilepsy, evoked-related-potentials, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The distributed-source model is a common method to estimate neural activity in the brain. The location and amplitude of each active source are estimated by solving the inverse problem by regularization or using Bayesian methods with spatio-temporal constraints. Frequency and spatio-temporal constraints improve the quality of the reconstructed neural activity. However, separation into frequency bands is beneficial when the relevant information is in specific sub-bands. We improved frequency-band identification and preserved good temporal resolution using EEG pre-processing techniques with good frequency band separation and temporal resolution properties. The identified frequency bands were included as constraints in the solution of the inverse problem by decomposing the EEG signals into frequency bands through various methods that offer good frequency and temporal resolution, such as empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and wavelet transform (WT). We present a comparative analysis of the accuracy of brain-source reconstruction using these techniques. The accuracy of the spatial reconstruction was assessed using the Wasserstein metric for real and simulated signals. We approached the mode-mixing problem, inherent to EMD, by exploring three variants of EMD: masking EMD, Ensemble-EMD (EEMD), and multivariate EMD (MEMD). The results of the spatio-temporal brain source reconstruction using these techniques show that masking EMD and MEMD can largely mitigate the mode-mixing problem and achieve a good spatio-temporal reconstruction of the active sources. Masking EMD and EEMD achieved better reconstruction than standard EMD, Multiple Sparse Priors, or wavelet packet decomposition when EMD was used as a pre-processing tool for the spatial reconstruction (averaged over time) of the brain sources. The spatial resolution obtained using all three EMD variants was substantially better than the use of EMD alone, as the mode-mixing problem was mitigated, particularly with masking EMD and EEMD. These findings encourage further exploration into the use of EMD-based pre-processing, the mode-mixing problem, and its impact on the accuracy of brain source activity reconstruction.

As part of an initiative to characterize viruses infecting Cape gooseberry in the province of Antioquia (Colombia), we report the genome sequence of a new member of the genus Ilarvirus (family Bromoviridae). This virus was identified in a Cape gooseberry plot in the municipality of Marinilla in a mixed infection with potato virus Y (PVY) as part of high-throughput sequencing initiative. Results were confirmed by nested RT-PCR and DAS-ELISA. Phylogenetic analysis suggested that the Cape gooseberry ilarvirus is a new member of subgroup 1 and it is most closely related to ageratum latent virus (AgLV). The name "Cape gooseberry ilarvirus 1" (CGIV-1) is proposed for this new ilarvirus.

BACKGROUND: Ectopic gastric mucosa has been described in different locations of the digestive tract, but that of the rectum is the least frequent. CLINICAL CASE: The case is described of a 48 year-old woman being investigated by the gastrointestinal department due to rectal bleeding and rectal tenesmus. Colonoscopy showed a diverticular cavity 3 cm, which was reported by histology as fundic-type heterotopic gastric mucosa. Barium enema and abdominopelvic CT showed a diverticular image at level of the right posterolateral wall of the rectal ampulla. Trans-rectal diverticulectomy was performed with primary closure of the resulting mucosal defect. The surgical specimen showed areas of gastric epithelium with no signs of atypia. CONCLUSIONS: It is not known whether the origin of heterotopic gastric mucosa occurs during foetal development or is the result of abnormal regeneration under inflammatory conditions. It is usually clinically asymptomatic or presents as haematochezia, especially in cases where gastric acid is being produced. In these cases there must be an initial treatment with proton pump inhibitors, although the definitive treatment is always surgical or endoscopic excision of the mucosa.

Spongospora subterranea is a soil-borne obligate parasite responsible for potato powdery scab disease. S. subterranea is a member of the order Plasmodiophorida, a protist taxa that is related to Cercozoa and Foraminifera but the fine details of these relationships remain unresolved. Currently there is only one available complete mtDNA sequence of a cercozoan, Bigelowiella natans. In this work, the mitochondrial sequence of a S. subterranea isolate infecting an Andean variety of S. tuberosum ssp. andigena (Diacol-Capiro) is presented. The mtDNA codes for 16 proteins of the respiratory chain, 11 ribosomal proteins, 3 ribosomal RNAs, 24 tRNAs, a RNA processing RNaseP, a RNA-directed polymerase, and two proteins of unknown function. This is the first report of a mtDNA genome sequence from a plasmodiophorid and will be useful in clarifying the phylogenetic relationship of this group to other members in the supergroup Rhizaria once more mtDNA sequences are available.

Colletotrichum lindemuthianum is the causal agent of anthracnose in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), one of the most limiting factors for this crop in South and Central America. In this work, the mitochondrial sequence of a Colombian isolate of C. lindemuthianum obtained from a common bean plant (var. Cargamanto) with anthracnose symptoms is presented. The mtDNA codes for 13 proteins of the respiratory chain, 1 ribosomal protein, 2 homing endonucleases, 2 ribosomal RNAs and 28 tRNAs. This is the first report of a complete mtDNA genome sequence from C. lindemuthianum.

We present an experimental study on the statistical properties of the injected power needed to maintain an inelastic ball bouncing constantly on a randomly accelerating piston in the presence of gravity. We compute the injected power at each collision of the ball with the moving piston by measuring the velocity of the piston and the force exerted on the piston by the ball. The probability density function of the injected power has its most probable value close to zero and displays two asymmetric exponential tails, depending on the restitution coefficient, the piston acceleration, and its frequency content. This distribution can be deduced from a simple model assuming quasi-Gaussian statistics for the force and velocity of the piston.

BACKGROUND: The incidence of splenic artery aneurysm is not well known because they are often asymptomatic. CLINICAL CASE: The case is presented of a 40 year-old woman diagnosed with a splenic artery aneurysm. She was clinically asymptomatic. A three-dimensional angiographic study was performed. The artery embolisation was rejected, according to the results of the study; thus it was decided to perform a laparoscopic splenic-aneurysmectomy. CONCLUSIONS: Splenic artery aneurysms may present with non-specific symptoms, such as abdominal pain or anorexia. However 2-10% of aneurysms debut as spontaneous rupture. For this reason treatment is indicated in symptomatic aneurysms or those with rupture risk factors. In these cases there are different possibilities, such as therapeutic embolisation, endovascular stenting or surgery. Surgical approach varies depending on the location of the aneurysm in the splenic artery, enabling aneurysmectomy, splenic-aneurysmectomy, or aneurysm exclusion to be performed.

Transcriptome analysis of a Cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana) plant with leaf symptoms of a mild yellow mosaic typical of a viral disease revealed an infection with Potato virus X (PVX). The genome sequence of the PVX-Physalis isolate comprises 6435 nt and exhibits higher sequence similarity to members of the Eurasian group of PVX (~95 %) than to the American group (~77 %). Genome organization is similar to other PVX isolates with five open reading frames coding for proteins RdRp, TGBp1, TGBp2, TGBp3, and CP. 5' and 3' untranslated regions revealed all regulatory motifs typically found in PVX isolates. The PVX-Physalis genome is the only complete sequence available for a Potexvirus in Colombia and is a new addition to the restricted number of available sequences of PVX isolates infecting plant species different to potato.

Based on the results of a deep sequencing transcriptome study of tamarillo (Solanum betaceum), we report the genome sequence of a virus from this host plant. Since this probably represents a new member of the genus Potyvirus, the name tamarillo leaf malformation virus (TaLMV) has been proposed. Phylogenetic analysis reveals that TaLMV is the closest relative of Colombian datura virus (CDV), followed by three other potyviruses: tobacco etch virus, potato virus A and tobacco vein mottling virus. This is the first sequence of a potyvirus infecting Solanum betaceum containing the complete polyprotein coding region.

Introduction: Tailgut cysts or cystic hamartomas are rare developmental tumors of the pre-sacral space. Their true incidence is not well known but we must think on it when we have a patient with a multicystic uncapsulated tumor at presacral space. Tailgut cysts are often asymptomatic, and in other cases present with chronic perineal pain, constipation or rectal tenesmus. They must be treated to avoid complications such as infections (perianal fistula or abscess) and malignant degenerations (usually adenocarcinoma). Case report: One patient with anal pain was diagnosed with a perianal abscess. He was operated but at the second month review a MRI revealed a multilocular lesion in the presacral suggesting the presence of a retrorectal cystic hamartoma. An elective operation was performed by endoanal surgical approach using TAMIS. En bloc resection of the cyst was achieved with safe margins. The pathology result reported retrorectal cystic hamartoma. The patient was asymptomatic with no signs of recurrence in subsequent controls. Our experience, despite being based on one case, is evidence that TAMIS (Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery) allows a minimally invasive dissection with similar benefits as the use of TEM/TEO devices. Introdução: Tail gut cysts ou hamartomas císticos são tumores raros de desenvolvimento do espaço pré-sacral. Sua verdadeira incidência não é bem conhecida, mas devemos pensarnele quando temos um paciente com um tumor uncapsulated multicística no espaço présacral. Hamartomas císticos são muitas vezes assintomáticas, em outros casos, apresentase com dor perineal crônica, constipação ou tenesmo retal. Eles devem ser tratados para evitar complicações, como infecções (fístula perianal ou abscesso) e degenerações malignas (geralmente adenocarcinoma). Relato de Caso: Um paciente com dor anal foi diagnosticado com um abscesso perianal. Ele foi operado, mas na revisão do segundo mês uma ressonância magnética revelou uma lesão multilocular no pré-sacral, sugerindo a presença de um hamartoma cístico retrorretal. Uma operação eletiva foi realizada por abordagem cirúrgica endoanal usando TAMIS. A resseção em bloco do cisto foi conseguido com margens seguras. O resultado do exame patológico relatou hamartoma cístico retrorretal. O paciente encontrava-se assintomático, sem sinais de recidiva em controles posteriores. A nossa experiência, apesar de ser baseado em um dos casos, as provas que TAMIS (cirurgia transanal minimamente invasiva) permite um esvaziamento minimamente invasivo com benefícios similares como o uso de dispositivos de MET/TEO.
